When we see two people fighting we should be appalled or displeased at the sight of it, Not be happy or excited….
He feels that it is extremely wrong to take excitement or pleasure in seeing someone’s son or daughter be being injured or beat up. In the eyes of the Lord that’s immoral and wrong!
For these reasons, amongst all of the sports, MMA And Boxing are the sports that the HOLY Father despises the most as He considers them as especially wicked or evil. And I am sorry to say it, but He is right.

@@priestfultonjwingbajr1430 based on that definition God would have to hate every contact sport there is as they all can be pretty violent which I don’t think is the case. Also your verse has to do with loving violence for the sake of violence while MMA and the like are professional settings and purely competition. There’s nothing inherently evil. Do you have any other proof or perhaps more than 1 verse. Also this a video about cardboard not MMA so I think you’re a little lost my friend.

Production value has definitely been improved throughout these duels. The quick cuts, the camera quality, the card sample presentation, it's a lot of little things, but it adds up to so much.

Paul's abolsute despair at Alec just happening to have drawn Poison of the Old Man was priceless and so, so relateable to anyone who's gotten paired up with mid range burn decks that lock you out and kill you with that old, but shockingly dangerous old common. XD His "NoooooooooooOOOOOoooo!" is comparable to Luke Skywalker finding out his father was Darth Vader all along.

Dark Hole was my dad's favorite card. He was the one that would have 3 in his deck.
It was almost the only way he'd beat me when we played when I was young.

Gawd, this is great Yu-Gi-Oh on RUclips. One deck can't pendulum summon, the cyberse deck can't sustain a board. The interplay between Alec & Paul is what I love about this game.

Not only was this duel a lot of fun to watch, you guys take your time to explain everything very clearly and make matches understandable. Trying to find any info on link monsters outside of how they are summoned is impossible. Best YGO channel on YT by miles!

Honestly duels with simple starter decks like this are so charming, they remind me of duelling as a kid before I knew how to do big combos.
The production quality has improved drastically, and it finally matches the high quality of Team APS. Good work as always guys!
16:47 Red Sparrow Summoner's effect was to Special Summon 1 Warrior with 1500 or less ATK but he summoned Blue Dragon Summoner, a spellcaster.
You guys are amazing. Love all the content. Hands down some of the most underrated content creators out there. Something I would love to see: you guys doing some more house tournaments. Either draft or not. Love seeing all you guys together. Instead of needing to buy more stuff, just find some way to “make packs” with all those bulk commons you got in them crates!
I used to collect Yu-Gi-Oh but never had friends to duel. You guys bring interesting ideas for deck theory, and really share the good vibes of the game.
Try Duel Links or Master Duel when it comes out.

I always enjoy these structure and starter deck duels. Keep going. There are so many out there. Might be worth also going back to try older the structure decks against different opponents. You did fire vs water, but how about the fire vs zombie or some other combination.
Alec said a mistake there, I'm sure he figured it out, but you can't Pendulum summon the levels that are shown on the pendulum scales, you can only summon monsters who's levels are in-between those numbers, so for a pendulum scale of 1 and 8, he can only pendulum summon monsters who's levels are between 2-7. I never thought someone would lose a duel because someone played Poison of the Old Man, that ending was great. LOL :D

Ya gotta love how Alec summons out blue dragon summon off of red sparrow summoner's effect when red sparrow summoner specifically states it needs to be a warrior type monster, which blue dragon summoner is not. Also gotta love how he even says it needs to be a warrior XD. Nonetheless still a fantastic video.

