Thanks for coming along y'all! Sorry it took so long for me to do another Vocaloid video haha. If you have suggestions for the next one, pop them below!
There's a game called Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage/Project SEKAI ft. Hatsune Miku, and they have a bunch of songs, characters with interesting stories, and covers. Highly recommend :D
Wowaka, the composer of Rolling Girl, unfortunately passed away in 2019. The song itself makes me really emotional because it talks about suicidal thoughts and it was something that Wowaka struggled with during life. You should check out the lyrics
RIP wowaka, I love all his songs, especially Rolling Girl, Unknown Mother Goose and Two-Faced Lovers. I even managed to buy the physical CD "Unhappy Refrain".
Fun fact- Kaai Yuki’s voicebank was the first to have been recorded from the voice of an actual child. That’s why her voice sounds so different and child-like. For legal reasons, her voice provider wasn’t revealed. The Kaai Yuki character is meant to be an 9 year old little girl
You should make a whole video listening to Kikuo cuz honestly, not even all the adjectives Lady Gaga used is enought to describe how talented he is some Kikuo songs I recommend: •Hole-Dwelling •And so you became the moon •The cat's dining table
And yes, all Wowaka's songs have a sad feeling. The last of them, "Unknown Mother Goose" makes me cry all the time (it's also because of the context it has though)
Fun fact, all of these songs are quite dark/sad lol- Quite a lot of Vocaloid songs sounds upbeat and energetic, but the lyrics will hit you like a truck, it's amazing how artists can make such a cool happy sounding song that in actuality is pretty depressing! I suggest listening to Lagtrain by Inubakumori, theres so many little tricks in the song that get you going and I'd love to hear your comments on it! Another artist I suggest if you want to hear how realistic the vocaloid can get is Kashii Moimi, and some more: Kanaria, Ayase and HiiragiKirai. Also, although not vocaloid, I suggest listening to Ado's songs Usseewa and/or Gira Gira. Thank you for the video!
I adore this video! If you plan on listening to more Kikuo songs, I would recommend looking up the meaning and giving a trigger warning. Some of them are… well… extremely dark. If you liked Kikuo, I recommend song Gomenne Gomenne, it's got interesting sound and some straight up DISTURBING lyrics >:D

theres actually a forth song called rebirthday. idk if its officially part of it but if i remember correctly it follows the story of the twins being reincarnated
You should listen to more Kikuo songs! And listen to versions with English subs His songs are known to sound happy and have a really really dark meaning behind them. Especially songs like Gomen Ne Gomen Ne I’d also recommend for you to listen on your own to a version of Aishite Aishite/Love Me Love Me with subs! The lyrics are also very interesting
Vflower is my favorite vocaloid, she's got a really unique voice and I would love if you could listen to some songs using her next time, like Lower One's Eyes by Lanndo, Doctorine by 煮ル果実, and FrankenX also by 煮ル果実 (Miku is in that one too), as well as my personal favorite over ✖ dosage by ponkansoup. They're all *amazing* songs and I'd be thrilled to see you react to even one of them! Ty!
If you're all about the dark side of Vocaloid, I recommend any and _everything_ by Maretu. But specifically Mind Brand, Brain Revolution Girl, SIU, and Pink If you want the more pop like stuff, then go to Kira. 4Blood, Monster, Highlight, and Circles are amazing. If you want something in between, Kanaria has what you want. KING, Yoidore Shirazu, and MIRA are my personal favorites. They even did a collab with Maretu for the song Hitori Yurari.
Songs I recommend: Housewife Radio- Ghost and Pals Rotary Dial-Ghost and Pals Appetite of a people-pleaser-Ghost and Pals Happy Days-Ghost and Pals Mind brand-Maretu SIU-Maretu The taste of cockroach-Maretu Brain revolution girl-Maretu Girl eraser-Maretu Uminaoshi-Maretu Failure Girl-Kariki Bear Darling Dance-Kariki Bear Monster-KIRA Machine gun-KIRA Liar dance-DECO*27 Ghost rule-DECO*27
For your next Vocaloid reacts you should listen to all the “Communications” songs. The songs are: Rotary Dial, Black&White, Housewife Radio, Colorbars and Broadcast Illusion, in that order. One of them has a, um… self killing imagery, but it has a warning of it in the video so, yeah, I still hope you watch them.
