Kristofer Mencák thank you very much for this excellent video. Yeah, featuring copyrighted material is a minefield, but would it be possible for you to tell us which song you synched your steps, anyway? Then we can maybe source it from the rightful owner and play it in the background. Thanks again, maestro! :)

This is very generous to share however, if i may say, a lot is taken for granted so this is for advanced aware dancers. You are both very experienced and skilled! I would emphasize how the rib cage moves over the feet for weight transfer, while the core is engaged for both lead n follow. This is the key. I would also specify the lead's left frame/arm, and follower's right side/arm need to be close to the body and same resistance but also shape of the frames throughout (leaders tend to overpush and followers tend to forget resistance)..adding to Mikaela's comment about keeping connection. That is of course a hard concept and can be a long journey to truly grasp. Thank you I enjoyed these types of foot passes and it will refresh my patterns! Love it. I think leg passes are the coolest things on earth!
Thank you! Yes, as this is ONE class in ONE course there are many things that are covered in beginner and improver classes, and therefore simply assumed people know about. I am just trying to get some example classes out there from my online courses at www.kizombaclasses.com. =) Glad you like it!
Thank you! =) I am glad you like it! Yeah, I have always wondered about about those "dislikes". People who don't like to get free classes that other people actually would pay for. Another level of ungratefulness. But, we all chose our way of interaction with other people and the world. A positive way, or a negative way. Bless! =)
thanks for sharing really liked the video . Really liked your explanations and your tips, even though i felt their was in the end too many moves. I would probably have broke it down in 3 videos . part 1 part 2 part 3.
Thank you very much! =) I am glad you liked it. As this is part of my online classes at www.kizombaclasses.com I have one topic per class. Maybe it is too many moves in it, but I wanted to give some different examples of slides, even though the technique is the same for all. =)
This is brilliant. While it's a bit awkward it's VERY helpful if you can consistently show the figure with the leaders BACK to the Camera😊 Since we are watching on a screen it's sometimes hard to see where right vs left leg should go. When your back is to the camera is far easier for leaders to understand and follow. 😊😊 Thanks again for the great video. Subscribed and liked.
Thanks! =) Yes, good with all feedback! I tried to show in different directions, but just like you say, it is a bit weird to talk and instruct with the back towards the viewers. Might be mental, but still. Worth giving it a try next time. =) Glad you liked!
Thank you for the video! I hope more people will use tango moves in kizomba and urban kiz. Although of course, the technique might differ a bit. Such "barridas" and a few other moves have the so-called "magnet concept", it helps people to understand how to keep the foot connection.
Thank you so much! =) Yeah, I like it a lot. It differs a bit I guess, but I think my technique is pretty similar. And, I also talk about "magnetic feet" - doing the slides with contact all the way, and the follower responds, so it is possible also to do them "reversed". =)
@@KristoferMencák yes! I tried to lead that move in kiz, at times it is harder )) because not everyone is used to keeping the contact and I am a beginner leader yet :).
@@KristoferMencák debateable my friend. The move originated in tango as arrastre/ barrida. Urban kizomba borrows (steals is no credit is given) more and more from tango making it a fusion but still labelling it kizomba. Ok it's not tango, granted but it's not kizomba either. What's your take on it?
The move might have originated in tango, and it might not have. It could have been something that tango "borrowed" from another dance, as no dances appear in a vacuum. All dances take influence from other dances, just like music does. New styles are created. New dances are created. That is exactly the reason I call this "kizomba fusion" because it is kizomba, with some other influences. Others call what they dance Urban Kiz, because they have almost no basics from kizomba anymore. =)
