yep, with magnus confirming he won't be playing in the candidates cycle, Abasov will get that spon unless they pull the MVL chicanery, whereby one rule or another seems to have the practical reality of ensuring that MVL gets fucked and properly so -- remember he beat Ding and Nepo in the last candidates@@anilbista7445
without magnus in the mix, anyone in the current top 10 could win a match and be a solid champion. Magnus has been the highest rated player on earth since he was 19, when he overtook Vishy as #1 in July 2010. In 13 years no one has really come close. He is a generational talent. Take him out of the equation and you could see Fabi, Nepo, MVL, Ian, Anish, etc, etc, all having as equal an opportunity to win the championship from Ding. The reason WCCs are so difficult for him to play is that if he doesn't want to lose, he will push himself to the point of near physical collapse trying to 'squeeze water from stone'.
Ironic that Prag knocked Hikaru out of a chance at the candidates when, in the last candidate cycle, Naka forced a draw in 15 or so moves against Nepo and ended up not having a chance to play for the title--because he is not a fucking shark. Had he actually went for it and showed some championship spirit, he might have more of a legacy than being liked by all the new comers into chess after 2020 and the pandemic for how bigly he beats kids on chesscom. I just think it's funny, to talk about Levy and Andrea and say "they will never accomplish anything in chess." says someone who, has the honor of winning bullet tournaments on the internet. wow much chess, such calculate

2 - what about vladimir fedoseev or peter svidler in the 2019 classical WFRCC?
3 - what about garry kasparov in the 2021 or 2022 St Louis 9LX where Garry almost got 1st place in 2021 ?
but yeah i'm glad about what happened to aryan in the 2023 norway chess since aryan helped magnus cheat danya and since aryan said 'cheater hans' or something. lol.
4 - Why does Nijat get in the candidates re magnus while zhongyi doesn't get in the women's candidates re aleksandra? What's your opinion? Is this fair?

@@nicbentulan idk who tf is Matthias. Vladimir Fedoseev and Svidler definitely dont belong. Garry is there for fun because of his legacy in the past. Nijat shouldnt be allowed in the candidates, as he is a known cheater like Magnus and is too weak. Lastly, no one cares about low elo chess so i have no opinion on 2500+ women players.

Technically the players did not agree to a draw at the end, as the insufficient material K+B vs K automatically ends the game as a draw…
