Great work JFP, I just have some questions about critical information to this swap that was breezed over / not covered in the video and causing confusion in the comments. All about the driveshafts and transmission mount. 1. how much of a length extension is needed for the front driveshaft to connect to the front axle (in approximate length)? 2. I saw you told a commenter in this thread that you had this car's front driveshaft extended by a driveshaft shop, but is there an available spacer that measures the required thickness to fit the front axle? Or am I flawed in my understanding of how driveshaft lengths are extended... (I don't know how driveshaft lengths are extended). 3. for the rear driveshaft, you stated in the video that you were not going to use the OEM 2-piece and instead run a shorter aftermarket 1-piece in order to fit correctly. In one of the comments, you replied to @nic slayer saying you sent this G37x's rear driveshaft in to get shortened by a shop and on a separate occasion ordered a new 1-piece. My question is, which 1-piece do you speak of and where can I buy one for direct bolt on? 4. Please explain what you mean by "straddling" the mounting points of the MOUNT. You breezed over the driveshaft lengths and mount, which are arguably as important as the TCM. I'm lost in terms of what you meant by "elongating the holes" on the mount. It is unclear which holes on the transmission you bolted into through new holes you drilled on the mount or which holes on the mount itself that lined up with the threads in the tailstock.
1. Approx 3/4" is the difference in length 2. I have always opted to have the front shaft lengthened for every swap, however you could have a custom size spacer make by a machine shop to make up the difference.
4. Elongated the holes in the cross brace that straddle the frame rails to hit various holes on the Body that are there from factory for either AT or MT trans.
