- I was invited down to Southern Spain by Toro Adventure to ride one of their BMW R1250GS on some incredible roads, in the company of @thelikeablerider8800, @English-Motorcycle-Adventures and @TwoWheelsAndAPonytail.
We even took the BMW R1250GS off road!

For me Spain is def the best place to ride. As soon as I get off the ferry I just relax and REALLY enjoy! The roads, the weather and especially the people!! Been going for around 20 years now, all over Spain and I cannot wait to go back again!
The GS isn't bad too. As a short arse 5'4" I absolutely love my factory low version. 👍
I was fortunate enough to be able to retire to Northern Spain last year. After sorting the house and garden for the last few months . This year is all about exploring the roads in the mountains. So looking forward to enjoying the twisties. I may be setting up a bikers rest soon too.

I'm sure I recognise some of those roads. Our 3 days with Lyndon were amazing. The roads were fantastic. Don't let too many folk know about it...... Great video.

Had similar with my slim, not had an issue with my edge yet... I look at it as a surprise on the road, hey cardo radio off. Lol 😆 🤣

Beautiful, also the area where you've gone Off Road.
Having had three GSs the third gear advice for twisties was spot on, my playground is the Scottish Borders. Even better on my V2S Multistrada, better than a GS on back roads and just as comfortable, hell of a lot easier to move from bend to bend too, I prefer the suspension even without the telelever front end😉

what an amazing bike you have there. Was trying to listen to the exhaust but seemed almost the same as the standard one. Were you using the louder setting Mr Hyde. Maybe a video in the future on the twisties with just the exhaust sound pls
That was one of Toro Adventure’s GS’s so not was a standard can

Well, it is safe to say.... Spain and Portugal is high on my list of places to ride in the winter (here up north) There will probably be a time where I find myself rocking a GS or GSA again. What a great touring adventure bike it is. Love the way you get so crisp audio in this footage. The zoom works great I suppose? Cheers Bruce, and Happy New Year 🇳🇴
I've given up telling Cardo about it... just changed to another brand :). Nice trip though
I use a cheap Freedconn bluetooth helmet intercom system and randomly have the same issues with it dialing last call, turning the radio on and also playing music, so not just the Cardo issue!
I have exactly the same issues with my Packtalk Bold as do all my buddies. Radio comes on whilst you are having a brew and it then rings the last number again and again! I deliberately call my landline before I leave the hose (we don't have a handset!) just to stop it calling my Mrs! Great video - loved the off road sections

Hi, I’ve recently got back into biking and after an intensive refresher course, I nipped around the Scottish 500 back in Sept this year, loved it. Now looking for the bike I’ve always wanted, the BMW 1250 R S. the trouble is I don’t have that many friends at the same stage as I am re travelling, do you run events? If so how do I get in contact? I just want to try and give back as much as I can there as effectively I couldn’t do this full time without their support.
I also run tours with Chickenstrips.co.Uk and am just working on the schedule for 2023.
They’re aimed at the more experienced rider to be honest as the pace is fairly progressive and we target technical, challenging roads.

I have the same issues with the packtalk slim. On my second unit now first replaced but they had it 4 weeks an I’ve not ridden much since the new one came so can’t comment if it’s any better.
Went to Toro and ended up with a GS1250hp and yes my cardo turns the bloody radio on all the time.

Cardo, radio always comes on when I take my helmet off and music cuts out when doing a hard shoulder check and that's on two different helmets!
Have you told them that?
There’s obviously a firmware issue here as so many people seem to experience similar issues

Great video Bruce. Out of curiosity, are you riding your own bike and can I ask if the bike was secure on the ferry, if you did take it on the ferry? Just curious as I want to do a trip to Spain on my own bike and wanted to get an idea on how the ferry is.

No these are Toro Adventure’s bikes, but I’ve taken my own bike on many ferries, it’s very easy.
You just ride your bike on and the ferry staff tell you where to park, they then secure it and strap it down.

The constant GS adverts gets a bit tiring, like it's the only bike in the world can ride on light gravel 🤦🏽♂️ GS owners are worse than Apple or tesla owner

I'll take your word your GS comments are done with a sense of humor but we hear that from many others so often it becomes a turnoff.

Regarding Cardo, my Freecom 4+ turns either the radio on or redials last number every time I say "F**k off" or "F**k me", to myself while riding.
