That's what it should be! It should be a bit of Buck Rogers, some Lost in Space, Adam Strange, and then have Epcot be a bit more of a late 70's/early 80's type of optimistic and quasi utopian and solarpunk vision of life on Earth.
I said the same thing in Bricky’s other video. The best move for Tommorland is to turn the clock back to 1967 that was fully Walt’s vision of the future, mainly for Epcot.😊
Walt Disney is SO much bigger than someone’s grandfather. He’s an icon, a legend, an innovator, and the sole reason why Disneyland exists. His family should embrace the fact that the massive company he created - which is more about selling Mickey ears and popcorn buckets tied to an IP nowadays, rather than just creating a family-fun experience - is creating an attraction that is 100% a tribute to Walt. I understand how it might be creepy to them and also how Walt never wanted this - of course he didn’t want it! He was humble and never ever made it about himself. But… this is 70 years after the park opened and 60 years after he died. This is an amazing tribute and I give the company massive credit. I can’t wait.
Older generation grew up with his voice, his love, his wonderment. Younger generation only knows Disney as a place, or a streaming service... Walt loved our history and honored his heroes. Now we get to celebrate him. American icon. 🫡
@@davidculver5446 . Is this confirmed? If yes, would love to hear why.. Are they against the partnership statue? The new Epcot statue? The Walt Disney museum in San Francisco? if my father/grandfather was revered to this level, I would be grateful the recognition.. Also, most times families can’t agree on where to eat, so I wouldn’t doubt if there are differing opinions.
@@davidculver5446So why was it the Disney Family Museum was at D23? Including one of Walt’s cars they loaned to the archives? Or that the famous bench Walt sat in at Griffith Park was also loaned to Disneyland? There are many artifacts that are often alone to Disneyland and Magic Kingdom from the museum. How do you explain that?
I admire Walt and revere his memory. I cry every time I look at his apartment when we come out west. But I just don’t know without the entire families ok about putting an animatronic of him there. That’s their grandpa I know I would want or expect a say in it. They better be so respectful of how he looks and what he says.
All I can say is I was born in 1957, so I grew up watching Walt on TV and going to Disneyland knowing who he was. I hope now others who are much younger will know who he was as well.
If there is an objection to having real persons being depicted in animatronic form, then Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln and the Hall of Presidents shouldn’t exist either. I for one, am very excited about this. We need more Walt in his park. But the Imagineers have to do it right otherwise the fans will tear it apart.
@@lindamemo5224 That maybe so for recent Presidents, but I doubt Lincoln or the other older Presidents gave their approval. And a quick google search did not state if they did or did not gain approval from the families. And just asking because I’m curious, does the President’s likeness become part of the public domain a certain numbers of years after death? We all know how Walt was a fan of the public domain. :-) I wonder what Walt’s opinion of it would be after seeing the latest versions of the animatronics and just how far they have come in the technology. Who’s know, in another 20 years will we see an animatronic of Walt walking around Disneyland greeting guests?
I think they must have something up their sleeve because they wouldn't do an animatronic for Walt if it wasn't super impressive. It's probably going to seem so real we can't believe it.
And that is why you should be concerned. Walt died, Roy died, countless cast members, producers of Disney art and films. This will not bring Walt back. If people care about Walt and his plans...go to his museum in San Francisco at the Presidio. You can also visit on line.
I do not know what his wishes were or if anyone ever knew. I will say that he did not seem to mind presenting the presidents in this way, so I would think he might not have considered it to be distasteful if done with his own words.
Great Moments with Mr. Brickey. LOL Love it!! I get excited just knowing the lamp is on in Walt's apartment!! Makes me feel like he is there in spirit. I really hope we can see and hear Walt tell us a story. A dream come true. I wasn't born when he passed, but saw him on television introducing movies on sunday evenings, too young to understand that he wasn't alive anymore. I have always been fascinated by Walt Disney and would really like to see this happen. No doubt there will be tears of magic from my eyes.
