Thank you for always providing great information. My husband and I are going to be in Paris in 2 weeks and are staying in the 10th arrondissement. Literally 5 minutes from the Place de la Republique. I'm so glad we chose a good area, especially near coffee and wine! So excited, it's my first time visiting.
It’s true, as a gluten-free, dairy-free, non meat eating person for most of my four years in Paris, I could always count on the 10th to come through with food options. The first gluten free patisserie got its start in the 10th. It’s a food Mecca there. One thing I used to do with visitors and friends was walk up and down the canal- that itself is the tourist attraction! Thanks, Jay! 👍🏼✌🏼
This is a great series! Kind of nice that you're mixing it up with and without the wheel because your filming style differs and it's nice to see both styles!
Aha! Finally first! Omg what fun, Gustave! I just realized Gustave's dad is taking care of a baby and a boy also! A wonderful foursome (daddy, baby, son and Gustave!). LOVED the dog park! Paris seems very animal friendly. In Germany people brought their dogs in the restaurants and sometimes other places also. Wild to glance down and see a huge wolf hound lounging by your leg... we loved it! It was strange seeing you without the wheel, it is like a car only better, you fit everywhere on it. Great video, I am relishing seeing all the arrondissments in this 20/20 series! Thanks!
Indispensable :-)
@@JaySwanson Awesome! We usually have stayed in the Marais but it looks like we chose a good location this time around. Paris and Invader hunting in the spring will be great.
Our nearest shawarma is fifty miles away, so we'll definitely be hitting Le coeur du Liban next trip. French dogs have to be the most well mannered in the world. I'm always impressed when I see them sitting by their pet humans at restaurants, patiently waiting for their part of the meal.
Gustave was having the time of his life racing around. The veggie meze plate at Coeur du Liban is huge & incredible value. Dare I mention the 'restroom'? Suffice to say I was taken aback when I opened the door and saw a 'traditional' toilet. Absolutely spotless but not what I was expecting. Not these days in France, anyway.
Hey Jay, I cam across your channel doing research for a 2 day trip to Paris while I'm in London for 2 weeks in April. It has been SUPER helpful. Keep up the good work! and great videos..
A big YES for the 10th! This is where I usually stay. One of my favourite places to eat is Brasserie Julien. I wanted to try a shawarma last year, but no time. It's on my list. 😊
Brasserie Julien has amazing decor, doesn't it? Though I did find the food a bit disappointing - I like hot food to be hot, not tepid. If you are into that kind of Belle Époque atmosphère, you might like Bouillon Chartier at the top of the rue du Faubourg Montmartre. Ridiculously cheap as well.
As much as I love Gustave, I was hoping the special guest was Cheryl, I miss Cheryl. Great vids, BTW, the editing and soundtrack are top notch. I'll be in Paris from May 26-30 and these vids have me even more excited for my trip.
Love your idea of visiting each section of Paris🙌🏻 congrats on your channel growth, Jay👌🏻 Thanks for eating your way into our hearts😂 lol Hope you are well...gotta catch up on watching vids...so behind!
We are staying in and Airbnb several blocks south of gare de l’est on rue du faubourg Saint Martin close to bd saint Martin. I’ve heard and read that the area near the train station can be sketchy. How bad is this street at night? I have a wife and young kids to keep safe and I’m a bit concerned. Thanks for any advice!
Hi Jay, Me and my girlfriend planned on traveling to paris this new year. Tickets are booked, but now hotels have to be picked. We found one in the northern part of the 10th district and I wondered if it's safe there. I read some articles where it is strictly said that u should avoid the 19th and 18th district, but since 200. Rue La Fayette is in the northern part of the 10th district I wondered if there might be some concerns abt our safety etc. Thx in advance!
Great Vlog as usual! Looks like the weather has helped so far - i'm sure it wouldn't have been quite so fun if it was raining and cold! Btw - what platform do you use to edit your vlogs? You always seem to be on time with your posting!
Thanks! We'll see how the weather holds. I edit on Premiere if that's what you're wondering. If you want you can check out one of my live edits to see the whole process 😁👍
Love this whole series! So good. I’m going to Paris in the fall so they’ve been super helpful!Unfortunately I’ve heard that the area North of the Porte Saint Martin isn’t safe, especially at night - do you think it could be considered unsafe, or is that just one person’s bad experience?
My patreon is still showing that I am not supporting anyone :( is that because the funds aren't transferred until 1st of the month? :) It's ok I can wait and see if it sorts itself out
No, usually it charges you immediately, so I'd guess you haven't joined/been charged. If you can't figure it out I'd contact their support - they're usually really responsive. Sorry for the mix-up!
Ah, Shawarma. I should have gone for a Shawarma when I was in Paris. See? Soo much pending stuff to try, do, and visit. And we are only halfway on the Arrondisements.
That slomo shot of the Darth Vader puggy just melted my heart. Thanks for that ☺️
He was really cute
The joy on gustave’s face running! starting charlie early on the space invaders Jay
Charlie's gonna be ahead of everyone 👾👾👾
You put a lot into the production of the videos - that's why they are so watchable - and so are you. Well done :)
Thanks!😊
Drinking tea out of my holy belly mug whilst watching this!!!! Another great arrondissement in my opinion...see you tomorrow xx Kerrin and Leia xx
☕👍👍
The 20 in 20 vids are the best. Great idea.
Thanks!😊
10th Arrondissement on Vlog a Day 1,010. Funny how that worked out...

