This absolutely works, I followed the instructions 2 weeks ago, and have had no issues at all with my graphics card! Thank you very much for sharing this info.
Thanks for the video - I tried this with my late 2009 iMac 27" today and it solved my GPU issue. The hardest part was at the end when reinserting the small cable from the GPU into the back of the logic board. While I had the case open, I also removed as much dust as I could. I didn't have time today, but next time I may also attempt applying a new layer of thermal paste on the CPU, but that will mean taking the logic board out. Thanks again !
I know what cable you talking :) The first time when I tried to fix my iMac, I broke that small cable I need soon as possible buy a new one :D I am really happy for you that you find my video and fix it on your iMac for yourself and save money. Thank you for your comment and happy Christmas and new year.
@Svaikis10 same to you, have a great Christmas and New Year. I did this process with my 13 Yr old son, so he learnt something new too. He will now be using the iMac and now knows exactly what's behind the screen :)
@@Svaikis10 I don't mean that you do a bad job, you actually do a great job. The product is worthless, and no matter how much it costs to repair it, it is not an excuse for temporary repairs. Since we know that it is caused by poor heat dissipation, why does no one increase the heat sink or fan to eradicate the problem. Every time it is a temporary repair, it is not the attitude that a professional should have.
I think that they want to make extra money like many companies that sell their products, but make extra money by selling parts and providing service. It's good that there is RUclips, where you can look and fix things yourself and thus save money
if you have another pc, you can try to fix the old one. If you have the graphic card problem on your 2012 iMac.You need just screws drivers, thermal paste, and inspiration.
I bought a thermal paste on eBay.Name of thermal paste (K5-PRO & K4-PRO) The seller from Greece.I using my computer now only for watching RUclips and social media. And no problem still working.

What exactly does baking do to the GPU and gets it fixed?
Is your iMac still working?
Great Video ! Happy for you its working again for you ! Thanks so much for sharing !
Thank you :)
Keep baking, and keep breaking. is there any final solution? can we put an extral fan close there? or finding another type of gpu?
If you want to pay 300$ every time to fix the GPU, then take it to a PC repair shop. My PC still works after baking the GPU and there is no problem.
