    Thank you so much!
    About the close position I learnt it first in Kizomba (space between in crotch area) then got corrected by Zouk teacher (zouk is full contact and no ‘house’ shape) but now need to re-correct it for Kizomba 😅 it make sense that’s why I keep bumping legs and funny move for Saida , also it’s much safer this way😂

    There is no wave movement in Kizomba 😅 hope you can correct your teaching. Thanks.

    • @JoaoVeraDance
      @JoaoVeraDance  4 года назад +7

      Hello Ana thanks for the comment. You are totally right! Traditionally there was no wave on kizomba, only on the tarraxa movements. However, with all the development that kizomba is getting during the past years, we now have tarraxa movements inside kizomba, wave inside kizomba, and we also have kizomba without any wave like in Urban Kiz. Hope I could help and don't forget to have fun while dancing! 😁💃

    • @Ana-lv9lu
      @Ana-lv9lu 4 года назад +3

      Joao & Vera Dance I’m getting the impression from your response that to you the word Kizomba means some European fusion. Kizomba is from Angola and there is no wave. If you want to teach fusion that’s cool but please mention it in your video title (”10 Kizomba fusion mistakes”) because otherwise you are just spreading false information and confusing your students. And I’m sure we can agree that that is not what teachers are supposed to do.

    • @pandierik8346
      @pandierik8346 3 года назад +1

      @@Ana-lv9lu you kinda got a point. It's the same like when many(almost everybody) semba dancers/teachers think and tell that they dance and teach kizomba. It's so stupid to tell this. Traditional kizomba =\ urban kiz =\\ semba.

    • @ikechukwukenneth8097
      @ikechukwukenneth8097 3 года назад +3

      @@pandierik8346 well in the narrow señse, traditional kizomba as derived from semba (as function of certain changes to music) had no "wave" movement. But as he rightly said kizomba dance and music had undergone a lot of influences from zouk, tarraxahina and many other styles over the years hence the incorporation of certain other elements. Art is never static. The introduction of original semba/ traditional elements doesn't make it less kizomba

      ......Introduction of less traditional or semba........* (Correction)
