I've had those feelings and I understand or the feeling that someone has been in the area. I have carpal tunnel in both hands. I've attempted to make the Adirondack setup. Great video.
I get that too sometimes, and yes sometimes in places that usually feel familiar and safe. It's like someone is there or has been there recently and it's unnerving. Sometimes it goes very quiet all of a sudden too which can be a bit strange. Different woodlands definitely have a different feel to them. 🤔
Nice piece of woodland. Always nice to get out for a brew. Know that "old" feeling. At 71 the knee and back don't do well, but I still do whatever I have to to get out when I can. Just that need for me. Stay safe and thanks for the video.
A really relaxing vid to watch. The tarp being put up in silence was good. The solognac blended really well with your surroundings and the tree trunk. I feel your pain with the rain, it literally puts a dampner on everything especially in midwinter. Always good to see you out.

This is probably not such a big problem in the UK but in Australia the bush is where dodgy people get up to all sorts of illegal activities. Growing pot is the obvious one. They graft their plants on to native plant's and trees to ensure a low maintenance harvest that's harder to detect. It gets darker than that though. I have a few favourite river spots I like to explore. But yes, you can feel it when your being watched. If your really still you can feel the direction from which it's coming. Puts the hair on the back of your neck up. Drug trafficking, drop points and exchanges. A lot of its done in the bush unfortunately. The other favourite is offshore in fishing boats. Then you have the creepy cult type's who hide behind the moniker of alternative communities....
@@jim-bob-outdoors All those involved in illegal activities are paranoid about getting caught and the antagonism is very tangible. I go bush exploring on my off road bike. Sometimes you get told to turn around, even if it's a public trail. Best not to argue. Accidents happen. Especially if your on your own. It's amazing how many young lads can afford fancy 4x4 rigs. It's the same in the US. The drug economy owns half the town. The other half turns a blind eye to avoid trouble. The cop's are outnumbered. Our local cop has had many death threats.

Great video Allan. Is there some kind of ancient pre Norman conquest connection with the woodland? There could be some kind of energy in the place. In one of the National Parks that I bushwalk in, there fairly remote waterhole that has cultural significance in the culture of one of the local aboriginal tribes. You definitely get a weird sense of some kind of presence even if you know you are the only one there.