It's actually honorable to be bringing Walt back and I 100% think he would be all for it as you said he brought in Lincoln ... the creators making this have a HUGE task to make it the best... I'm excited to see this happen and i think it's wonderful they brought it to Disneyland, the only land Walt actually went to 💖🏰
I’m with you Brickey - I CANNOT wait to see this! My first thoughts when I heard others are against this were that if he thought an animatronic of Lincoln was respectful then I definitely believe he’d be impressed and flattered to have one made honoring himself all these years later as well. The tears will be flowing for sure when we get to see this! 😍
Have heard so many of his interviews and speeches, I feel like he would love being able to continue his vision of bringing inspiration and hope to young and old. The context and execution will be key to how this is received. Always optimistic they can deliver as they’ll know this is big
As a kid growing up in the late 80s early 90s I was fascinated by the man. I loved watching his films on the introduction of things to come. Knowing the films were old I still had this feeling of being right there in the room with him and it was magical. That’s what I love about the parks and the man who brought it all together. Meeting him was something I’ve always dreamed of and I believe this is the closest thing to living that dream. I always felt he should be honored in some way shape or form. I’m excited to see this come to fruition. I still think his predecessors have a lot to learn from him and I hope maybe this will inspire a change for the better in the company as a whole for all who see this.
I hope you’re right, Brickey. My first thought was that it was morbid, but your point that Walt brought Lincoln to life is a strong endorsement for the concept. After admiring and learning about this man my whole life, I, too, will have an emotional response to it, I’m sure ❤
Walt was the animatronic pioneer! He so loved the concept that he paid homage to Lincoln with one! He recognized it was needed and he would absolutely adore the idea that he could stand on a stage and continue to share magic with folks of all ages today and into tomorrow. IMO
We need Walt back ! I believe society and Disney executives have lost his original vision and expectations of how he wanted the park to run . As a citizen of Disney I go to escape all the bad in the world. When I walk into town square I get a feeling of goodness and holsum life style. That is what I consider the vibe. We need to get back to that! Hopefully Walt's presents back in the park just might be the smack in the back of our heads we need.
No surprise that this is your first vid in the Horizons series! I’m super excited for this attraction and can’t wait to hear Walt’s vision in his own voice. It will be sort of like meeting him. I’m also interested to hear the narrative of this attraction and what Walt will actually speak about. Maybe he will talk about his vision for what we are experiencing today? That would be cool if they could pair his ideas with today’s reality.
Can you please put the phrase “life isn’t always churros and dole whip when you aren’t in a Disney Park” on your next BLOUSE series?!? Love that phrase! Also keep up the hard work, love your videos.
You had me at Great Moments with Mr. Brickey. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 😂 Honestly, I love this idea of a Walt show. So long as they can accurately recreate his look and voice, which I have no doubt that they can and will. And I really do hope they will do daily rotations of Walt & Lincoln. I considered their statement about the two shows eventually being on “rotation” could also mean they rotate them seasonally.
I spoke to an Imagineer at D23 who told me that they were waiting for the technology to do this right as it has been on their wish list for a long time. I'm really excited for this!
Just like you Brickey, this was the highlight of D23 for me. Understandably I can see some family members/close friends not agreeing to this. But to a true diehard fan of the man the legend himself and the historical work he’s done because of his determination and imagination, I feel as though we need this. I always would imagine how it would’ve been to have met Mr. Disney in real life and this would probably be the closest way to be able to experience him. (even thank him as crazy as it sounds lol) They better have a lot of tissues to give out because there’s going to be a lot of crying! 😂 I hope the Disney company spares no expense in animatronic technology as he deserves to be displayed using the best.
It's the right call for Disneyland only! I wouldn't want to see many WD around the world! I can also see why some of Walt's relatives are having their doubts ! but at the end of the day its a celebration of Walt Disney's Life and accomplishments that have brought so much Joy to many people around the world and as Years pass by its great that the new Gens will acquire some knowledge of the man himself!
