The part to remember with Tebow was that he was a below average QB through first 3 quarters, but when the 4th quarter hit he became a superstar and would pull some incredible BS out of nowhere for a win
What was crazy about Peyton Hillis is he was a fullback, so everyone thought he would return fullbacks to the glory they had in the 60s when they were better than halfbacks. Peyton was also electrifying. Bill Belichick said he was the best back he had faced in the NFL after his loss to the Browns that year. The thing is, he kept getting concussions which led to his retirement before his 30th birthday. Hillis had the talent to be a great NFL back, but injuries prevented it. Who knows, maybe he would’ve brought back the fullback alongside Kyle Juszczyk.
I know it's not technically a linsanity run cuz he's always good but Josh Allen's 2021 playoff run (or whatever year the 13 second game was) is arguably the best that any quarterback has had. He scored a touchdown on every drive against Belichiks defense and then out-dueled one of if not the greatest quarterback of all time. Allen has never lost the Bills a playoff game and always gives them a chance to win.
The reason i love kadarius toney is because in those 2 weeks in fantasy, i started him in both. I was 0-8 at the time, and that pushed me to start a bounce back and finish 6-8 and almost making the playoffs. He also single handedly won me a game against my dad in fantasy 😂😂
A very interesting thing about the Peyton Hillis madden cover was that he was voted as the cover athlete in a fan vote because fans thought it would be funny for him to be the cover athlete
geno smith has 50 passing tds in his 2 years in seattle. if you add that to jake browning passing tds, that’s 12. if you add THAT to the amount of turnovers burrow had in week one of 2022, you’ll get 57, which is the amount of days ive been asking for the gfeul shake to return
9:16 I’ve been wondering that but didn’t know 2 games was enough lol and I watched that Dallas vs NYG game to, I pay more attention to yards as I got older so now I see why 😭
Tebowmania was a really weird era of Broncos football. Head coach Josh McDaniels traded up in the 1st round for him in 2010 (I believe he was expected to be a 2nd or 3rd round pick), Tebow was absolutely terrible as a passer in certain stretches, but Tebow also threw the pass in the playoffs against Pittsburgh that cemented the late D.T. as a future franchise legend. Peyton Hillis did start his career in Denver in 2008, but was later traded to Cleveland in 2010 by Josh McDaniels. As for how Peyton Hillis got to grace the Madden 12 cover, it was because Madden fans competed in a bracket where they would pick the next Madden cover athlete, and Peyton Hillis ended up winning the entire bracket as the 10th seed. Michael Vick on Philadelphia was his opponent in the final round, and he was the 3rd seed.
What's crazy with Foles is that he almost pulled it off twice in a row. Carson got hurt the year after the Super Bowl run and Foles stepped in and led the Eagles to another playoff berth (with Carson they lost control of their destiny, so it's unlikely it would have happened had he stayed healthy), upset the Bears (thanks to the good ol' double doink) and very nearly upset the Saints (could have possibly pulled it off if Alshon Jeffrey didn't have butterfingers). Had they pulled it out against the Saints, their opponents would have been the Rams (a team they had just beat in the regular season just a few weeks prior) and the Patriots (a weaker version of the team they beat in the Super Bowl the year before). Not saying it was a guarantee or anything, any given Sunday and all, but they were remarkably close regardless, to the point where some were saying they should have just stuck with Foles and traded Carson away. They didn't do that, and then the Jacksonville season happened for Foles...oof...
Some honorable mentions that Wyatt left out: Brock Osweilers run in Denver Bailey Zappe’s 2 week stint in NE 2 years ago which was the demise of Mac Jones Matt Flynn in GB had such a weird run it got him a contract with SEA before Russ Colin Kaepernick (which is controversial so I understand why Wyatt didn’t speak about it) Charcandrick West RB for KC David Johnson’s industrious career in Arizona Tbh Wyatt, there’s enough Linsanity runs in Football to realistically have a part 2 to this video (maybe even a part 3)
Fun fact about Jonas Gray, after his incredible performance against the colts, I’m pretty sure his alarm never went off because it broke or something, and he missed a team meeting like the next day or two after the colts game. Belichick wasn’t happy and decided to discipline him by benching him, and he was never the same after.
Carlos Hyde on the Texans in 2019 needs to be mentioned as well. He was serviceable with the 49ers before then, but he really popped off with the Texans that year as that was his first and only 1,000+ yard rushing reason. After that he was never to be seen again.
Idk if this counts, but my favorite Linsanity run is when Teddy Bridgewater led us to a 5 game winning streak while Drew was out. I'll always respect him as a Saints fan⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️
I will never forget that 1 game where Jonas Gray had 4 rushing touchdowns. He got benched the following game (cut a few weeks later) cause he was late for practice that week. What could’ve been
To answer your question, Wyatt, Hillis' Madden Cover was actually decided by popular vote of the fans in a March Madness-esque bracket, he beat out Michael Vick in the final head to head
taylor heinicke not being in this is crazy there 5 week range where he went 4-1 with the commanders and one of the wins were against the undefeated eagles
He really did forget one of the biggest ones of all time being Blake Bortles. Man legit went all the way to the AFC championship and actually had a pretty great year all in all.
@@geekymetalhead5112 it was very much sadly and Bortles also had his best year ever that year literally the biggest linsanity run that team has ever had.
The reason Hillis got the Madden 12 cover was because it was a fan vote. So if he didn't have the hype from that 2010 season, he wouldn't have even been nominated.
I find it so fucking weird how the NFL/media/madden want the browns to be good SO BADLY and it feels like whenever they enter a season with any hint of playoff aspirations they're given a primetime game EVERY other week
Ever though Nick Foles led the Eagles to the Superbowl I wouldn't consider that his best insanity run. I think it should have been the 2013 season. Foles only threw 2 interceptions and 27 touchdowns 2,891 passing yards in 10 games and had 119.2 passer rating.
We dont tolerate kadaruius toney disrespect in Florida. He was a dawg at Florida and as a Florida fan he’s the most electric college wr I’ve ever seen other than Tayvon Austin
*Spoiler* I actually forgot Keenum started for Wash when Alex smith was hurt! So he technically was still a starter after Denver
Yo Wyatt I don’t know if you’ll see this comment but damn dude I forgot about Travis Fulgham. Dude was a fantasy legend for about 3 weeks lmao
@wyattzworld another pretty recent one but Bailey Zappe had a 1-3 game stretch when he whupped my Browns throwing 3 touchdowns and then 2 the next
So Peyton hillis as cover athlete was a fan vote
What about 2017 Blake bortles
@@SogybreadTVfax’s don’t know if he knows that.
Bro that Joshua Dobbs Insanity run was insane in opinion, bro people where hyping him up for so long I love it
Great video idea!! Most underrated Linsanity run imo is 2021 Rashaad Penny
Yup
The part to remember with Tebow was that he was a below average QB through first 3 quarters, but when the 4th quarter hit he became a superstar and would pull some incredible BS out of nowhere for a win
People forget that Nick Foles had a few linsanity runs. He threw for 7 TDs in a game a few years before their Super Bowl run
That entire year he played like 12-13 games and threw 27 tds to only 2 picks and almost beat Drew Brees in the divisional round.
@@SweatyJowy69 I just feel like he didn’t get full chance tho like I thought after that 2013 year he was gonna be franchise QB for years

For Toney’s game against the cowboys he also got ejected in either the 3rd or 4 th quarter also