*I don't actually recommend this bc GHOST is trying to distance themself from Communications so it's best not to draw more attention to the series as a whole
if you really want to hear like a slow downed, down to earth song- the first one that comes to my mind is "Self-Inflicted Achromatic" (I will say to be wary since the lyrics do deal with heavy topics/the video portrays this as well) for a fun suggestion cause I love it to bits a bit TOO much, "Sand Planet" just hits different
I love how he caught on with how sad rolling girl is without even knowing the lyrics. It’s just the tone of the overall song. (Also the song is about suicidal thoughts, just so you know)
hey ! i dunno if you’ve already checked them out but i’d really like to hear your thoughts on the band “destroy boys” :) theyre a punk band , and i really like their songs “american river” “crybaby” and “fences” ! but also i rlly love that you’re checking out more vocaloid , not a lot of western music reviewers do it :0
I adore that about kikuo, he uses such a huge variety of instruments from all over the world, he uses such uncommon instruments (in the context of vocaloid or grungy music) in such *such* good ways
KIKUO!! He might be my favorite Vocaloid producer, so I'm so so happy and excited to see him in the title uwu He's just really experimental, cute but so so creepy If you want another producer that is also experimental and creepy I would recommend Babuchan, the song Happy Child is really nice, and it's base of the myth of Saturn/Cronos devouring his son
Please do some more Ghost songs 😩 i swear they're so underrated. Some other good ones i would recommend are - Lower Ones Eyes or Fixer by Lanndo - Servant of Evil/Daughter of Evil series (or just evillous chronicles series in general) - more wowaka songs - Maretu and more Kikuo songs if you're okay with dark topics
I enjoy how honest you are in delving into vocaloid. I hope you get to enjoy other strange vocaloid videos. Ones I recommend: Hole-Dwelling (Kikuo I believe) Outer Science
I’m happy you are getting into Vocaloid! Make sure to turn on subtitles or find translations if you can because otherwise you miss some of the literal lyrical genius in these songs.
next time you react to vocaloid, i HIIIIGHLY reccomend turning english subtitles on or searching up the lyrics!!! a lot of vocaloid songs sound cheery and cute, but have dark lyrics, so you should check them out not only to make the experience better, but to also put trigger warnings !! as for song suggestions, it'd be cool if you check out some of pinocchio-p 's music!! their songs too have deep lyrics, and they sound really good!!!! some of my favourites are "god-ish", "love it", "magical girl and chocolate" and "kick-ass *literally" ^^
"how does the vocaloid give it a breathy sound??" The voicebanks will have many versions of the same phonetic but in different tones - clear, breathy, etc. - and you can choose Which tones to use on which notes, making the vocaloid sound more human and varied, while adding some emotion to the song. It's honestly Really cool, and something I appreciate having been a vocaloid fan since the early days. UTAU is a program that's basically a free version of vocaloid, and not only can you download a variety of user created voicebanks online, but you can create your own. A few notable UTAU are Teto Kasane - the program's Miku, Momo Momone, and Defoko - the default voice that comes with the program. UTAU is kinda seen as lesser quality sometimes, but some of the voicebanks are Super good and people can get Really creative even with the lesser quality banks. Def check out some UTAU songs or covers to compare.
