If Deere made the E series with a 3 range transmission and an intragraded loader joystick they’d sell a ton. I don’t need the cruise control and all the bells and whistles but I work 90% of the time in mid range and the loader joystick is a dealbreaker.

On the 3D does the PTO stop operating each time you press the clutch?

Yes, it will start to slow down when the clutch is pressed.

Does the 3D have the heavier duty front axle vs. the 3E?

The front axles are the same on these two. The difference is the back axle. The rear axle is significantly heavier on the 3D.

No, not on the model of loader that they can have which is the 300E Loader.

Can’t have a backhoe with the D. Both have one brake peddle. No good for the woods with just one. Need to be able to lock a rear wheel if needed. That leaves R or nothing