I thought it was going to be creepy at first. Then I realized it probably no more creepy than Lincoln. They will probably make it a good show. I just hope they hold to Walt’s standard of build it better, and that doesn’t mean just his animatronic. The company seems to be building with the motto of “ that’s good enough “ . Having Walt in the park is probably a good thing. I saw an impersonator in a suit on Dapper Day and I thought it was awesome. They were pretty forward thinking. When building Lincoln, do you think one of the imagineers made a comment to Walt like “ how long before we build one of you ? “
Brickey! I think Walt would (and is!) getting a kick out of watching Disneyland and Disney World change and grow. I think he would get a kick out of seeing a well done animatronic of himself! 💗
I think Disney is going all out creating the audioanimatronic of Walt. Surprising guests during the show of Walt walking across the stage sometime during the show.
I’m super excited and terrified at the same time. I love the idea, I just hope it’s done respectfully and honors Walt in the right way. If they can pull that off, it’s going to be amazing. I just want it to be right. That’s the part that worries me the most.
This is a great episode, Brickey! From what I read based on an interview with Diane Disney Miller in the “E” Ticket Magazine (Fall 2004) is that she wanted Walt to be humanized. I don’t think Walt signed over the rights of his likeliness (maybe he did?). However, does this mean will we see more of Walt’s face in the Disney products? The Walt Disney Family Museum in San Francisco has Walt’s face in the logos on their products. It’s a complexed thing. Regardless, I’m excited for it! Thank you for looking at this, Brickey! I appreciate it! Catching vibes at Disneyland!! :)
Just ask yourself...why did some family members sell their holdings in stock. Why did they secure all things Disney and secure it in San Francisco? To protect who and what he was.
As someone who grew up watching Walt on T.V. I was so excited that my grandchildren will know who he is ❣️ First trip was 1977 at WDW I was 11 and been back several times there. This would make me want to see DL. Sorry but this should never be filmed . They should make you have to see it in person like the old days.
Hey Brickey! Great video. If Boston dynamics can create robot dogs/people and such that can jump, summersault, and open doors.... And people were freaked out by Lincoln standing up.... ... I want to see Walt stand up from his leaning position and see him WALK across the stage! 😎 He can recharge himself everytime he rests his bottom on the desk again. 😉
People are going to weep. Some will have to leave halfway through. Cannot wait to see (and hear) how this all turns out - if they keep it as a respectful chance to hear about what his hopes were for the place that we all now enjoy and love? It's going to be the best victory lap moment of all-time.
The 1st time i attended DL at around age 4 or 5, i vividly recall screaming bc i knew he (Lincoln) was dead, and i thought they brought him back to life. That memory is still there!! 😮
Overall I am so looking forward to this! To me it’s the next step after having both The Walt Disney Story at Disneyland years ago and One Man’s Dreams at Magic Kingdom. And Bricky gave very good reasons for this (as did Tom Corless of WDWNT) in that for many visitors that go to Disneyland they don’t often really know who Walt was at all, or even understand that “Disney” in the name “Disneyland” was the name of an actual person. Also, Walt has been gone for 58 of Disneyland’s 69 years, and was part of the company for 43 of its 101 years. ..So I think it’s time for this!

Diane Disney Miller was against doing an AA of her father, and she fought against this idea for years. Diane's daughter, Joanna, has already posted her reaction to the D23 announcement. (On FB) : 'Stop the madness...don't let them turn Grampa into a robot!" An obvious concern is using Walt's image for PR purposes, implying Walt's approval. It must be noted that when D'Amaro announced this at D23, he said they had the Disney family with them every step of the way. That's not true. They got a great-nephew from Roy's side of the family to go along with it. They did not have an OK from Walt's side of the family. They already knew they would never get that. Bottom line: backstabbing Walt's family is not a good look for Iger and Company.
Thank you. If you want to know about Walt visit the museum in San Francisco at the Presidio. You can also visit online. Walt and Roy who were not elected officials died. That memory should be left to the family, if you do not respect their requests you are in a bad space.
I'm going to say the family is not taking the time to think this through before making a judgement on whether or not this a good idea. Ultimately it's their decision, but if they really would look deeply inside then they should really see how this can be done to properly represent and present Walt Disney to a new audience.