im just gonna suggest some songs for the next part heh- - the lost one’s weeping by neru ft. kagamine rin - close to you by niki ft vflower - unhappy refrain by wowaka ft hatsune miku - circus monster by circusp ft megurine luka - love is war by ryo ft hatsune miku - mind brand by maretu ft hatsune miku - romeo and cinderella by doriko ft hatsune miku - im glad you’re evil too by pinnochiop ft hatsune miku
Something you might want to know about the software is that IT IS someone's voice behind it. For example, Hatsune Miku is voiced by Saki Fujita. It works by having said actor basically sing out every syllable in every note. Sometimes a voicebank also has several versions, like a more "dynamic" voice or a "soft" voice, languages also differ (Miku also has an English voicebank) They also have a sort of filter? Like, you can change the breathiness of certain Vocaloid and the intensity, all that stuff. PS: React to Giga or Nayutalien pls
I have SO MANY songs i could recommend!! There's Chururia Chururia Daddadda by KurageP ft. Yuzuki Yukari, Faust by Misumi ft. Vflower, Lower One's eyes by Nuyuri ft. Vflower, Neverlander by Anh Duy ft. Miku and Teto (Teto isn't a vocaloid, rather she's a voicebank from UTAU, another vocal synth program), Aura by Ghost which features Solaria who is a voicebank for SynthV, Close To You by Niki and Cillia ft. Vflower, Charles by Balloon ft. Vflower, Así by AkuP ft. Miku, I'm Not A Hero by WyvernP ft. SeeU(a korean vocaloid!), Non-Breath Oblige by PinocchioP ft. Miku, and Imaginary Line by BCNO ft. Vflower There's a lot more i could recommend along with some songs that use both vocaloid and real people, but I'll leave those for another time :)
i thought i never listened to vocaloid songs , but when i heard these songs i realized i’ve listened to MANY vocaloid songs without even realizing it 😭😭😭
PLEASE MORE KIKUO (especially with Hanatan!!!!) I really can recommend his entire discography but especially try Tengoku he ikuo, Breaking things into pieces, Kara Kara Kara no Kara, Nobore! Susume! Takaitou, and It’s Another maze there- but you can pick literally almost any kikuo song and it’s guaranteed to be good
So I watched your Lemon Demon video yesterday (never seen your channel before that) and after listening to Kikuo like an hour ago I found this in my recommended uploaded today lol (I’m going to say the same thing a million comments have said already: listen to more Kikuo! I think he’s the most skilled producer ever)
hey since ive listened to a lot of vocaloid here are some songs you may like! -machine gun poem doll -Mrs pumkins comical dream -Lovers suicide oblivion -melt -okasaan
wowaka is one of my favorite artists! the whole album "rolling girl" is from is so incredible. sadly, he did die in 2019, but people everywhere pay him respects by enjoying his music to this day.
For some cheerful vocaloid songs, i recommend anything from Mitchie M. My personal fave is Ohedo Julia-Night. The Electric but also Traditional feel of the song is really fun. (And also the haiku near the end is so funny lmao)
If you do another listening to Vocaloid, I HEAVILY suggest the Evillious Chronicles. (Daughter of Evil, Servant of Evil, Duke of Venomania, Evil Eater Conchita, Judgement of Corruption). Also, I heavily recommend having English subs to understand the lyrics!
I'm so happy he listened to rolling girl. if he was only going to listen to one song ever, it should be that one. that song carried me for years and is still basically my favorite of all time. Matt, if you're reading this, you should find the English lyrics and give your thoughts on them. it's a beautiful song, and something I've held in my heart for years.
Hi hello, here to give a bit of information. The male Vocaloid in the first song's name is pronounced "Yo-he-oh-loid". He is an English (and also Japanese, but he's known for his English) Vocaloid who's voiced by a Swedish singer named Yohio (Yo-he-oh, like the Vocaloid). He's in several of GHOST's songs, such as the one you listened to here, The Distortionist, and Those Who Carried On. I'd say while he's popular, he's not very widely used nowadays. I really like his voice, and, when used right, he can sound super cool. Thank you for coming to my Yohioloid lesson.
GHOST is my favourite Vocaloid producer, their music is dark but it hits the right way (Like most Vocaloid songs lol). They also have a tendency to make their music sound quite different from all the other Vocaloid songs I’ve listened to, like Entomology and Honey I’m Home.
