The knight has the unique property of being able to threaten any piece other than a knight, and not be threatened back by it. This is actually a very powerful ability which is counterbalanced by its limited top speed.
Actually the Knight is slower, since it is the only piece aside from pawn and King that can't move to the other end of the board

You can threat a knight if that knight was protected the king
A rook can attack a bishop without being attacked by the same bishop and vice versa
@@neilpatrick1553 you fail to take into account the queen, the knight however can attack anything without being counterattacked by any other piece other than itself. It can attack the king from a safe distance, the bishop, rook, queen and pawn. The only way for a knight to attack another knight is to have the attacked knight be pinned to the king to properly immobilize it. Knight is just op in the early game

knight is just on another level, so many possibilities, impossible to predict
The possible attacks literally feel like they are randomly scattered for low ELO players. It's crazy but the knight is the way to win in low elo.
It hits at most 8 squares at any point in time, but yet it feels like they hit many more than that
The knight is a great piece but good players can see the fork coming and make preparations to defend it. It's the only piece that you can't block check from, only capture or move away.

Fun fact: given enough moves, the knight can cover every square on the board
I know the knight fork. If you stay in one square diagonal or 2 square straight from it then in the next move it will trap you!!!

No maybe rook is good as you can checkmate with it.You also can't force mate with 2 knights
Knight is way worse. Its because you cant handle simple forks. Dont move pawns too far as it makes a knight hop into your base. Generally knights defend the pawns at start and assist the queen but if you cant handle a single knight properly you are probably under 800 rated. Rook is alot more dangerous. If you ever simplify down to pawns and knight vs pawns and rook endgame. The rook will dominate by moving to pawn to pawn and you unable to hold onto them all as it quickly move from one side of the board to the next. Even a bishop would struggle to the fact that it can only guard a certain square colour. In open positions the knights are generally worse than a bishop even.
