Your tanks are great looking! And the wood and block stand is the nicest I have seen...it is very attractive looking. And thinking i may do this for my next set up. What kind of paint did you use? It looks different than the other black painted blocks i have seen.
Great set up. I’ll be doing the same with my 30 gallon and 55 gallon. I’ve been watching other DIY stands using CBS blocks. You are the only I’ve seen using 2x8…all others use three rows of 2x4. I agree with you and prefer to have the added tank bottom support, not the gaps that result in 2x4’s. One question for you, are you cramped for accessing your 40 due to the three stack CBS? Obviously 4 cbs stacked would provide greater access to the lower tank but then you would have the upper tank 8 inches higher. Your thoughts? Thanks again your set up looks great!!
Looking at cinder block stands and this is the best ive seen yet!
Thank you
Thanks

What did you use in between the concrete and the hardwood floor to protect the floor?
doing this setup tomorrow for my 75

For 130 gallon is possible?
Are those the solid bricks?

Can I pull this off with a 75 G on the top and 55 G on the Botton? What size wood do It need?
55 would be too large for the bottom.
Did you paint the blocks
Yes. Left the natural wood just sealed it.
using the bottom for storage
