  • I know I said I was done with this channel, but when ever I find a solution to a known issue I will post it. I have been having the issue of the pump clicking off every 10-20 cents of fuel and would take forever to fill the tank. In this video I show some differences I found with the 06 TJ from earlier models and show how to fix the fuel problem. In the next video I will be showing a issue I finally solved with the 05-06 42rle auto trans shifting issues.

I just bought a 2010 Jeep Wrangler unlimited. I went to fill it and it did the same thing and it over fill too. Thank you for sharing.

You can buy the plastic clips for the evap line at the parts store.

Dude. Great video. You made my Saturday. Could you just buy a replacement part or is it not available?

You have to buy the whole fuel tank. Its BS and people have been trying to sue Jeep for years.

I have seen many of these issues after buying my used '06 Wrangler X that was having the same "no gas in" problem. My question is, why hasn't Jeep done something about this as far as an after market part to permanently fix this? If ethanol is swelling the plastic, this is going to be an issue again and again until u sand too much and have to replace the darn thing. Isn't there a newer part to be had or made that doesn't react like this to additives in fuel? This is a job I dread doing but definitely don't want to pay labor cost to do it either. I am trying to wait until I do rear brake rebuild, rear shock replacement and bump stop swap before I lower that tank.

Mine never swelled a second time. I have noticed it does this more on jeeps where people over fill the tank. Like trying to fill it up the neck. Now when I fill up, and it clicks off, I stop.

How did you fix the pcm issue on your jeep with hard shifting at 2nd gear?

Ended up buying one from Jeep dealer. 1500$ Took 3 replacements from them before I finally gave up and sent it to get resoldered by a pcm repair shop. I sold that Jeep in 2017 and the guy saif its still shifting like it should. I guess the only real way is to pay a electronics repair place to do it.

RV Prepared Yet? Yeah I’ve heard that even new ones from the dealer won’t do it, that you have to get it resoldered

Can you just take the anti spill/siphon valve out? My 06 Just started doing that. Maybe could you just take off the filler neck and knock the valve into the tank?

If you did that, it would pour out onto the ground. You have to drop the entire tank. There is also a dodge truck fill hose you can get that has a valve in the hose. If you google the no fill for a tj, you should find it. I think the same hose works for the JK.

I dropped the tank and removed the entire valve......no issues or leakage when wheelin' at all!
