I bought Nitrodeck just before Christmas and loved it. But then Mobapad M6 HD released, and now Nitrodeck seems like every other 3rd party controller that falls short. Everything feels second rate compared to the M6 HD. Absolutely nothing compares. The HD rumble, mechanical buttons and best d-pad Ive used in my life is simply unrivaled.
How's the ergonomics? I have both the Nyxi Hyperion pro (which my hands cramp because the controller is too big) and the Nitrodeck (which feels too cramped because too small). Is the M6 in the middle?
For anyone waiting for the black version of the HD, I did asked their official page on Facebook and they said that it is expected to be on sales in 2-3 months🎉
Btw the tight fit is a GOOD thing. It ensures its not a wobbly lose fit once connected. And I know youve been going on about bumper travel but I havent had ANY issue with the bumpers in the slightest. So of those 2 negatives, 1 is a positive and the other is just not applicable, at least for me.
You're 100% right! I mention that in next week's video where I answer everyone's questions about the MOBAPAD M6 HD :) yeah, the tight fit is a positive for sure and I'm glad you've got no travel on the bumpers. In use, I don't have any issue with them whatsoever, just thought I'd mention as an observation!

Just ordered the mobapad m6 hd after watching your videos on it. My switch oled have been played primarily docked by my kids during the holidays. Feels super under utilized especially with the oled screen. Been thinking of getting steam deck oled but then that’s another large sum of money so thought why not try using the switch oled in handheld mode and try playing some games with it. Hopefully the mobapad will make the handheld gaming experience much more pleasant. Thanks

The Nitro Deck does not do macro in any way. What it does is actually called a programable combo button. Thanks for such informative videos and comparisons. It has made my search much more informed.
You're completely right there! Do you know what an actual use case of a combo button would be? I can't see why someone would want every input being actuated at the same time. You're very welcome too, glad you enjoy the videos!
@@128KB A + B for having smash attacks on one button in Smash would be one example. It's not too uncommon for pressing two buttons at once to alter what normally happens with just one of them. The Steam Deck calls these "extra commands" in its controller settings.

Right there with you. Was shopping for 3rd party joycons for about 2 weeks before finding his channel. I have to say I was getting kind of depressed looking since the selection was pretty slim on hall effect 2pc joycons. That did not look like cheap knockoffs.
You know what, after using the Nitro Deck since launch, I realized that there's a feature that I can't live without now and you pointed it out too. It's the ability to map out buttons on either side on any of the back buttons. I now alwas have the A mapped to the right and B mapped to the left and I can't play well without them.😅
You can actually do that with the Mobapads as well. In order to do it you need to use the app but it can be done (map B to the left joy-con for example).

I have the nitro deck, and I enjoy playing my switch on it. The Nitro Deck is the main reason why i play it on handheld more. I've just heard about these joypads, and I may get myself a pair. Aliexpress sells them with a carrying bag included. So I may get them.
Mobapad m6hd or m6s is amazing. There's something off with how cheap the nitro deck feels and the right stick placement. I can't wait for more color ways.
I have been using the Mobapad M6 HD for a week now. And I really love them. I’m playing my switch much more now. The grip en functions are the best in the market now. I was a Satisfye Zengrip pro and Ronin user. But I really prefer the Mobapads now. Another great thing about the mobapads is the Switch is still a Switch. You can use all the features of the Switch just like the real joy-cons, but 10 times better.
Love your vids! I'm sure I can speak for a lot of people that we rely on videos such as this one to help us make a good decision when it comes to what we spend our money on regarding gameing tech. Keep up the great work!
I just ordered my Mobapad! Can't wait for it to get here. I play a lot of shooters and RPGs on my OLED Switch and play pretty much only in handheld so this just seems like a no brainer upgrade.

The M6 HDs look great. How well do they work in motion games, such as Switch Sports Resort? Is the motion tracking good compared to the original joy cons?
Motion controls are surprisingly really good, I always find the official to be the best of the best but out of everything else I've tried I'd say these are the best 3rd party ones

Would you consider doing a video comparing the mobapad to the nexigo gripcon? The Nitro Deck stick placement is just too awful for me to ever consider.
I brought the nitrodeck in December and enjoyed it greatly, agreed the right stick is not my favorite. My biggest complaint about the deck is the super bright home button that only blinded me 23 times😂
Have you updated the NitroDeck firmware? They released a firmware update in December, I did a video about it, it reduces the default brightness of the button too!
See that would have been to know at the beginning of this month. I ended up returning it and picked up a pair of those M6s and love them only wish they came in other colors like black or something else.
I have both.......and I do prefer the Mobapad 6 HD. I just wish it came with a case. The Nitro feels decent but the horrible rumble and right thumbstick really makes this feel just ok to use. I have White Nitro Deck and it looks so good when you pair it with OG Switch , but for an OLED I’d definitely go with mobapad . But then again you’re not buying them because of how they look but how they perform and level of comfort, so it’s subjective. And I’ve used Nitro Deck for a while now and you do get used to it .
When you were talking rumble I died everytime you were like “ZZZT!” Besides finding it humorous, you’re right on the money when it comes to describing cheap rumble.
They don't come with one but they do work with others, including ones with a USB-C charge like the NYXI centre piece. I show this off and answer this question in my "your questions answered" video releasing next Friday!
I wish the HD had actual color choices. The all-white look is just not my style To the point I might actually get the non-HD just for the colors even though I can afford the HD
AliExpress is a little bit of a minefield, best I can say is to look for a seller with the most positive feedback to price ratio since the prices there seem to vary too. Good luck!

Squeaking is usually a rubbing issue of the plastic of the trigger squeaking against the plastic of the body, try gently loosening the screws under the faceplate just a little to see if that frees it up enough to stop the squeaking!
Yeah I really enjoy the product, build quality and everything was really good but the ergonomics... I hope they make a V2 with a more comfortable shape in the future, or hold out for a Switch 2 version
Forgot to mention the cheap build of the Nitrodeck. From the look and finish of it, to the ugly rumble motors. Dunno if the improvemed it on the Plus, but I would never recommend the OG Nitrodeck to anyone.

Nitrodeck refused to work for my OLED switch so I got the Mobapad. No regrets at all!

You have to add nitro deck Perk is playing while plugged in 🔥, you can sit the game on your stomach while playing and charging, it’s 🔥🔥🔥!

I like the idea of the nitro deck, but for me, it has to be dockable. Even if you don't have the extra back buttons, make it dockable.

Yes, that's what I'm using here. All joycons work with either original or OLED switch.

If youre a gamer you wont like the nitrodeck. Travel on the joysticks is too much. Returned it after a week of trying to like it.

I have the m6 hd and my triggers are squeaky... They're clicky but at the same time squeaky as well like a door... Does anyone else's triggers squeak?

The Nitro deck was incredibly uncomfortable for me. It's heavy and the placement of the right stick is just bad.
