Making trade points for primitive archery hunting

  • In this video I show you how to make a broadhead/Arrowhead/trade point.The trade point is made out of a simple spoon and cost me $0.20. All handtools were used to make these Arrowheads.     Daniel, this is a great video. Really like how you showed all the steps right from purchasing those spoons. Those finished trade points came out looking great and very lethal. Good to see you out doing your thing!...All the best!....Ben

      Thanks Ben, also how did the buck skin turn out you had on the stretching rack in your last video? This year I'm planning on making some buck skin for clothes and some more moccasins.

      @@DanielSmithForge Sounds awesome, Man. You will find that buckskin to be very dependable, it just takes a lot of work to get it as soft as you like. That skin came out really soft and nice, I actually just finished smoking it this week. I'm excited to see what you will come up with! Shoot me a message when you go to make some! Take care.....Ben

      I will, I'm actually hoping to get a deer during bow season with my hickory bow and one of my obsidian pointed arrows. And then make buck skin to do some projects and videos from.

    Great video!! But I was wondering how u put the grove in the spoon so u could saw it, I tried it but the blade kept slipping

      I went over the spoon with the hacksaw blade very gently until a small Grove was formed. It helps if you start at the edges on a steep angle, then slowly lower the angle until flat. Hope this helps you.
