  • Some really good stuff I picked up online for projects. Very good to have on hand, and fairly inexpensive. You can buy it at the link below. Can also be used to bond tempered glass to polycarbonate sheets to make bulletproof windows.

    I bought the laser bond! I was pleasantly suprised, it simply works great!
    Now I have an option for refilling and/or just stocking up!
    I am an avid electronics hobbyist and maker, hacker, DIY magic man! As I am 31 now and am going back to finish my EE dream, I have found a new drive and love for any Engineering! I have been building my own Shop/ Electronics lab, so I was just going to get/ order the Sunflash UV curing fiberglass resin, and hope it would be close! I know it is amazing on its intended purpose, fiberglass!
    Well long story,short, THANK YOU!
    I love the maker, hacker etc. community for reasons like this! Just to help others, taking time to film/ say hey this works, if you are like me, try it!

      Not all acrylic is UV resistant. If it is, and you're bonding it to glass, you'd expose the glass side.

      Dries very hard, but vibration over time may cause the repaired area to fall out. Lightly rough up the repair area with 400 grit abrasive paper, then clean with 91% rubbing alcohol before applying the material.

    • @electronicsNmore
      @electronicsNmore  6 лет назад +1

      Only works on CLEAR plastics. The UV light needs to be able to reach the resin to cure it fully. I think it's strong stuff, but you may have to do your own tests. Thanks for watching!

    Can UV C lamps be used for curing UV glue. Please reply.

    • @electronicsNmore
      @electronicsNmore  4 года назад

      It depends what part of the UV spectrum the adhesive is sensitive to. 365nm? 395nm? It varies. Thanks for watching! Be sure to share the link to my video with others.

    • @GammaSouljah
      @GammaSouljah 2 года назад

      No UV C is 100-280nm Wavelength. UV Cured Glue/Paint/Resin/Ink cures with UV A which is 315-405nm, but most are more focused within that at 365nm, 385nm or 405nm. I highly doubt you actually have a real UV C lamp which is radiating anything in the 100-280nm wavelength... compared to UV-A and UV-B (sunbed wavelength) UV-C is dangerous to human cells and also very expensive compared to UV-A ....

    Well it came yesterday and I was very excited to give it a try, put a little drop on something shone my uv torch at it for 5 seconds and tested, it was still wet, tried again with the light for 10 seconds, still wet, finally I set the light on top of the drop and left for a couple of minutes and it was still wet, not impressed. Next I took it outside into bright full sunshine and put 3 drops onto something after a few minutes it had dripped in each other drop creating a long smear but was still wet, left it for the rest of the day and overnight and checked it and guess what? still wet, extremely disappointed in this product, I would not recommend it to anybody that want's to glue small objects, from what I can gather from the extremely limited information on this product it is only useful for glueing large spans of glass together.

      The UV led you're using must not be high intensity, or the spectrum(nm) is wrong. I have a feeling you have a bad mix. Placing the adhesive in full sun will quickly start setting the adhesive. In 10-15 minutes the job is done. Contact the supplier and request another bottle. I have no problems with my adhesive(as you saw in the video). I recently glued a broken beak on a crystal dove. No problem. Thanks

    • @Ziplock9000
      @Ziplock9000 6 лет назад +2

    QUESTION, is there a way to reverse the adhesive if I needed to separate or remove what I used the UV glue on? If not what’s the best way to get it off? Also have you tried the “Nichia UV LED” that uses 365nm. Excellent review of how it works and, more importantly, it’s clarity.