I really love seeing your reactions, and if youre willing to make another one there's even MORE suggestions; The Cat's Dining Table -Kikuo Honey I'm Home -Ghost The Distortionist -Ghost Tranquilizer -Hatsune Miku (very underrated if u ask me) Girl A -PowaPowaP ft. Hatsune Miku Tokyo Teddybear -Neru Suck It Up -MARETU ft, Hatsune Miku Universe Cat Drowning -Kikuo Casino and Shadow Shadow by Azari (you should actually check out all of his 4 songs because he's very talented and he's only 17 yo) and Egoist -Flower I hope you enjoy them :)
RIP Wowaka :( thank you for looking at one of his songs! Unfortunately we lost him in 2019 to heart failure :( And you're right about Rolling Girl being a sad song, on the VocaWiki page for the song its noted that "The lyrics are very vague, but the general idea is that a girl with far-off dreams and a history of constantly "failing" takes to "rolling", even though her goal is still too far away and she would rather "stop her breathing". Another common interpretation is about the girl being bullied, being shunned or failing constantly, leading the girl to commit suicide", so super sad stuff If you want to check out more of his stuff, I recommend Two-Faced Lovers, World's End Dancehall, Unhappy Refrain (definitely this one!!), and finally, his last vocaloid song, Unknown Mother Goose
I recommend checking out Honeyworks. They have a lot of vocaloid songs, they did some anime openings and even have some movies and animes based on their songs. I recommend checking out Confession Rehearsal as it starts out that series the show is based on. Also please check out the song 새벽의 제국 by 상록수. It uses the vocaloid SeeU and they make it sound super realistic. You forget it's a computer program.
Chattering lack of common sense was a re-re-make of a song ghost made awhile ago. It used to have like a plot and stuff but it doesn’t really fit anymore. It’s still a really fun song though! (Any differences in style and stuff might be because of how old it is though)
Oh my gosh! I had classes rn, but i am so excited to watch this when i’m home! I love both Ghost and Kikuo so much, this seems like it’s gonna be great :D
You should react to the song “Noushou Sakuretsu Girl” it is amazing with the changes between a few different instruments! The main reason I love that song is because of the flute bit lol
Man, rip wowaka. He was my childhood. (Also the reason why rolling girl probably sounds sad is because it’s about a girl with depression giving up. Rolling can be another term for cutting yourself and the ending is widely debated about whether she’s saved by someone and survives, or ends up taking her own life(and that’s why it ends abruptly with the line “I’ll take your breath away”))
You should listen to Kara Kara Kara no Kara (emptiness, emptiness, emptiness of emptiness) by Kikuo, the sounds used in it are unique and fits Kikuos style perfectly though the song is a little long
If you're looking for a really realistic-sounding vocaloid (technically Synth-V), I would recommend Solaria. The songs Aura by Ghost and It Should've Been Me by RIP come to mind.
You posted this during school, but luckily it was the period I have lunch in, so here I am, at lunch, watching the video I've wanted you to post for a while now
Oh my gods, if you loved these vocaloids you should ABSOLUTELY cover some songs that have the voice of solaria!! Ghost even did a song with her called aura that I think you would love! Also more ghost songs, please! And lagtrain by inubakumori. I love the drums on lagtrain so much
If you do react to vocaloids again I would recommend Lag Train by Inabakumori. Also pro tip, put on English sub titles or look them up; the song writers spend lots of time to make the lyrics and they get into a wide variety of topics.
It's so nice to see how this guy reacts to my favorite songs from GHOST. I think that this guy will continue to listen to Ghost, because they have great songs.
I would really like you to watch some of the stuff from 'Ferry', they're a really great vocaloid artist who I feel is really underrated! If I had to choose some of my favourite songs from them, they would be 'Dead Hand', 'False Disposition', and 'Strike 3', but all of their songs are really good.
I would personally recommend a song called A Crow's Trial, by Vane Lilly. It's got a really different sound to the many super active pop tracks and I really like the rhythm and melody riff.
If you want a slower song, Honey Moon Un Deux Trois by DATEKEN is a good one. Idk if it fits ur idea of slow but it’s pretty calming to me. Another good song is “Call Boy” by Syudou, although this one isn’t a slow one. If you want more Kikuo songs I would recommend “Welcome to the Star Inn” and “Red Riding Hood’s Wolf” Also you should turn on English subtitles or search up the English lyrics. Reading the lyrics of a vocaloid song adds to the whole experience.
Wow I didn’t know other people reacted to vocaloid! I thought the only channel that did this was Shooshimooshi, nice to see others explore the genre in a different perspective, Shooshimooshi only looks into the meaning behind the songs, and not much of the musical aspect. Hope to see more of these videos!
