I completely adore the Man of Steel soundtrack. It set the precedent for many future DCEU films' scores in a way only Hans Zimmer's work can. Of course I love John Williams' Superman theme, but I will say I was disappointed to not hear Zimmer's Superman theme for more than ten seconds in Justice League when it came into theaters, whereas now I could not be happier about Junkie XL carrying on the torch for Zimmer in Zack Snyder's Justice League. Long live the Zimmer and Williams Superman themes!
@@HankBaxter Well to make an information for you, Junkie and Zimmer worked together in Batman v Superman, Junkie heard Zimmer's original superman theme, so Junkie won't make a different theme for superman, but he changed the Batman music in the snyder cut it set a new path for Batman and it turned out great.
Years have passed, phases has changed. I was in last year of university when the movie came out. This track resonates differently at every stage of life. Hans is the best musician of our age. In my opinion we mr zimmer is the best musician of all time
24:42 This excerpt in the sketchbook became "If you love these people" in the actual Man of Steel OST. Except "if you love these people" is noticeably faster than the bit in this sketchbook. You can clearly tell this early version of "if you love these people" from the sketchbook inspired "This is my world" from man of steel as that is also a slower version of "if you love these people" and is the same speed as the sketchbook version.
@@nothingpersonal- thats difficult cause im not musician, but if you listen to the original both, those are shorter, in this one it feels better in lot of ways
One year late, but here we go. It is essentially like a literal/metaphorical sketchbook. It has the ideas and drive behind a piece of art, which will turn into the final product. But the final product could go through changes and tweaks, ending in something similar but different at the same time.
MOS is essentially the story of the rulers of a doomed alien civilisation that send their only son to earth to save him from their worlds imminent destruction. once he has grown up amongst humans, (hiding his amazing abilities from the world out of fear of persecution) he seeks to find the answers of who he is and where he came from, eventually learning that his place is to be the protector of the people of earth, the superman. When an enemy from his world returns and comes to earth to enact his evil plan, superman will be put to the ultimate test. what could have been an amazing movie but is unfortunately spoilt by bad decisions in dialogue, too many unnecessary flashbacks and the director missing critical beats that achieve those truly memorable and unforgettably epic moments that a story like this is meant to be building to.
If I for one ever have to hear a score in a Superman film that re-uses all this crapola that Zimmer and X.L. conjured for *Man of Steel* and both versions of *Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice* again, then you all have my permission to murder me; in fact, I welcome it -- after all: trying to watch a Superman film or show without any of the true and authentic Superman themes by both John Williams and John Ottman is almost like trying to watch a *Star Trek* film or episode without any of its own themes and styles, or a 007/James Bond film without "The James Bond Theme" (it's both tradition and logic, so I'm just gonna let you "hate" me if you're gonna).
Like SynthEnthusiast said, actively seeking out this masterpiece just to give your shitty take on it is very feminine behavior. You are the embodiment of all Zack Snyder haters

Oh, I'm glad to hear Junkie has carried Zimmer over. Was worried it'd be all different again.

Once you listen to the sketch versions of Flight and Launch, you don't listen to the original versions again.
Agreed
please explain what's the difference between these two?

Reusing this type of sound>>>> old Superman music

I'm sorry. Even tho I was introduced to William's Superman theme first, Zimmer's take is what defined Superman for me.
Who searches for music (of all things) just to comment negatively? Strange attention seeking behaviour