Were Eisenhower or Harry Truman's families consulted? Their widows and children were around when the Hall of Presidents opened. What's the ethical difference if someone was an elected official or not? Could a president even opt out of the Hall of Presidents if they wanted to? So long as they do it right and don't put words in his mouth that would be out of character (I remember Stan lee being used like a puppet in his last years) I don't see a contradiction. Walt frankly admitted his "Uncle Walt" TV persona was a character, an outgoing host who didn't drink or smoke and aways dressed neatly. In reality, Walt drank, smoked, and had issues with shyness. There are pictures of him from the production of Mary Poppins where he looks downright ragged, gray hairs straight up, worn out sweater... they're absolutely not going to have Walt look like that. They're going to do his TV persona.
I can't wait to see this become reality! After speaking to some of the imagineers at D23, this has the possibility of being truly life like! On a personal note, thanks for working so hard at bring us your Disney design views! See you when you get back to DLR. 🙂
I appreciate that you're bringing this to everyone's attention. I know Disney does a good job with anything they do, however I personally am not fond of the idea of having Walt as a robot. It won't be close to the real life Walt, however it would be an idea of Walt. Great video dude, I really appreciate all the cool information and history of the parks
@@davidculver5446 Not quite. I recognize that Walt was both an artist and a visionary; having both one foot in the past as well as one in the future. He made Main Street and Frontierland but also Epcot and Tomorrowland. He was a creative and a pioneer. Would you tell Walt that he didn't actually care about Lincoln for wanting to do the exact same thing?
06:30 I hadn't even thought about that! I guess the last time Disney made live-action human (non-animated characters) animatronics was for Finn and General Hux on Rise of the Resistance. Although they also did an animatronic of Biden for Hall of Presidents around 2021.
Hey Brickey I am a long time Walt Disney fan but have never met Walt Disney in person and this seems to be very interesting and exciting 😂news about the one man that started it all with a mouse and dream so yes I'm very excited and though some people may feel weirded out by this I'm not I more excited for when it comes and and what he has in his speeches about what was going on inside his head about Disneyland and all the excitement he may have had at the time and will share that information with all of us here in the present how exciting to be a Disney fan all at the same time😂
This was a well-done presentation, Brickey. When I read the title about bringing Walt back to life, I was puzzled--Walt was cremated. "He did it to Lincoln!" And the current Lincoln audio-animatronic is much improved from the 1964 edition that debuted at the New York World's Fair. The Carousel of Progress show building is currently underused--unless it's being treated as an expanded Club 33. Rumor has it that someone suggested closing Disneyland to the public and refurbishing it as an exclusive club for the wealthy, remaking the entire resort into a Club 33--and that might still happen even though the business model will bankrupt the Disney Company. The Carousel of Progress might be a good spot to run a Walt Disney show if it can be refurbished--Walt as a boy and then in the Red Cross, Walt in California as a movie mogul, Walt establishing Disneyland. Perhaps Walt as an angel looking over his playground with pride...it would be a higher capacity attraction than the Disney Family Museum in San Francisco and a possible replacement for the Walt Disney World Carousel of Progress. I watched the Disneyland television shows as they evolved. The news that Walt Disney had died was sad--my senior brother had the same birthday and weekly Disney shows made Uncle Walt a part of the family. Bring Walt back? "He did it to Lincoln."
Walt is actually on record as being opposed to any statues or animatronics of himself in the park(s). His humble point of view was that he did not rate the honor afforded someone like Lincoln. Obviously, the statue issue has been settled, but Dianne Disney Miller, and now her daughter Joanne, were/are adamantly apposed to an animatronic of Walt because it goes directly against his stated wishes. The real question here is, "has enough time passed?" For many members of the Disney family, that answer is no.