this was soooo fun to watch for some reason i think the simpler the cards you have make the games so much more fun that's why structure deck duels are my favorites
Killer duel and love the increased editing quality, it really shows.
Here's a series idea, kinda just ripping off Lithium, but each week have two duelists play with a different historical deck. Such as Dino-Rabbit vs Tengu-Plants or GOAT Format. This way y'all can showcase some of your favorite decks and talk about the history of the game
*EDIT for spelling* Ok a bit of a rant on each decks, so TL;DR, Pendulum Deck was outright the worst starter deck, and failed its main job, while the Link Starter Deck did it perfectly.
Personally, I think the Pendulum Starter Deck is as flawed as the Elemental HERO starter deck. In that it only gives you 2 Pendulum cards, both of which can only use their effects when you have other pendulum cards on the field...which you don't have. Add in that their effects are concurrent with Odd-Eyes PUNDULUM Dragon, but give you every other dragon plus normal Odd-Eyes Dragon thinking it would be fine, making them effectively worthless. PLUS, those packs they give players don't even give you a chance to pull additional Pendulum cards to help even SUPPORT and teach players how to use the damn deck, let alone any reliable backrow support to help new players keep them same in friendly matches like this. It effectively fails its primary job as well in teaching players how to Pendulum Summon, and imo was probably the worst starter deck made, and the eventual start of the downfall for the mechanic overall in Konami's eyes, which is a shame.
If anything, Paul's Link starter deck was the real winner in the end as it did what a Starter Deck should do. It included the core card of the series protagonist (Decode Talker), with cards to help support it (Cyberse type monsters, 2 additional LINK monsters, plus splash-able cards like Cyber Dragon and Photon Thrasher to get Decode Talker out faster). Add in to the fact you got incredible backrow support cards for s starter deck, and the ability to make probably a decent entry level deck for around 20-30 dollars, and this deck bar none successfully succeeds at its job of both teaching a new mechanic, as well as introducing a new monster type, and even giving players a chance to make a deck for casual fun that is decently and favorably strong.
Overall, an interesting video, and look at how far Konami has come in the creation of starter decks. However, it also doesn't help make one think that Konami really had no hope for the Pendulum arc-type from the very beginning, which is disappointing in all honesty as its quite an interesting and fun mechanic. But in the end, Konami wanted to push what is more popular, and LINK Summoning did just that to a degree for many that Pendulum Summoning didn't.
I’d like to think there might have been a few more pendulums in the booster packs that were in the box, but on its own the pendulum deck is pretty bad
Maybe they didn’t want all the pendulum monsters being summonable from the extra deck for a starter deck. Reviving your monsters every single turn seems broken so they might have limited the number of pendulum monsters. The non-pendulum monsters are not abusable. If the starter deck had 5 pendulum monsters in it, you can SS 3 pendulum monsters every turn. They should have probably included at least 3 pendulum monsters though, so the pendulum mechanic (from extra deck, not hand) could be used.

Why tout a starter deck to teach a new summon method, and not include more cards of the summon method. 5 Pendulum cards would have been fine, it meant people can learn to use them. Here, you got 2, which from what we saw with Alec, barely can be drawn, and used unless he had met its requirements. He had have more, he would have done the goal of the starter deck. By limiting it, you defeat the purpose. This isn't for the uber comeptitve, this is to teach a new mechanic, which this deck failed to do.

That sounds kinda boring tbh. Plus, I think it shows more skill to deal with decks that absolutely WILL brick and still managing to scrape out a win. This kind of video we're watching here is exactly what I wanted to do with a friend of mine in High School because we couldn't financially keep up with the ones who would run Regionals decks at our Locals. It was frustrating then and that's why I'm here now

@@johnhughes8797 I think the difference between our opinions on this matter boil down to me not really caring about the newer stuff past Arc-V (which I didn't end up finishing) in the TCG/OCG. I'm not gonna say that what you're suggesting is boring again because that would be rude. I for one, with my outlined bias towards the card game, would find it not appealing since there are other RUclipsrs for that and I'm not watching them. You and others like you, however, I believe fully would enjoy videos like that. So instead of hating on your idea anymore, I'm gonna keep quiet since I'm still getting the content I want anyways and you're just asking for some more variety. I use to play yugioh before my mom burned all of my cards because she thought they were “evil”. I cried for months on in lol. The game has changed so much since then (2004). Im watching you guys duel and it’s bringing back so many memories. I’m gonna go buy some yugioh cards and hop right back in the game lol. Hopefully I can get up to speed.

This kinda hits home for me because I started off with the Space-time showdown.
My first time playing pendulums (imagine jumping from gx to arc v with synchros, XYZ and pendulums now a thing and I had to learn all that as I started buying sealed products like a sealed only challenge losing time and again at locals until I bought the master of pendulum structure deck (X2) and built a deck using that...

I started in the game with the Super Starter Deck Time-Space Showdown and I like that product. Odd-Eyes/Performapal is my favorite archtype nowadays thanks to this Starter Deck :3
Its impressive how the first pendulum summoning deck only had like two pendulum cards in it. I opened that deck and was disappointed with the sheer lack of pendulums in there and the annoyance of the empowered warriors restrictive effect conditions.
If you’re going for a name for each series, you could call this one “Structure Stand-Offs”.

You normal summoned Bitron & Marauding Captain in the same turn. He could have flipped Seven Tools in Game 1 because Marauding Captain should not have been on the field.

Hey I bought the super starter deck as a fill in deck for me in 11th grade when I moved...I've actually won a few games because it had a bit of Empowered warrior support and one of my win cons was Vendra the empowered warrior. I mean I also had the monarch and Golden dragon. Honestly Super starter pendulum is a GREAT starter deck to help teach people.
Man I loved the SpaceTime structure. The Empowered/dragon summoner archetype is GENUINLY really cool, and I feel like they would have been solid at the locals level if we'd got their pendulums in New Challengers like the OCG did.
This is a cool mini series and im happy that paul is in this one

Back in forth does happen a lot still now. You just need to play a deck with a simmilar power level and you're fine or a control deck. Or if you don't staples and good generic cards help.
