I briefly attended this parade yesterday morning. I have to say...I am disappointed that there wasn't more parades in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Considering the huge Mexican-American population in Dallas/Fort Worth county, and in the State of Texas period, there should have been back to back parades and celebrations yesterday and today. I find Dallas a bit segregated by race even now in 2024, and I don't find it a coincidence that this parade was held in Jefferson Blvd which is in the hood. I would have loved seeing a Cinco De Mayo parade in the Uptown area, but maybe that would've alarmed the bougie white people 🤭. Nonetheless, I am happy for all those of Mexican-American descent and I hope you realize how special you are...not just today but everyday. Peace from a Black man who has love and respect for you 😎 .
