A 2 camera shoot in the PSGF! Imagine what an extra 12” would have allowed. A 3 camera shoot? Great job on these Junipers. Merry Christmas to you and your family Dave. 2025 should be a great year. Looking forward to Bonsai Expo ‘25.
Great job on them junipers. They are one of my favorites, but I can’t keep them alive maybe to much hasty trimming. But that’s how we learn! Ain’t that right Dave? 😂
Dave...Missed the new venue to my chagrin...Last minute dinner plans with some friends...Is it wrong I would have rather been watching the show verses holiday dinner with friends?!? I'm hooked deep...So, I've had a Blue Star for about a year now...I take it out once in a while a star at for some kind of inspiration but nothing has happened up until this video viewing...Kind of got some ideas on how to approach it now thanks to yet another great video...Thanks for sharing and all you do...Sequim, WA...(Pronounced - Sq-him)...;-)
Great video and love the detailed steps. Just my views but for the first blue star tree, isn’t the back trunk just adding to the clutter? Would removing it completely have been a more drastic but impactful step?
@@deepanjanbanerjee3491 excellent idea. I’m not sure where it will go next. That back one could very well go. Big it’s such a young composition, the decision can wait.
@@nicolejordan3270 I by would just let them eventually fall off. But you could snip off if you want. Not sure if any new buds would firm in those areas, but I’d rather see first, if I even want that branch long term.
Excellent! Nigel and Dave with some great bonsai.
Having my cup of tea and watching another great video.
What a change!!
Nice pruning on the two. Spring growth will take off for you. Now for you to rest up so that you enjoy your family gathering.
Great prunes, Dave. They are all prepped for the spring!
Nice vibrant color on this triple.

@ perhaps reduce it to a small stub first?
What about the brown needle bits? Can I carefully pick those off? Or will I have to name my blue star Harry? Lol

@DavesBonsai Thank you! I really like my blue star and want it healthy first of all. Happy holidays! Thanks for all the educational videos!!!
Be honest Dave......would you consider that Blue Star three trunk juniper for our ladder, pumice trade???
@@maryweber4176 let’s see how it pushes out growth next spring first.
