Thanks! I watched everyone of your videos that had “300” in the title before I bought it. Lol. I’d really like to get the 6500 kit. Having trouble with my aer staying collapsed after being tied down. None of my previous air forks have done that. Im not an air fork fan to begin with. Who did you or maybe it was your buddy use to instal it?
@@AndrewDeVries211 Have not had any issues with stock AER forks (riding or tied down). I've seen them require compress and extend in the showroom to get the pressure on both sides of the piston otherwise they are low. I've ridden quite a few bikes with WP AER forks with the 6500 spring insert kit - they feel really good, plush and planted. Brad at RideWorx knows how to set up the suspension on the WP bikes - talk to him and get an idea of options. 300 TBI bikes are a lot of fun and once you adapt to the lightweight, quick response, and big power you may not want to ride your 4-strokes anymore!
Not my 450, but I did make a few laps on it yesterday. I enjoy the 300sx more, it’s more fun, but I’m hands down slower on it than the 450. The 450 suspension was plush and nice. I’d need different springs for my weight, but the showa felt superior to the WP. Immediately I was reminded of how much power 450s have and how they can get you out of a jam with less effort. For example, inside line on 180 turn,I need to take the outside line to get a run on my 300 to get over a quick double. With the 450, it has the power to take the inside and easily pop over the double. The 450 makes up for lack of skill lol. I like that they made much needed updates to mapping, there’s now a phone app like Yamaha vs those plug in couplers. Also the new air box design is like a mix of Yamaha and ktm. It’s a flat filter like Yamaha with a snap in design like ktm. I had a 21 kx450, sitting on it, it felt familiar to the previous generation. Unlike when I’m on a new yz450, it feels nothing like it’s previous generation.
I’d say so. The only negative would be if you are racing competitively and the 300 size is an issue. I’m just a weekend warrior and race vet open classes when I do.

Which one did you enjoy riding more…. The 300sx or new kx450?!

How good is this bike? Is it worth getting the 300sx over the 250sx?