My immediate reaction when I heard "Ghost" followed by "The Chattering" (GASP) *Really excited hand movements* That is the song I am currently obsessed with. Also, I can sing it, which just boosts my obsession.
Literally every song by Hitoshizuku x Yama is fire, and tells an interesting story! I especially love their heroes vs villains album, where he shows two sides of a story, but never outright says who’s the hero and who’s the villain. My top picks from that album are “It’s a Dragon Party!” with Hatsune Miku, and “Last Knight Battle” with MEIKO. I can’t recommend them enough!
Even without subtitles or translation, Matthew's reaction to Rolling Girl shows that wowaka's emotion of the song surpasses the language barrier, and can simply be laid down on a few beautiful piano keys. I enjoyed Matthew's reactions, I might call him a genius for all the things he can accurately pinpoint while doing his commentary. It makes the video very enjoyable and relatable. There are some more artists that are quite popular that I like such as DECO*27, Kurousa-P, wowaka, etc. Songs like Senbonzakura, Two Breaths Walking, Romeo and Cinderella and some other classics are what introduced me to vocaloid. So, please look forward to some more classics! 👍
If you listen to vocaloid again I recommend putting on subtitles for the ones that are not in english. Also a fun song to listen to is R.I.P. Gossip Sea!
I need more react content like this in general from music reviewers. It fills me with so much joy watching you discover some of the best of something I’ve been listening to for well over a decade!
Me when I saw that he finally listened to GHOST: He did it!!! He did the thing!!! Edit: "It's like creepy, but make it cute." Yup, that's Kikuo, alright.
I’m so happy that you’re listening to vacaloid songs! I highly recommend Unknown Mother Goose, it’s such a good song that’s not really reacted to often
I really think you should listen to guchiry, they're honestly by far one of my favorite vocaloid producers, although the lyrics can be rather disturbing, their songs are bangers though
I think you should check out Maretu as well, I'd say his two most recent songs "pink" and "new darling" are great but maybe check out some other songs like "umitagari" (you can hear Hatsune Miku breathe in this one actually), "brain revolution girl 2016 ver.", "SIU", "mind brand" and possibly "darling", which is probably linked to his latest release "new darling" that I mentioned before.
Thanks for coming along y'all! Sorry it took so long for me to do another Vocaloid video haha. If you have suggestions for the next one, pop them below!
Can you please listen to tally hall? They make really great songs!
the song "paradichlorobenzene"

some Kikuo songs I recommend:

Agreed
I second the recommendation of The Cat's Dining Table in particular.
Also useless child and any other thing that ruined my sleep as a kid haha

"its creepy but make it cute" welcome to the Vocaloid world.
And yes, all Wowaka's songs have a sad feeling. The last of them, "Unknown Mother Goose" makes me cry all the time (it's also because of the context it has though)
Unknown Mother Goose has been one of my og songs for ages, i love it so much
The cover artists for that song in particular just make it feel that much more hard hitting too.

^
Yeah!
@@mikuhidinginyourwifi5615KITCHEN PRINCESS PFP??
You should listen to more Kikuo songs! And listen to versions with English subs
His songs are known to sound happy and have a really really dark meaning behind them. Especially songs like Gomen Ne Gomen Ne
I’d also recommend for you to listen on your own to a version of Aishite Aishite/Love Me Love Me with subs! The lyrics are also very interesting
Vflower is my favorite vocaloid, she's got a really unique voice and I would love if you could listen to some songs using her next time, like Lower One's Eyes by Lanndo, Doctorine by
煮ル果実, and FrankenX also by
煮ル果実 (Miku is in that one too), as well as my personal favorite over ✖ dosage by
ponkansoup. They're all *amazing* songs and I'd be thrilled to see you react to even one of them! Ty!
Appetite of a People Pleaser is another good song for this since he's been listening to GHOST!
AND ALSO TRAFFIC JAM!!!
and villain!
Abnormality dancing girl?
If you're all about the dark side of Vocaloid, I recommend any and _everything_ by Maretu. But specifically Mind Brand, Brain Revolution Girl, SIU, and Pink
If you want the more pop like stuff, then go to Kira. 4Blood, Monster, Highlight, and Circles are amazing.
