I would go for the 2nd house. If I can afford over a million pounds to buy a house, I can afford it's upkeep. It didn't have a beautiful garden like the mystery house but with the 400k saved, I can create that. I just loved the space and layout of the 2nd house, the land as well as the price and also the privacy it will afford occupants of the house. Everyone will have their own space.
House #2...why would the master bedroom lead through to another large bedroom with its own ensuite? ..that adjoining bedroom doesn't look like it has its own door and you'd have to travel through the master bedroom in order to get to it
