What about replacing the normal lamp with a photography studio flash - in order to project an image very bright (for a millisecond or so) ... would the LCD screens be able to deal with so much light - would the image still have the right contrast etc?
Yes it would have some typre of OS. Just a simple os like any device such as an iphone running ios or a media streamer, only far less complex. It would be known as the firmware. For a device like this typically it comes with the version it has and you never upgrade or change it. The firmware would be stored on a solid state memory and have a processor to run it like any other device.
i have a viewsonic projector.. convergence , colors dont line up..all shift to left lcds are clean. If i flip projector upside down and flip image in menu it looks fine.. what can i do? are these light tunnel mirrors dirty?
Hi, can you make a vid with running lcd's close up? I suppose that if white light is divided into primary colors if because lcd's are b&w, isnt it? Thanks for posting
This projector teardown video is really wonderfully done, you did an amazing job. One thing I don't understand. If the light is already filtered into red green and blue by the reflective mirrors, why does the lens/lcd apparatus around the 12:00 minute mark also filter rgb too?
RGB Is primary colours of light Red green Blue (the pc uses these) vary each value by the same values of each =gray of different values all values full blast-white all values 0=black RYB= is known was pigment colour, Red, Yellow, Blue, used in painting etc yellow+blue = green, mixing all=black this system assumes that your "paper" is white (no paint applied) this is why you can`t have white ink (except in cartoons), (unless you count tippex which is more like a paint)
Any chance you can show me how to replace the prism unit (according to Hitachi repair center, it needs replacement) since my CP-X2521WN displays purple lines? I would like to attempt the replacement myself by buying the part online instead of tossing it nout. Your thoughts?
It might be easier just to buy a new unit. Almost all of hitachits xga (cpx) projectors are dirt cheap today. Pick a used one up off ebay for close to nothing. It would be more difficult to find and replace the prism than to buy a used projector.
Awesome vid dude love it! Just curious though, since the main board would have a processor, would it have to run a simple OS or is it just kinda running? I've always wondered that....
Hi, I have LG PA75U Projector. I used it very minimum, average of 1hr per day in last two years. All of a sudden while watching a movie the colors turned to blue. I tried to plug out and plug in many times but of no use. Could you provide some suggestions to recover it.
your video is nice... but screen filter glasses had not discussed with detail..... can i mail you? for my solutions of problems.
Can you tell me more about the LCD's? Are they monochromatic? If not does the Epson 3LCD use a monochromatic display?
Nice work , any chance a explanation with DLP ?

Yes and no because your just taking life off the lcd block and you might have the same contrast
Good video to show those compressed air geniuses why its not a good idea to blow air into projectors.

Interesting, thanks for posting.
Mr.j ...what to do if one colour is not coming out
RGB Is primary colours of light Red green Blue (the pc uses these)
vary each value by the same values of each =gray of different values
all values full blast-white
all values 0=black

Can you explain me abt operation of LCD projector I mean the info abt how the electronic signal is converted into an image