If you want something in between, Kanaria has what you want. KING, Yoidore Shirazu, and MIRA are my personal favorites. They even did a collab with Maretu for the song Hitori Yurari.
Personally I think a good Maretu song for him to try is Coin locker Baby
@@theactualrocketonin Agreed!
I love Maretu sm- it’s not for everyone but all of their songs are amazing
Songs I recommend:
Housewife Radio- Ghost and Pals
Rotary Dial-Ghost and Pals
Appetite of a people-pleaser-Ghost and Pals
Happy Days-Ghost and Pals
Mind brand-Maretu
SIU-Maretu
The taste of cockroach-Maretu
Brain revolution girl-Maretu
Girl eraser-Maretu
Uminaoshi-Maretu
Failure Girl-Kariki Bear
Darling Dance-Kariki Bear
Monster-KIRA
Machine gun-KIRA
Liar dance-DECO*27
Ghost rule-DECO*27

I love every single one of these songs-
@ThePipofDespair
Thanks ^^
I LOVE ALL THESE SONGS OMG!
When I tell you I almost bursted into tears when he said “Rolling girl”-
I love this song so much its so sad yet so beautiful
For your next Vocaloid reacts you should listen to all the “Communications” songs.
The songs are: Rotary Dial, Black&White, Housewife Radio, Colorbars and Broadcast Illusion, in that order.
One of them has a, um… self killing imagery, but it has a warning of it in the video so, yeah, I still hope you watch them.
*I don't actually recommend this bc GHOST is trying to distance themself from Communications so it's best not to draw more attention to the series as a whole
@@prinxen1733 oh no, I didn’t know that. Sorry for recommending it
if you really want to hear like a slow downed, down to earth song- the first one that comes to my mind is "Self-Inflicted Achromatic" (I will say to be wary since the lyrics do deal with heavy topics/the video portrays this as well)
for a fun suggestion cause I love it to bits a bit TOO much, "Sand Planet" just hits different
OH I HAVE ANOTHER SUGGESTION SUNG BY FLOWER
You should try listening to some of Hitoshizuku x Yama’s songs. I find them extremely catchy and the songs tell interesting stories
I really hope he reacts to Sunflower of Farewell and Fantasy Pianist.
i really really love Shikiori no hane
“Of all the songs, why does this one feel sad?”
Oh Mathew, you poor innocent soul.
KIKUO!! He might be my favorite Vocaloid producer, so I'm so so happy and excited to see him in the title uwu He's just really experimental, cute but so so creepy
If you want another producer that is also experimental and creepy I would recommend Babuchan, the song Happy Child is really nice, and it's base of the myth of Saturn/Cronos devouring his son
Please do some more Ghost songs 😩 i swear they're so underrated. Some other good ones i would recommend are
- Lower Ones Eyes or Fixer by Lanndo
- Servant of Evil/Daughter of Evil series (or just evillous chronicles series in general)
- more wowaka songs
- Maretu and more Kikuo songs if you're okay with dark topics
I enjoy how honest you are in delving into vocaloid. I hope you get to enjoy other strange vocaloid videos.
Ones I recommend:
Hole-Dwelling (Kikuo I believe)
Outer Science
Yesss Kagepro. Outer Science is so intense gosh.
“Because the vocals sound like… they’re getting drowned out”
well oh well guess what’s happening in the lyrics!!
I’m happy you are getting into Vocaloid! Make sure to turn on subtitles or find translations if you can because otherwise you miss some of the literal lyrical genius in these songs.
