      @MrTsiolkovsky It's hard to find the time sometimes, however RUclips is basically Google with videos and as such is tremendous free advertising opportunity. Busy or not it makes sense.

      Just be an architect and start your own firm. You'll get most of that without too much overlap outside of your discipline.

      @@kalmin9310 I absolutely hate office jobs. I thought landscape architecture would be: coming up with design ideas, sketching estimates, and applying real measurements based on the appropriate knowledge the client gives you. Not being on a computer all day… designing something that requires you to have skill with computers.

    • @lamebagels
      @lamebagels 2 года назад +2

      @@babyg220 you become part of a team, so it’s not as strict as you make it seem. if you have strong computer skills and don’t mind taking on that work, you will get more of that work. someone else in the office may have greater plant knowledge than you, so they’ll do much more research regarding environmental impacts, locally native species, and other requirements needed to be met that fall in line with that skill.
      TLDR: just find the right team who need the skills you offer

    Is it better to be a landscape architect after getting a bachelor in architecture Barch or a bachelors in science environmental design? My school does not offer landscape architecture as a bachelor degree only environmental design. Is a degree in architecture good for this field?

      Yes, this a great answer to her question. At my uni, I only get to chose in my Master course if I want become a landscape architect. Before that, we all study architecture as our main discipline accompanied by landscape and context as well as urban design throughout the years to make us more concious of the importance of the landscape.

    Do landscape architects SOLELY do landscaping? Or is ACTUAL architecture (buildings) implemented in the design?
    Given.... on average the pay is LESS than that of a regular architect. Which is confusing to me as you need a masters...... so why get a masters in Landscape architecture?

    • @courtneycooper7216

      you don't NEED a masters in LA, but many programs offer classes that train you for the certification process. it's not just landscaping, but also understanding the plants needed for the area, the drainage needs of a site, etc.
