No need to apologize for lengthy videos! Kids may get distracted but most of us vintage guys have no problem watching. :) I also love it when hot wheels extends the clear plastic from the windshields into the headlights and taillights. I wish they did it on everything.
JoMotor49 where u find vintage hotwheels i like hotwheels some new i don't like the came like cool cars i like montet Carlos ford Fairmont i check your video you have beautiful cass

I like the Monza 2 plus 2 the best in this video I collect first year redlines 67 to 1977 redlines and 77 to 1990 black walls . I love first year customs original first year custom mustang and 67 camaros to the black wall mustang stockers and hot birds are my favorites .
Hahaha I was definitely trying to blow that stray hair off of my phone and then I finally realized it was in the video when you moved it! I laughed so hard! That was an amazing haul, I absolutely love those trucks!
It's all good, the same happens to me all the time. I swear I shed as if I'm an animal sometimes. That's why I thought it was so funny because I was 100% sure that it was mine. So here I am blowing on my phone screen and it's not going away.
Nice finds . U scored some rare cars . That green byway man with the numbers is a rare truck now the numbers I have no clue never seem anything come from the factory with stickers like that. I say they were added buy someone after . But not sure . What makes it rare is that mal base meaning it was rerelease in 1982. The hk base came out in 1980. I have been hunting the 82 mal base for a number of years with no luck. Very nice score. Also the white w/ flames super van w/ mal base is also a htf piece I have been hunting with no luck. I was about to say u found a French xr3 another rare car Only released in France hints the French base. U would not have found a French base car in the U.S. Add in those minty hero cars u scored on this lot very nice
dreadnok320 great to hear from you man, thanks for the info -- I wasn't sure about the Bywayman, those stickers are strange. I was a kid in a candy store at that place. Just watched your video of the Tomart's guide and then picked one up. Now I have a longer wish list ha
The Human Torch Funny Car has a Plymouth Arrow body. The car first made an appearance in the Hot Wheels line up in 1978 as Don "the Snake" Prudhomme's 1977 Army Funny Car....which sported Number 1 as he was the World Champion at the time. (That was the only time that I can recall where Mattel included in the Tampo a logo of the Cigarette Manufacturer Winston as Winston-Salem was a minor sponsor of that car. But I must applaud Mattel's attention to detail.) Anyway that is a brief history of that casting.
Nice video! Looks like you raided my collection that I have had since I was a kid and still have......LOL! I have about 90% of the cars you showed that I bought as a kid!
this video was recommended in my feed . . . so I clicked . . . and I must say, I enjoyed watching . . . I just subscribe to you . . . onto the next video Tom (F4collector)
The Tow Truck Larry's Towing made them with the actual Phone number to Larry's tow service. If you can find one. The olds 442 came in many variations Different colors and Tampo's some are rare than others.
I wonder if the 118 on that bywayman was a number given to a series of painting style samples. If it was indeed something a hot wheels employee owned it may have been a test shot or paint test version.
Nice Videos you got some awesome hot wheels the met blue super van you could only get from Kelloggs mail in there were 3 cars I think the super van and a black fire bird funny car and a met blue indy car the reason I know my Grandma got me set when I was younger and I still kept them all these years :}
That was a great haul of vintage hot wheels. Most impressed by the assortment of cars. The shell truck must have been one of my favs. Love the metal tank with the tampos. First time I've seen suspension like that on 1:64 and also your right. The wheels on the caddy doesn't match, but still looks awesome! Really really enjoyed your video of the vintage stuff. Thanks for sharing.
I watched and loved all 31 minutes of this video. I have most all of these except your Ford Escort, and the dump bed trucks, in my collection. Yours are in much better shape though. Thanks for sharing your collection.
Have you picked up a copy of Tomart's Hot Wheels Price Guide yet? If you're interested in pursuing vintage stuff, then I think that you would really benefit from it. There are a lot of unique variations to be had, as well as some fantastic international (India, France, Mexico) pieces to collect.
JoMotor49 Yes, that's true. It's a great resource... but, it's not perfect. I've learned a great deal more from fellow collectors like WTFFOR, JoshTheCollectorGuy, and dreadnok320 - especially concerning international pieces. Are you looking to acquire more international stuff?
Mattel used Flat Out before that game existed and trademarked it. Those are Trademarks and not Copyright. (Note the TM after Flat Out on the chassis...) Perhaps the Creator of that Video Game purchased the Trademark? Perhaps Mattel is marketing the game? Perhaps the Creator received written permission? Or perhaps the Creator is in violation of the law and has opened himself up to a lawsuit?. Contact Mattel and you might be paid for that information.
Excellent video as always. I think I have watched them all over the past year and I learn something new each video. One quick note, I noticed the rivets on the two caddies were different colors (one steel, one gold) is it possible somebody wheel swapped with the real riders and then re-riveted the car back together? I don't know if the variation in rivets is common or not. It may be nothing, but could explain the real riders. Thanks again for the videos.
LeRoy Schalk Thanks for watching and for the comments -- interesting observation on the rivets -- the RR version of the Caddy is definitely an official release, but I'll have to investigate the rivet thing. Thanks for pointing it out!
The Ford Escort has got to be one of the rarest early '80s Hot Wheels castings.

FRANKSKIDS good stuff!

We all say, "This came from a former Hotweel employee", it adds an extra 1000 dollars to the sale price lol!!!
Nice wheels bro...

VeeDub Matt just ordered Vol. 1. Dreadnok said it doesn't include the India/Leo releases, true?

There is a video game series named "Flat Out" probably an issue of copywrite.
+Jason Riley good point!
***** True, but we live in a twisted world.
