  • Not exactly a coupe, not exactly an SUV, the X2 is BMW's latest alphanumeric model offering. The X2 is comparatively sporty compared to the X1 SUV on which it's based. But does the style of the diminutive X2 come with any substance?

    After a year and a half of ownership we couldn't be happier. It fits our needs perfectly: fun to drive, enough of a cargo hauler, good gas mileage, very comfortable front seats and a real looker. I imagine you can get a pretty darn good deal on one. We did!

    I’ve had my white X2 for a few weeks and we really like it for a daily driving car. I wanted something smaller than an X1 and this was perfect. I wasn’t a fan until seeing it in person and driving it.

    • @omars.8073
      @omars.8073 6 лет назад

      Well, I have to say I wish the public's perception of minivans wasn't so negative. I think they're wonderfully versatile and comfortable. A slick looking and driving BMW minivan might do a good job to redeem the minivan's reputation! :D

    • @rightlanehog3151
      @rightlanehog3151 6 лет назад +2

      Omar S, To be clear, I have absolutely nothing against the Ultimate Parenting Machine also known as the minivan, it is BMWs that I object to. A new BMW minivan would certainly be good news for Fiat/Chrylser as they would likely be displaced from the bottom of the reliability rankings by the Bavarian van.

    • @gyuck

      If you bought the Kia, you’d have worse materials quality, louder road and wind noise, the doors probably sound like cheap metal clunking together when you close them, less options, and the car isn’t as premium.
      Of course you could spend a significant amount less for the Kia, but you’re getting significantly less of a car 😂

      Nabil M that’s a perfectly valid point; I agree with you on all of that. But the BMW is a luxury car. Luxury cars aren’t just supposed to get you from point a to point b. They’re supposed to be extra

    I really don't like cars like this. I get that people want SUVs and crossovers but this is neither of those things. It's (like the GLA) a taller hatchback that drives worse. These are mostly bought by millennials (young people in general) but I don't see the car being terribly useful compared to say, the X1, which is larger, more practical, and cheaper.

    With all the "safety features" on cars nowadays it is apparent that is to allow society the luxury of being as distracted as it wants to be and avoid the necessity of using common sense. I pulled over a driver of a newer Hyundai Sonata the other night for driving without it's headlights on. He told me, "The headlights are supposed to come on automatically". I told him to stop relying on the technology and just turn on the headlights, that way he knows they're on on. My point on society today and how lazy it has become. Just like the whining about having to walk to the sides of the car to lower the back seat. The poor whittle, whamb!
