Thanks for the review. Recently recieved mine this past week and my experience is the same: robust, well devised packaging. Survived the trip from Lithuania to Canada with no damage. All parts are medium, to heavy duty grade and the devise itself is of premium quality. Initial flights have yeilded very positive results, especially helos. It is an expensive upgrade but if you are seeking another piece that enhances your immersion/experience then this is for you. Do be aware that it is a big unit with a large footprint so you will have to make allowances for that. Happy flying
Hey your opener welcome page says, "Winwing skywalker rudder pedal review." Thought i was on the wrong video at first. Just had to let you know. Thanks for the time and content you make for us.
interesting video, though I personally will wait for force feedback its good to see they finally making waves into the hobby, also for discord link the falcon's ledge link doesn't work.
I need to get flying again, I had a shoulder surgery and it doesn't feel great to reach down yet, I do my it, I just need to get to the point that I can finish the review
It's ugly as sin, but it's the most versatile FFB joystick on the market when it comes to software and proper grip support. I'm just not confident Moza nor WinWing will reach that level.
That's a very good review !!! Honestly , I don't know to who this device intended to. It looks like a prototype to me (Heavy, pully outside etc) . pricing is very high if you consider it's only one small part in the big chain - only the base (no stick). if you consider you have to get collective , throttle, pedals etc... (PC/VR) spending 900 EU on a base is gonna be for the enthusiasts / business. But when you understand actually what we need , you can defiantly see that we need a system that get's us full control for damping , springs, trimming and feedback. to get all of that in one package it's gonna be motors and electronics. you cannot do all of this with springs and cams. I will be waiting to see what the big guns will release soon, hopefully to see YOU compare them to that beast. I am referring to MOZA , Winwing. probably Virpil and VKB will enter the game also. don't know what Thrustmaster is doing. Pricing for Moza is already known for about 550$, so if it can do 70 percent from what that beast is doing - A lot of us mid range buyers will go that rout I believe. LOVE !
The Rhino and the Moza have virtually the same specs regarding max. torque. However the Rhino beats the Moza big time in regards to software and support (at least for now).
@@ShimonMaruani the Rhino is made by a single person, this is a production model, and the build quality is quite good. Expensive yes, but mass manufacturing will definitely help to bring the price down. Moza, and Winwing both have hardware that will likely rival the Rhino, but the software is the thing that for now will continue to set the Rhino apart. The Rhino is far ahead in this regard. I flew it for a couple days without the Rhino telemetry and it makes a HUGE difference.
@@FalconsLedge You know in a way it is a good thing. if the hardware is good , and software lacking, it can only get better. especially when talking about large company with big resource. If the hardware lacks, it means I am stack with what I got and I have to replace it or find a way to upgrade. That Rhino is great, but it will need to get smaller and cheaper to compete , or it will stay positioned as a botiuqe level product - and it is fine as well. as a consumer, I am holding all buying for bases, I was looking for good cyclic option as I main choppers. The CM3 I believe is the best for it. but the current state is that force feedback is the the futer. I don't need to use springs and cams, to open and re adjust. Just move a slider. and I can switch between platforms easy. If want to play chopper and switch to F16 - I will probably have to buy two bases. Any way MOZA and Winwing I hope you read it - SEND HIM TEST UNITS !!!! cheers
@ShimonMaruani as the software matures, we will either see Mozas hardware shine, or it will expose issues, we shall see. Either way, the competition will be good for all of us as consumers

@@thomaslamont3237 oh yes I certainly have dealt with the footprint! It's done pretty well so far

Great video John!
Thanks!
8:25 The base wiggles a lot, just when you drop the stick against the front stop. Is that mounting stiff enough?
@@Darrylx444 I actually added a 3rd screw because of that. I think I'm going to add a 4th

@@RigstersJourney thanks I'll get that fixed
How you feeling about it a few months in?

Hope recovery goes well :) just got to finalize my order today
@PadinnPlays I'd do it again
Built the Laserwing miniFFB with RMD x8 Actuators and Odrive Pro drivers instead. Much sexier👍
Is that case made of MDF? Those joints make me think that.

@@MrSpinkser yeah the software is absolutely huge. I did reach out to Moza to see if they would be willing to send me a unit to compare.
