I like this video - thanks for posting.
Note: we have two brains(brains being simply electrical relay stations). The primary brain is located in the intestinal region of the abdomen. The secondary brain is inside the skull. Electrical energy is taken from the lungs into the primary brain, wells up to the secondary brain, where it is then dispersed throughout the system.
The value of knowing this, is that ALL ENERGY IS PROGRAMED WITH THOUGHT. Therefore, what you are thinking - while breathing - is programed into the energy released by the lungs. This “suggestion” is then carried to the secondary brain and dispersed throughout the physical structure.
This is why what you think is so important, and why meditation ON A SUBJECT is so effective.

Other Notes: Firstly - all animated life-forms cycle energy(consume energy). Most of us hold our breath when we experience pain. Even saying the word “ouch” causes most people to stop the breath for a moment. The problem with this reaction is that, as stated in this video, holding the breath pinpoints the focus. Focus attracts/CREATES that which it is focused upon.
Secondly, on a cellular level, the individual cells of our nervous system are nourished by the energy released, from breaking down the air molecules inside the lungs. The moment we cringe at pain, we stop the breath, and in that moment, starve the very nerve cells who have just labored very intensely to send us the messages of disruption(pain). If, in that moment, we starve them, they continue - out of control, like a hungry toddler - zipping around sending the same messages(of pain), over and over…
So, holding the breath enhances the condition of discomfort or injury, and starves the messengers/cells, so they send far more pain signals than necessary.
Developing the habit of reacting to pain or discomfort with deep horizontal breathing, a) satiates the messengers so they(well fed) can take a siesta, and; b) breaks the creative focus away from mentally compounding the alleged condition of injury.
    Namaste!