Then how much more time should there be? Yes what you said was true, but Walt passed away 58 years ago and was only a part of Disneyland for about 1/6th of its time. I think 58 years is enough time for sure. And there are many famous people in the past that said the same thing about themselves. Who goes around saying “Yes, one day I want a statue of me!” (Well, maybe one I can think of! 😂)
@@FunAtDisney But you see, I don't think that makes it "right". Disneyland is Walt's park, if he didn't want an animatronic of himself, I think the least we could do is respect his wishes. The very people who want to "celebrate" Walt with this new show, are doing it in a way that violates and disrespects his wishes. And let's not forget, whenever there's a new wave of hatred of Walt Disney, the company NEVER defends him with the facts. I remember, during one of the Disneyland anniversaries two years ago, they actually REMOVED Walt's dedication speech recording from the ceremony because there was another wave of backlash against Walt. So Disney is not putting the animatronic in there to "celebrate" him...they're doing it because among Walt fans, he sells merch, and believe me, there will be a Walt merch shop at the entrance or exit of the theater to milk that cash cow.
@@AlextheHistorian Ahh….. You do know there’s a Walt merch shop at the Disney Family Museum - right? I have some it. And there was Walt’s merch already in the parks for the 100th, so how is that different?
@@FunAtDisney don't get me wrong, I don't have an issue with Walt merch. I'm just saying Disney isn't putting the animatronic into the opera house to celebrate Walt. They're doing it to sell merch. The multi-million dollar aninatronic is going to be their cash cow. One that violates Walt's wishes...the man who built the place that will violate his wishes.
@@AlextheHistorian I think you are being very cynical! Disney could have easily just back and update the film they had at the Opera House during the 50th with Steve Martin for a lot less $$$ if all they wanted to do was to sell merch. But either way….Just don’t go when it opens!
Disneyland needs more Walt. Period. It is HIS park - the park he risked just about everything to build. Brickey- I was thinking the same thing while watching your last video on Tomorrowland and how it was ignored at D23...again. With the Cars Land announced for Florida's Magic Kingdom, it seems that Disney is looking to differentiate the parks and create different experiences across the globe. However, Disneyland is where Walt started it all, and it makes sense to me to maintain Disneyland as Walt's park, with all the "classic" attractions that Walt had his hand on, or greatly influenced before his passing. A "classic" Tomorrowland, from Walt's imagination, would not only be nostalgic (for us older folk), but could also put a modern twist on some of Walt's ideas for the future he imagined.
Can I place an order for a video? I'd personally love to know how Sharon, Diane and their kids didn't end up owning or being in charge of the company, and how those surviving today have no control over anything the company does. I've never quite heard the story of how his family got locked out of the company he started.
They didn't get locked out of anything, They simply sold their stock, over the years, and invested it in more lucrative things. Ron Miller, Walt's son-in-law was CEO by the early 80's but was forced out in 1984. Disney was languishing at that time a needed some fresh management.
One aspect of this we need and will never know is who got the idea of constructing a Walt Disney Animomotronic, was it WDI or Disney Company leadership? Second, did they consult Walt’s granddaughter at the onset or did she see it once they got an “alpha” version of the animatronic or was she not consulted at all? Those things need to be known to differentiate her response as steadfast to how she and her mother have always been or did the Company do this without her input?
Does it matter. Disneyland is failing with newer generation animatronics located at splash mountain that is a known fact. Disneyland as a financial investment is not performing well at all. So why do you trust an Iger approval?
Wow this is a sensitive topic. Personally, I’m looking forward to this. I agree that we don’t want to loose Walt’s vision if we loose it,then we are just another theme park. On the other hand, if this was my grandpa or dad I would never want to see them as an animatronic it would be too difficult. However, if you’re a public figure your life is very different than most people and you have to expect things out of the norm. I wonder if this animatronic would be difficult for anyone to see that has known Walt well. Maybe a imagineer who worked with Walt could comment. I would like to know. Thank you Brickey for yet another excellent video. 😊
I am told that robot Walt is gonna ask 'what's going on with Tomorrow Land???' 🧐 And the People Mover... WTH? 😎 He is also gonna do a dance-off with robot Abe.