"why does this feel sad" boy do i have some news for you
next time you react to vocaloid, i HIIIIGHLY reccomend turning english subtitles on or searching up the lyrics!!! a lot of vocaloid songs sound cheery and cute, but have dark lyrics, so you should check them out not only to make the experience better, but to also put trigger warnings !!
as for song suggestions, it'd be cool if you check out some of pinocchio-p 's music!! their songs too have deep lyrics, and they sound really good!!!! some of my favourites are "god-ish", "love it", "magical girl and chocolate" and "kick-ass *literally" ^^
Def check out some UTAU songs or covers to compare.
im just gonna suggest some songs for the next part heh-
- the lost one’s weeping by neru ft. kagamine rin
- close to you by niki ft vflower
- unhappy refrain by wowaka ft hatsune miku
- circus monster by circusp ft megurine luka
- love is war by ryo ft hatsune miku
- mind brand by maretu ft hatsune miku
- romeo and cinderella by doriko ft hatsune miku
- im glad you’re evil too by pinnochiop ft hatsune miku
Something you might want to know about the software is that IT IS someone's voice behind it.
For example, Hatsune Miku is voiced by Saki Fujita.
It works by having said actor basically sing out every syllable in every note.
Sometimes a voicebank also has several versions, like a more "dynamic" voice or a "soft" voice, languages also differ (Miku also has an English voicebank)
They also have a sort of filter?
Vflower
There's a lot more i could recommend along with some songs that use both vocaloid and real people, but I'll leave those for another time :)
i thought i never listened to vocaloid songs , but when i heard these songs i realized i’ve listened to MANY vocaloid songs without even realizing it 😭😭😭
Please react to hole dwelling, it's my favorite kikuo song
heheh
PLEASE MORE KIKUO (especially with Hanatan!!!!) I really can recommend his entire discography but especially try Tengoku he ikuo, Breaking things into pieces, Kara Kara Kara no Kara, Nobore! Susume! Takaitou, and It’s Another maze there- but you can pick literally almost any kikuo song and it’s guaranteed to be good
So I watched your Lemon Demon video yesterday (never seen your channel before that) and after listening to Kikuo like an hour ago I found this in my recommended uploaded today lol
(I’m going to say the same thing a million comments have said already: listen to more Kikuo! I think he’s the most skilled producer ever)
hey since ive listened to a lot of vocaloid here are some songs you may like!
-machine gun poem doll
-Mrs pumkins comical dream
-Lovers suicide oblivion
-melt
-okasaan
wowaka is one of my favorite artists! the whole album "rolling girl" is from is so incredible. sadly, he did die in 2019, but people everywhere pay him respects by enjoying his music to this day.
I really love seeing your reactions, and if youre willing to make another one there's even MORE suggestions;
The Cat's Dining Table -Kikuo
Honey I'm Home -Ghost
The Distortionist -Ghost
Tranquilizer -Hatsune Miku (very underrated if u ask me)
Girl A -PowaPowaP ft. Hatsune Miku
Tokyo Teddybear -Neru
Suck It Up -MARETU ft, Hatsune Miku
Universe Cat Drowning -Kikuo
Casino and Shadow Shadow by Azari (you should actually check out all of his 4 songs because he's very talented and he's only 17 yo)
and Egoist -Flower
I hope you enjoy them :)
RIP Wowaka :( thank you for looking at one of his songs! Unfortunately we lost him in 2019 to heart failure :(
And you're right about Rolling Girl being a sad song, on the VocaWiki page for the song its noted that "The lyrics are very vague, but the general idea is that a girl with far-off dreams and a history of constantly "failing" takes to "rolling", even though her goal is still too far away and she would rather "stop her breathing". Another common interpretation is about the girl being bullied, being shunned or failing constantly, leading the girl to commit suicide", so super sad stuff
If you want to check out more of his stuff, I recommend Two-Faced Lovers, World's End Dancehall, Unhappy Refrain (definitely this one!!), and finally, his last vocaloid song, Unknown Mother Goose
Vocaloid is such a cool genre, im so hyped
I still cry every time I hear anything by wowaka, "unclosed human" broke me, it's written like it's hatsune miku to wowaka himself
Kikuo has another great song called O light that I highly recommend!
Also, it's a very dark song, but I also highly recommend mind brand by materu
You should listen to Kara Kara Kara no Kara (emptiness, emptiness, emptiness of emptiness) by Kikuo, the sounds used in it are unique and fits Kikuos style perfectly though the song is a little long
If you're looking for a really realistic-sounding vocaloid (technically Synth-V), I would recommend Solaria. The songs Aura by Ghost and It Should've Been Me by RIP come to mind.
