“People go from complete indifference to complete neediness.” So true. Your partner neglects you for years. When you say you want to separate, they alternate between neediness, threats, pleas, guilt trips, and everything in between. 😅
I had the exact same arrogance as Johnson. Taking your loved one for granted thinking they’ll always be by your side because you’re special. Hurts when you put yourself in the perspective of your ex’s shoes.
I cam relate. It's heart breaking to another level when you realize what you've put her through. Atleast it did for me. Happy with the small changes I've done. Huge success out of it already.
This is the best channel for everyone willing to restore his marriage. I have learned a lot from the videos and masterclass, hoping one day I will afford the one-on-one coaching. So far things are working well Thanks Gef
I have found myself in about the same situation as Bronson. About 2 months ago my wife of 12 years one Sunday says I need a break I want a divorce. Totally blindsided me she moved out and I was like in a tail spin like WTF is going on. We have had no personal contact since and just a few text messages. I came across your videos and it truly made me go back in time and think about different situations that came up. This really has been an eye opening time and a good time for me to learn and work on myself mentally and emotionally to become a better partner for her or someone else.

Hi. You briefly mentioned in this video about midlife crisis. Do you have any videos on that or know about people who could overcome their wife's midlife crisis and how? If you don't can you please make a video or wo on this very important topic please?
Hello Geoffrey Setiawan, I was wondering if you will do or have done any videos on relationships like getting an ex back, how to handle a break up, how to handle an ex blocking you (fully or partially), what to do if an ex moved on to someone else (rebound or no rebound), and etc?
Hi, I saw your older video about being bulletproof and controlling emotions. The part on reflexive interpretations causing emotions stood out to me and I think I do that. I react really bad and get emotional and hurt. Where do I find more on that specific topic exactly. How not react emotionally when someone is doing something extremely hurtful to me then saying I'm the crazy one when I'm only reacting to how bad they are treating me?
First and foremost, it’s not about just containing your emotions. It’s about being able to change your interpretations of those events so that the emotions that form are completely different. When a person does something to you which you perceive as hurtful, you really have to dig deep and ask yourself why they did that. And you have to keep asking yourself that until you figure it out; don’t just blame it on their character, don’t just say “oh they did that because they’re a bad person”. Actually try to understand the circumstances, the environment which made them do the things they did.

Hey Geoffrey, i love your videos and i have a question... My girlfiend broke up with me and blocked me but our relationship was great... My question is: Will she contact me after some time?
i'm curious what would hurting your partner in a massively terrible way entail I feel some people after hearing that may interpret their scenarios as where they have massively hurt their partners even if that isnt the case because I think subconsciously we always look for the easy way out . Which in this case would be to give up rather than improve oneself
@@ted2136 no that is not what I meant what I am trying to say is people think they have hurt their partner beyond the point of reconciliation while in reality 99% of the times that is not the case . They have hurt their partner yes but not past the point of reconciliation
You can't really make other people happy if you don't make yourself happy first. With bipolar, it doesn't matter you can create a safety environment or not. When they in their episode. All they want just leave where they are and where you are. That's just what happens.
She was stonewalling me for almost 2 weeks, so in between those moments. I got mad at her and said things and yet still she was unresponsive. Then I decided to talk to her in person. We already explained things from both sides calmly. I asked where do we go from here? She responded, we can be friends. After the love of my life and I talked that night she texted me early morning these messages . “ She thought she’ll feel better but she actually feel worse she said. She was feeling down that morning and she said sorry to me for what she had done and felt sorry for being so emotionally unstable and doesn’t know to handle it sometimes “ She also said that “ But for now, I think what we are doing is for the best “ I didn’t know whether I have to reply or not. I just don’t know what to say.

Did Bronson ever fully recover his relationship?
I know this video is a year old but I love it when YT brings up a video of Geoffrey's that I haven't seen :)

That's how tethered they are without realizing it

Good point - I have seen one or two really bad ones in my days, but most cases aren't unique! :)
Lots of people do this - they play the victim. Topic for next week's video, so stay tuned!