@@JP-1990 Sadly, he never really spoke about working in the park, but my dad used to tell the tale of driving through orange groves to see his dad at Disneyland
You made a great point... why not Walt, if President Lincoln was ok? To me, this would be more than just a vibes ride. It would be an educational slice of history. A look at life from Walt's point of view. I don't know if they still play the videos of Walt in the lobby of the Opera House, where he's talking from his office, but THAT is exactly the vibe that I expect this new attraction to create. I'm hoping they approve it. We need more retro, heart-warming, Disney magic.
I wonder if the future bit will have him talk about how Disneyland will never be finished. As the window changes to showcase Disneyland forward. Much like how Epcot had the showcase for the new transformation.
Hooray !!… Walt may be jumping for joy somewhere!… and phew!… what an incredible thought to have Walt be the foundation of a new IP property to use in Tomorrowland!.. Brickey, love your research and methodical way you share your stories!!!… 👏💫
I’m excited to see Walt, but the future part of the show would be a concern. I feel it should all be things that Walt himself has expressed. I also love your vision on Tomorrow Land. I think that would be an awesome solution to that part of the park and would honor Walt.
in my opinion, walt should be in his park.....and be a reminder to the eisners and chapeks that have come after him, what disney stands for....he would not have a problem with his likeness being used....he licensed his name and likeness to fund disneyland construction...he literally invented "audio-animatronics"...with the tiki room(thats "walt disneys tiki room") mr lincoln, pirates, and every audio animatronic that came since. but mainly,as a reminder who walt disney really was,and what his dream was to him...and NOBODY should forget this great man. just make it respectful, and the best it can be. like the gold finials on the top of the castle, that roy said no,and walt did it anyway.....spare no expense to "plus" it.
I loved looking at the details on the board! Great video. Glad you brought up the moral question to be discussed! It seems like the family member that is all upset about "GRANDPA ROBOT😨!!!!!" does not represent the entire family's sentiments about it and clearly isn't thinking of this from a business perspective. According to the family member - if people want to learn about Walt and the parks they can watch old black and white videos of him and there's no reason to turn grandpa into a Robot. I find this argument so out of touch with the reality that the majority of people won't watch old videos. The Animatronic is going to help so many people learn about Walt and get excited about it! (Also I agree that Tomorrowland and Grandpa Walt Robot would be perfect together)
I'm looking forward to a great new animatronic- regardless of what the image is! I do remember Walt from his TV show, and I remember reading him describe that version of "Walt" as a character he created, so I'm not feeling any negatives here. Then again, I'm pretty mellow, and whenever "drama" happens in the Disney fan community, I'm pretty unfazed by it. :)
I saw GMWML when it premiered at DL. I was 16 years old. I can tell you that when President Lincoln stood up I almost s@&t my pants. It literally scared the crap out of me. It was the most amazing thing I had ever seen. 😮
I'm excited they are bringing Walt into the park in this way, just a walk across Town Square from his apartment. I'm right there with you, Brickey, about the emotional part (need to share a box of Kleenex?). People have to remember that audio-animatronic technology for Disney has come a long way since the giant squid in 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and the World's Fair rendition of Abraham Lincoln. I've read that Walt was a perfectionist and all about the details. I'm sure those assigned to this project are well aware of that. I hope they are able to give us a visit with Walt that we can all feel good about and have nothing but positive things to say about it.
Walt Disney allegedly said he never wanted an animatronic to be made in his likeness and I feel like I read a quote from him confirming that but despite many hours searching I haven't found it. In any case they better use the best of the best AA they've got for Walt.
Walt died before I was even born, and I think it’s just fine to have an invention that he helped invent present him in a way that the generations younger than me could see. Presenting Walt in a positive light would be something I would hope the company wants to do. I predict that it’ll cause as many stirs as the original Lincoln did, but I think we all deserve a version of Walt in the park. It’ll be interesting. Maybe even great. P.S. Although, if Joanna is objecting, that’s reason enough for me to say let this one go.
