Awesome video and epic knife!!
Thanks man
Nice knife!
Thank you!
Great knife. Losing footage is such a bummer. I recently filmed a video forging a knife with my tripod a good distance away from my anvil and somehow 30 minutes of footage was all super shaky. Needless to say, that project didn't make it to video. Keep forging brother!
Thanks, and it does suck losing footage. Did you try to zoom in and have the editing software stabilize it? That is what I do when I do when I'm too lazy to bring out the gimbal for handheld shots.
@@DanielSmithForge Yeah, but no such luck, just made the anvil look like it was swaying in the footage when I tried that.
Yeah, that does suck. Hopefully, it doesn't happen again.
Nice video, love the music !
Thank you, I'm glad you liked it.
One caveat - I did this a year ago and it works well enough, but I think the composting process is slower than using custom designed bins.
Each have pros and cons. Big open hot composting is probably the fastest if it fits your needs
Fucking plastic waste every where......😢
great job buddy
Thank you
Fantastic job on the reinforcements.. 4-8 ground anchors and a few straps over the top.. should stay in your zip code during the next big storm! Much like Trampoline’s, they have a deep seated desire to find OZ!
Mine went through 2 medium storms with just the wood base. 200+ lbs of wood holds pretty good. But I did use 4 ankors on each corner before a major storm came.
Loved the reinforcement of this. Getting back into gardening and was on the fence about what greenhouse to get. So many choices, lol.
There are a lot of choices. As of now, mine is still in perfect condition.
Thanks for the video. I'm going to put a smaller poly tunnel up myself. The only other thing that I'm going to do is to put anti-hotspot tape on the metal before putting on the cover.
That is a good idea. I'm glad you liked the video
nice work mate
Thanks Sam
I like the look of it. I'm sure a hunter of the 1700s would have been pleased to hang it on his belt. Good job.
Thank you, I'm sure they would have as well.
Great video, and nice looking knife!
Thanks, your name looks familiar. Do I know you?
Nice video !
Thanks, you look familiar, do I know you?
That’s going to be a big knife !
the Walmart one takes less labor on frame - plastic appears to be the same
How does it take less labor?
You done a good job! Good video!
Really informative video, I’ve Learned a lot ! Thank you
I am so glad I saw this video. Your reinforcements are great. My husband and I are going to put ours up next week. I will definitely get him to watch your video first.
Glad you liked the video. My greenhouse has made it through plenty of strong storms and is still in perfect shape. Goodluck with yours.
What is the value of the actual product
Dried yellow root sells for about $40 dollars a pound
Awwwww beautiful the kids are helping luv it nice work my man
They like helping, thank you
Nice , I’m going to have to try that one !!
They are very handy
i wish i lived next door to you daniel, you seem like a nice neighbour and a good friend.
Thank you, this was a very nice comment.
Love the video. Keep it up!
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed the video
Has anyone told you that you look like a younger Blackbear forge?
You're the first

Do you have one, or are you just assuming? With the upgrades I've done, mine has been great. Without the upgrades, the greenhouse wouldn't be very sturdy. But the entire point of the video was how to actually make it good.

Very good, and informative ! Thank you for another great video..
Glad you enjoyed the video
That is a good way to learn. I forge mine from stock. 5/8 square usually. Forge On!!!
Definitely is a good way to learn and get setup with good tongs. I plan on making some from stock for certain material I use often.
With all honesty as first I thought he said that he's going to make some thongs LOL
Great video !
Thank You
Another nice video, keep them coming ! Love the channel..
Thank you
I just pulled tight and used sikaflex after pulling tight and weighing down plastic. But I like the idea of plinths you've placed around base.
They have worked very well for me
You need to anchor the wooden base. Otherwise, it makes no difference. How can you remove the greenhouse after the winter? It's the best way to extend the life before UV kills it.
The base is anchored. But the weight alone (150+ lbs of wood)will keep it in place for most weather.
Hai. It's so nice to see you make a compost. The trashcan so perfect for the process
Thank you
Hai. It's so nice to see you make a compost. The trashcan so perfect for the process
This is exactly what I was looking for! We just bought a Vervo greenhouse and immediately I knew it would not withstand the winter in New England if we don't reinforce it.
Yes the reinforcements are definitely needed for wind and snow
Whete do u get replacement plastic and shade plastic
Great video - smart thinking.
Thank you for this excellent tutorial!
Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed the video
Could you please tell us the width of the doorways? Thanks for all the great info in the video!
About 3' but could vary depending on spacing of your supports
Can you put bermuda grass clippings from mowing your lawn in there? And will it kill the seeds & not grow later when you apply the compost to your garden?
Using grass clippings is very common for composting
@@DanielSmithForge Bermuda Grass grows Seed shoots every 3 days where I live. I hate Bermuda Grass, I hate how it spreads & chokes out other plants. I'm wondering if your can put Bermuda grass clipping with the seeds in the bin & will it Kill the seeds? I'd hate to put compost around my tress & have Bermuda grass start growing there. Regular grass makes sense, obviously.
In that case, I would probably avoid it to be safe.
The idea of making compost in a cheap and easy way seems great to me, but you shouldn't throw plastic scraps on the ground when making holes because no one knows where they will end up. Greetings. La idea de hacer abono de forma fácil y barata me parece genial, pero no deberías tirar los restos de plástico al suelo al hacer los agujeros porque nadie sabe dónde acabarán. Saludos. ❤️🎱 🦊🦀🐜
Plastic was picked up after recording stop. I'm glad you liked the idea
rats can go through those holes ez
Bottom holes are buried, and the side holes are too small. No rodents can get in my compost bin.
thanks
You are welcome
