I wonder what my guitar playing skills will be in 2 years.. ive been playing for a month. Its going pretty alright. I dont make too many mistakes playing with fingers and i remember chords very easily and know like 7 so far. Im triyng to play this song but switching from E to the barre chords is hard lol and needles to say i cant evne play the barre chords properly as they always buzz and shit

Reminds me of when my parents dropped me and my friend at the movie theatre to see Fight Club
GuitarMadeEZ.com exactly where my nostalgia comes from ... fight club

+PunkSkaful Thanks Buddy! Ha! Sometimes youtube gets thrown off by the tone and says I can't use the music in the video, ha! Thanks bud and keep watchin away!
Cant beat a set of new strings
He's playing it wrong. Listen to Marty Schwartz
little trick: lay your index finger on the 4th fret on b and e.
this way u dont have to move it and just have to remove the middle finger :)
have fun^^
a month or two ago I had just picked up the guitar and could only do the two string intro, now Im getting a handle on the bar chords and this is much easier than I thought, now to get it flowing and sounding good. Thanks for the lesson!
there is a lot of people tutorialing out there I appreciate your organized clear videos! thank you
Thanks Sonny! Means alot to me :) Keep watching my friend! I got more coming your way!
chord progression: E, C sharp minor, G sharp, A (5th fret)
This lesson is great and has helped a lot. However, only begin with an up strum the first time you play the E chord ( from there its DDDDU with emphasis on the third Down strum) and Play the B chord on the 7th fret of the E string with an F major shape ( it gives it the power the song needs)
Also when you play the last part of the lead guitar riff, play: 4s5--5s4--4s5- with the high e at 4,5 and 4 while holding it a bit after you slid into the 5, 4 and 5. The last time you play the riff (just before the chorus) it is as explained above.
The Solo is Spot On! I really appreciate the time and effort that went into figuring it out.
So cool, I never considered learning this song till now! Thank you.
No prob Chris! Thx for watchin'!
So happy to play this song until the bar chords...
You can do it! stick with it brother!
@bingchingler airsoft711 youre either an overweight 40yo man having a midlife crisis or a 12yo kid who thinks hes the shit judging from the "airsoft" in your name
@bingchingler airsoft711 Bar chords are fucking hard to pull of correct and fast...
Horcomdev The third by now you're probably able to play this
LEARN BARRE CHORDS IF I WERE TO RELEARN GUITAR THAT WOULD BE THE FIRST THING I MASTER ILL SAY IT AGAIN BARRE CHORDS WOULD BE THE FIRST THING ID MASTER

+mark dawson Nice Mark! Thanks for checkin' it out bud! Keep Rockin'!
I CANT DO BAR CHORDS 😭
real
Thanks, I recently bought Rocksmith in order to improve a bit to the guitar. It's a good game but it won't explain me the strumming pattern. You did that well! The only thing that is missing to be absolutely perfect would be to have the tab while you're playing but in this song they are useless.
Thanks weedshot! Yeah I try to make it as easy as possible and I've heard a ton about rocksmith but havent tried it. Would you say its best for beginners or works for everyone? About the tabs, I used to tab everything out but due to current court cases over tablature I'd rather not go down that road. Besides, the best thing I ever did for myself was to quit going online and looking for tabs. It becomes a crutch. If you try to figure stuff out by ear, you activate a portion of your brain that matures incredibly fast. Yes, the comfort zone is gone but the musical world gets INCREDIBLY BIGGER!!! Thanks for watching my videos :)
Love when the A miner hits 👌
best tutorial yet! thanks!!
Thanks Warren! Glad to help :)
Pointer finger HAHAHA, some refer to the middle finger as their pointer finger. Frank and Joey had a real knack for coming up with simple, dissonant sounding, powerful guitar parts
Ha! I remeber two years ago when I tried this song from this very lesson and it just killed me. I've practiced it for about two weeks and still coudn't nail it, and my fretting hand was killing me. Now it almost seems too easy.
one of my fav song from my fav movie but i cant break the 1st rule, glad to finally play it
Glad I could help! Great movie! I remember seeing it in theatres. Thanks buddy for taking me back memory lane ;) I appreciate the comment and Keep rockin!

Jaime Gudino Thanks Jaime! It's a Martin DCX1E. Thanks for watching and I got more comin' soon so don't you worry ;)
Great lesson! One correction. For that last note of the solo it sounds a little flat when bending it. Classical vibrato sounds right.

this would be so cool to play at school
This was really helpful, thanks! Only I have small hands so it's difficult for me to play barre chords, especially since I'm so used to power chords most of the time.
+Ari Echo Don't worry Ari, my hands arent the biggest either, you just gotta get the barre chord trick down. I'm putting together a video package that helps with barre chords. Keep checkin' back bud!