It's well worth the visit 😊

Our Airbnb is in the 10th right near the two Invaders and the large mural...pretty cool seeing the area. So excited to get back to Paris.
There are WAY more than two Invaders right there, just saying 👾👾👾

Not a lot of space, shared by lots of doggos
I need a Jay Swanson in each city of the planet.
Gosh .. happiest puppy in paris .. oui oui
Lots of happy doggos
The dog park shots are the BEST!
Gustave♥️♥️♥️ and his people! Think Gustave really loves being in front of the camera or the attention. Loving this series♥️🥰♥️
Haha, he doesn't mind the attention to be sure 🐕
Loved this!! Glad to find the colorful girl on the wall!!

Your alter ego wants the sun moved, LOL!!!
Love your 20/20’s regards from Chicago.

Thanks for the Gustave guest spot 👍you filmed this on my birthday and it cheered me to watch it. Looking forward to the 11th. Thank you🤗

Jay Swanson thank you 🤗
Perfect vlog, complete with slow-mo puppers, bourbon butter (😳), schwarma and canals.
Not a bad way to go 😊
This series is just making me want to go back to Paris so much! 🇫🇷☮️💪🏽👀👍🏽☮️🇫🇷
😁👍 well worth a return visit or three
Never really noticed the Dog park on the canel Jay until you pointed it out, Doh!
It's only been there for a few years I think
I tried Holybelly yesterday for breakfast thanks to this video. Thank you so much for these videos.

Next time you are in the 10th, try El Guacamole. It's excellent Mexican food to eat in or take out.
Enjoy it ... very much .. He is a good guide of lovely Paris .
😁👍
Slow motion pug footage for the win! 🥰🐶

Have you tried Siseng, over on the canal? Their food is really good. The 10e is such an amazing area.
I don't know that I have yet
GUSTAV!!!! Also, I've not spent much time in the 10th. Will def have to check it out (food) this summer!
Worth it!
Working on the holiday weekend. That's dedication. Good job. 👍
Seems like a poor reason to break the streak 😂
The hostel that I'm staying at is in the 10th, I guess I picked a good area to stay in. It's also close to Gare du Nord.
Make your way towards the canal and eat to your heart's content!😁
I'll be there in a couple weeks and staying in the 10th. I'll have to try Holybelly!!! 😃😃

The best breakfast place in Paris offers American style breakfasts? Really?? Why eating pancakes when you can have gauffres (waffles) and crêpes?
