She’s for real. She’s taken the mantel from all. Even on the men’s side, Djoker has gotten shaky, and Theim appears one grand slam win and done. On the women’s side , she’s become the consistent champion on hard courts. I don’t expect much on clay from her but I want to see what she can do on grass. She should be able to make it through to a championship. We shall see. Lovely champion. I’m so sad USA declined to support her and allowed Japan to support and claim her.

I'm very happy to see Osaka win. She is definitely very tough to beat on a hard court. In the final, Osaka only landed 48% of her first serves. If she can improve that number, she will be even tougher to beat. I'm also curious to see how well Osaka does on clay this year.

So grounded, humble personality, a real Champion! Her growth arch both in tennis and as a person has been so incredible that big sponsors like Workday (who sponsors mostly Golf players), Nissan Cars, Nissin Foods, Tag Hauer, LV, Shiseido, and others are still lining up to be endorsed by Naomi! Hope she could have an exhibition match with Li Na! That would be epic, exciting and fun to watch!