I WAITED FOR THIS FOR SO LOOOONG AAAAA! you should definitely listen to more wowaka! i recommend unknown mother goose and two-faced lovers!
Three of my favorite vocaloid songs are actually in this video
I highly recommend listening to the Vocaloid song ''Electric Angel'' ^-^ it's honestly a bop and i really really love it
You posted this during school, but luckily it was the period I have lunch in, so here I am, at lunch, watching the video I've wanted you to post for a while now
HECK YES YOU’RE LISTENING TO VOCALOID
Oh my gods, if you loved these vocaloids you should ABSOLUTELY cover some songs that have the voice of solaria!! Ghost even did a song with her called aura that I think you would love!
Also more ghost songs, please! And lagtrain by inubakumori. I love the drums on lagtrain so much
i can’t suggest “Aura” by GHOST enough, it’s super unique and the instrumental is genuinely so so cool ✨
You should listen to ‘ i’ll forgive you even if you die’ by Kikuo, it’s an amazing song!
Those three songs are so good, my personal favorites are probably ‘Punch it, Punk’ ‘Message lost’ and ‘Comfort Zone’
If you want more Kikuo songs I would recommend “Welcome to the Star Inn” and “Red Riding Hood’s Wolf”
Also you should turn on English subtitles or search up the English lyrics.
My immediate reaction when I heard "Ghost" followed by "The Chattering"
(GASP) *Really excited hand movements*
That is the song I am currently obsessed with. Also, I can sing it, which just boosts my obsession.
Me too-
Yesssss my obsession with CLoCS is all-consuming
Literally every song by Hitoshizuku x Yama is fire, and tells an interesting story! I especially love their heroes vs villains album, where he shows two sides of a story, but never outright says who’s the hero and who’s the villain.
My top picks from that album are “It’s a Dragon Party!” with Hatsune Miku, and “Last Knight Battle” with MEIKO. I can’t recommend them enough!
It would be cool if you could react to Reversible Campaign, Tokyo Teddy Bear and Alice Human Sacrifice.
These are some of my favorite vocaloid songs!
BC ROLLING GIRL IS A SAD SONG
It is the moment i heared the iconic opening i already became incredibly sad…
MATTHEW PLEASE WATCH MORE KIKUO., HOLE DWELLING, LETS GO TO HEAVEN, BREAKING THINGS INTO PIECES AND CORPSE DANCE IS SO GOOD
If you listen to vocaloid again I recommend putting on subtitles for the ones that are not in english. Also a fun song to listen to is R.I.P. Gossip Sea!
I need more react content like this in general from music reviewers. It fills me with so much joy watching you discover some of the best of something I’ve been listening to for well over a decade!
"why does this sound sad?" you... should look up the translation X')
It gets even sadder when you realize that the creator is no longer with us :'(
@@noname9482 Yup... I miss Wowaka
If you haven't already, I recommend listening to Desert theater by kikuohana or O light by the same person. Super good songs with amazing vocals :))
GHOST my absolute beloved
You should make a video listening to UTAUs too... there are many pretty awesome UTAU voicebanks and songs out there
FINALLYYY THE DAY HAS COMEEE
HELL YEAHH
I really think you should listen to guchiry, they're honestly by far one of my favorite vocaloid producers, although the lyrics can be rather disturbing, their songs are bangers though
I saw aishite in the thumbnail and I materialized over lmao 😂❤️
Also “rolling girl sounds sad” that’s because it’s about miku killing herself :)
If he turned the subtitles on for Aishite and Rolling Girl- he would be in tears
You should listen to Mind Brand and SIU by Maretu!!
I think you should check out Maretu as well, I'd say his two most recent songs "pink" and "new darling" are great but maybe check out some other songs like "umitagari" (you can hear Hatsune Miku breathe in this one actually), "brain revolution girl 2016 ver.", "SIU", "mind brand" and possibly "darling", which is probably linked to his latest release "new darling" that I mentioned before.
i would love to see him react to Eve.
Yas
Me too
If you listen to any other songs from Kikuo, you should listen to Hole-Dwelling :) It’s a bit longer but it’s been one of my favorites for a long time
