thats about right! Dentists in the UK are fleecing the public. Veneers are not invasive work like implants, so how they come up with the prices is amazing. its no wonder people jet off to eastern Europe and Turkey for this sort of work

Think of it this way. Just getting braces 😬 and whitening cost almost $6,000 with your own natural teeth. So basically getting custom teeth I would imagine would cost more money.

I'm a dental tech. My experience is when doing any work for dentists the lab cost is usually about 1/4 the cost if that of the total price the dentist charges the patient.
Thank you dr. I am in complete shock and tears , my dentist shaved a lot of my teeth before putting the veneers, almost look like cap and it covers all over. The treatment was very long and painful. And the costs were $2000 per teeth. I have pain when I floss as well as with cold water. Oh he also lasered my gum without telling me in advance. 😢😢
What was the reason you went to your dentist? Did your dentist explain to you that they were going to give you veneers? How many did you get? From what I have read, you should not have sensitivity after a few weeks but maybe it is different for each person. Give it some time. You may grow to like them.
@@davidharrow9025 I had some wear in front and misalignment. I knew I need invisiline and few veneers . But I had no idea how much of my enamels would be shaved off, it almost looks he prepared them for crowns. Honestly had I known that I would have never done that.

I think most are permanent; although, there are some that are snap on, but the ones this dentist referring to, are permanent.

I appreciate the video. One thing that I have noticed, though, is that so few dental professionals - even those who specialize in veneers - seem to HAVE veneers themselves. They can certainly afford them. I can’t help but wonder if it is because they think it is unwise to destroy your actual teeth for a temporary cosmetic replacement.
rlh125 mostly because they’re happy for what they have, a good candidate for veneers are the one who have old multiple restorations/discolorations/ abrasions

That's the thing, though, isn't it? You almost always see a patient smiling broadly, blinding you with their new teeth, and a dentist just next to them with their natural, not even perfectly white teeth. And yes, I think dentists just don't think it's worth it to mutilate your natural teeth as long as they are healthy.

I have one front tooth chipped since I was 17. I’ve always had a composite filling on it. And I get it replaced about every 3-5 years. It is normal that they discolor. I recently went to a regular dentist to have it redone and they completely fucked it up. Now I have to go to a cosmetic dentist to make it as cosmetically pleasing as possible. And from here on out I will only go to a cosmetic dentist for this procedure. It will cost around $200 for just one tooth. And I ALWAYS whiten my teeth as much as possible before getting it redone because the composite will be as white as your natural tooth. Which means it will look les discolored over time

If you have bad teeth it will affect everything in life. Your relationship opportunities, career, friendships, mental health. I turned down so many opportunities in life because I had discolored teeth.

If they broke easily they wouldnt cost 1500, they tend to last around 15-20 years if you want your teeth looking perfect for the rest of your life, however you can leave them on forever if you want they just wont look as nice as they did when you first got them. You brush your teeth like normal, they're cemented onto the teeth.
Why do most people get blinding white veneers? Those type of extreme white veneers look very fake, and just don't look good. Why don't people just get normal looking (clean, white) veneers?

If you get the composite ones ( less expensive ) then about 5-7 years
If you get the porcelain ones ( more expensive ) then about 10-15 years

I need veneers but my biggest fear is getting up from the chair and looking like Mister Ed the horse. I don't want my new veneers to look any bigger or longer or thicker than my natural teeth. This is what has kept me from moving forward with purchasing veneers.
