    Glad to see a company that stands behind their product...and it looks great! Since I live in Ohio, and this is an Ohio based company, their roof product is definitely on my radar for when our architectural shingles reach the end of their life.

    I was really surprised when I turned on this video and found out that the roofing company was based LITERALLY in the next town north of us. In fact, the last place I lived before moving HERE was Piqua. Funny to see something from my neck of the woods on a video from so far away. Especially on a channel I've been watching since before you even MOVED to that property.

Thank so much for keeping us all in the know about great products and people!! So... next is inspections!! I'm just so excited! Smiles and blessings...

    There seems to be a zigzag pattern. Maybe at install, they should have randomized them a little better, i.e. don't place them in the order that they come out of the box. Seems like something I'd consider, though.

    What is the price per sqft?

    • @FJB2020
      @FJB2020 2 года назад +3

      After doing a little digging... In 2020, before the 200% steel markup, these started around $10 a sqft and can go upwards of $20 with all the fancy coatings.. So that could be $20-40 in todays costs... You could get a Tesla roof for that..

    I like the look of the steel shingles. The only thing I don’t really like is the color, it looks kind of pinkish to me, which doesn’t go with the golden color of the porch roof and posts, but maybe it’s just the screen I’m on. Great that you are happy, that’s what matters. You are paying attention to every detail and you’re going to love your home when you’re done.

    Wouldn't steel shingles be a lightning conductor?

    • @GraysonMedical
      @GraysonMedical 2 года назад +6

      It’s actually hooked up to a “lightning green energy system” where every time it gets hit by lightning you completely fill up your solar battery reserve

      Whereas metal conducts electricity, it does not "attract" it. Therefore, lightning typically hits the highest object around. If the roof does get hit, the charge will ground out through the structure. By code, plumbing pipes and things through the roof must be PVC not metal.