Sadly few people continued visiting great moments with Mr. Lincoln. How can you trust or respect management to use his words only without edits. Disneyland had built a Walt exhibit when you went into the great moments lobby. Video, audio, artifacts including Walt's office. Unfortunately it did not draw well...maybe the rope drops confused the park attendees. So my vote...no way.
Like 6 years ago there were those Garner Holt expressive heads, they did a Lincoln one and a Victorian era “Dickens” looking guy. Those were pretty amazing, and I’m sure technology has only gotten better. So I think it is possible to make something that won’t enter the uncanny valley, especially if it is viewed from afar up on stage. Although seems easy to just defrost the poor guy 😏

I’m fascinated of the idea of Tomorrowland becoming ‘Walt’s vision of tomorrow’ with a retro futuristic theme of the 60s space age
Love this idea!
The family says no. The family moved Walt's legacy items out of Disneyland. Why would you think this is what they want.
Family and any and all legal documents in or out of force.
I think they know that if it's not perfect, there's gonna be hell to pay. The fans will tear them up if it's not right.
But the presidents give ok and pose for them. Walt had said he didn’t want an animatronic of himself.
@@lindamemo5224Lincoln died in 1865. He didn’t give permission.
I wonder what Walt’s opinion of it would be after seeing the latest versions of the animatronics and just how far they have come in the technology. Who’s know, in another 20 years will we see an animatronic of Walt walking around Disneyland greeting guests?
This is the greatest honor of these imagineers life and career.
@@Sontecuco very likely true and animatronic versions of the characters
Having Walt in the park more is the most respectful thing they can do. Cannot wait for this
I think they must have something up their sleeve because they wouldn't do an animatronic for Walt if it wasn't super impressive. It's probably going to seem so real we can't believe it.
That's where my mind is at, they know the stakes
They've been working on free roaming AAs for a reason.
And that is why you should be concerned. Walt died, Roy died, countless cast members, producers of Disney art and films.
This will not bring Walt back. If people care about Walt and his plans...go to his museum in San Francisco at the Presidio. You can also visit on line.
@@davidculver5446Walt also wanted to be brought back to life
I do not know what his wishes were or if anyone ever knew.
I think this is an amazing thing to bring to the park, such a great way to pay tribute to the man who started it all!!
It's actually honorable to be bringing Walt back and I 100% think he would be all for it as you said he brought in Lincoln ... the creators making this have a HUGE task to make it the best... I'm excited to see this happen and i think it's wonderful they brought it to Disneyland, the only land Walt actually went to
💖🏰
Once I turned 18 and got a pass it has always been vibes over rides! I’m glad to find more people who share my mindset ❤️
Brickey. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 😂
Honestly, I love this idea of a Walt show.
Who was waiting for?
Walt definitely would have loved it!!! Thanks Brickey !
I'm just as excited as you are, Bricky! This has to happen!
😲😲 that would be so cool 😊 I would love to see that for sure 😊
Walt's family sold his likeness back to the Disney Company in the 1980's. They have Disney's permission to use his name and likeness for the museum.
Just ask yourself...why did some family members sell their holdings in stock. Why did they secure all things Disney and secure it in San Francisco?
To protect who and what he was.
Great Moments with Mr. Brickey!
What a treat, we get 12 more!
Looking forward to it!
I’m going to cry for sure.
Yes! It would be a modern version of Wonderful World of Color! For many of us, it would be the manifestation of our dreams!
He can recharge himself everytime he rests his bottom on the desk again. 😉
You worship the technology with no concern of moral questions.
@@davidculver5446 This is not true, but thank you for your opinion.
This is my Number 1 excitement!!! Hope, Disneyland gets more and more behind Walts image of the park. They seem to have wondered off a bit.
Igor bad, not sure why he got so much love at D23... He had done more damage than good.
Image of his works...image is easy, maintaining his works that is the real test and testimony.
It is true that Walt encountered some opposition with the exhibit.
I think Walt would get a kick out of it .plus keeping he's memory alive people need to see who the man was .
Bring back Walt! I need to ask him about these reservations we still need to make.
I'm open to having Walt in the park. I feel his ghost there all the time. I miss Lincoln. I'm up to crying!!

Which is incredibly hypocritical of them. This would not be the first time Disney did an animatronic of an actual person that’s dead.
Thank you. If you want to know about Walt visit the museum in San Francisco at the Presidio. You can also visit online. Walt and Roy who were not elected officials died. That memory should be left to the family, if you do not respect their requests you are in a bad space.
@@davyannajones so you are the voice of reason and compassion. Sad very sad indeed.
When it comes time for me to punch the time card, I want an animatronic of me waiting in line for the Haunted Mansion!
I can't wait to see this become reality! After speaking to some of the imagineers at D23, this has the possibility of being truly life like! On a personal note, thanks for working so hard at bring us your Disney design views! See you when you get back to DLR. 🙂
Can’t wait to see Walt’s animatronic! Not crying 🥹
I 💯 agree with your Lincoln/Walt take Brick House!
Great episode!! 😊
This is the single most amazing announcement from D23. I am so incredibly excited for this to come to life!
I want to see the animatronic interact with a 2D cartoon Walt, a CGI Walt, and a hologram Walt.
Really go all out.
Hahaha!!! Love this!
You do not care about Walt. For you it is a game. Sad
Loving and looking forward to your new series Disney Horizons! Congrats on 50+ K! Will be watching for the challenge… Mark vs Mark!
I’m enjoying your creative imagination and I’m here for your take on Disneyland’s past, present and future!
Hey Brickey!! You’re so awesome! 😎
I'm excited... I think it'll be a great addition to the park. And, there's no way they're not brining all the best animatronic tech to this!
Like splash.mountain.redo.
I can't wait to see this. Yes I will be in tears.
I'm glad you will be breaking down Horizons in long form. I look forward to each episode.
I'm with you friend. Thank you very much!
Loving the Vibes and the Horizon series!!!
Great moment with Mr. Brickey!
It's a brilliant idea and people are goin to love it!
Is there any actual video / audio of Walt saying he wouldn't want this done ... or in his own writing?
Are you an attorney?
I wonder what my grandfather would have thought about this. He used to operate the Day with Mr. Lincoln and met Walt Disney.
That's really cool! Any stories?
I am very excited for this
Let Walt rest in peace!
I’m excited to see Walt, but the future part of the show would be a concern. I feel it should all be things that Walt himself has expressed. I also love your vision on Tomorrow Land. I think that would be an awesome solution to that part of the park and would honor Walt.
I think it's great! He loved animatronics and was a ground breaker in the field. I'm sure he would of been fine with it!
in my opinion, walt should be in his park.....and be a reminder to the eisners and chapeks that have come after him, what disney stands for....he would not have a problem with his likeness being used....he licensed his name and likeness to fund disneyland construction...he literally invented "audio-animatronics"...with the tiki room(thats "walt disneys tiki room") mr lincoln,
pirates, and every audio animatronic that came since. but mainly,as a reminder who walt disney really was,and what his dream was to him...and NOBODY should forget this great man.
just make it respectful, and the best it can be.
like the gold finials on the top of the castle, that roy said no,and walt did it anyway.....spare no expense to "plus" it.
Anyone remember that Robot Chicken skit when Walt Disney was brought back to life? 😂
I saw GMWML when it premiered at DL. I was 16 years old. I can tell you that when President Lincoln stood up I almost s@&t my pants. It literally scared the crap out of me. It was the most amazing thing I had ever seen. 😮
Great video
You are far too trusting based on the Disney Company management.
Walt Disney allegedly said he never wanted an animatronic to be made in his likeness and I feel like I read a quote from him confirming that but despite many hours searching I haven't found it. In any case they better use the best of the best AA they've got for Walt.
Walt should be in his park!
Walt Disney is my Hero, without him I probably would of never of become a Artist. Ty Disney Imagineers
When was a little kid Lincoln coming to life freaked me out. I think Walt coming to life would be cool.
If this works, it will be the opening (or closing) scene to a new CoP at MK.
If they can do it right and go above and beyond than I'm all for it.
