Amazing 70s/80s Retro Toys Found In Estate Sale Garage

- This estate sale was one of my favorites I have been to in quite a while. It had a TON of 70s/80s Toys in the garage of the sale. There was all kinds of stuff: star wars, gi joe, MOTU, wrestling, transformers and more! I was able to snag quite a bit of them and got some really amazing stuff. Hopefully this is a sign of more great yard sales, and garage sales to come.

The thumb/finger wrestler in Red, isn't another version of Ab Wing guy (Paul Orndorff) though they look the same.
The thumb/finger wrestler is "Rowdy" Roddy Piper.
I had a huge tote full if original GI Joe figures and vehicles but before moving...I sold them to an auction house for close to nothing...I'm wished I would have kept them. Excellent score Ben!! Happy for you!!

The whole time I was watching, I was sitting there getting excited like I was there trying to grab that stuff right along with you, lol. Great job man, good finds! Also, the wrestler with the abs looks like Rowdy Roddy Piper.
Haha yeah when I saw the pictures I was sold on going to the sale. Glad I got there early and got some good stuff. Happy with it over all.

Thanks Ben for the awesome walk down memory lane. Great haul. I know you weren't there for these but those white ceramic Christmas trees! Look those up some go really high.
I recognized Hulk Hogan and that's it. My brother had the original GI Joes maybe back in the 70's? They were made to be dolls for boys. Girls already had the Ken (and Barbie dolls) for girls. GI Joe was the same size as Ken, only with way more muscles. LOL
The toy area looked like a bunch of locusts were hitting it, made me nervous watching it but I'm glad you managed to get something worthwhile. I look out for older toys, some of those I have never seen before so thanks for the info. My favourite -The original Penguin :) I wish that my son had kept his toys in such good condition!

So cool. I was born in 1982 & my brother in 1978 & I still have so many of my girl toys in the attic & saved a few of my brothers boys toys ... I have a few of those lime green toys/transformers or whatever they are lol
You should look through them. You might have some treasures worth some good money hidden away 😀

Awesome score on a few of the original 12 Star Wars figures! Wish you were able to get your hands on more G.I. Joe stuff, big money there. I am absolutely excited that they're making a comeback in that size!! I had a TON of the figures and vehicles an the aircraft carrier growing up

The only time I was actually screaming at you to grab stuff you walked by LOL. I'm a HUGE toy collector and reseller and I would have been having conniption fits at all of that 70's and 80's toy goodness!
Haha I had to be quick and grab the stuff I knew a bit about. I’m sure I missed some stuff I could have thrown in my bag if I knew about them. Haha. It was a great sale though. Thanks for watching!

Just found you on RUclips. I follow many resellers, but this is the first time I have seen you. Then you stated you were from Charlotte. That's my home turf until about 5 years ago. I grew up in Matthews, but lived for 30 years in Union County. Retired to the mountains of Virginia, but have done many many estate sales in the Charlotte area. I will be watching for further videos
The figure with the cape on is called the Death squad commander from the 1977 Star Wars.
Those stretchy bois are Giraya Ninjas! They weren't super popular but they are super cool
Oh my god stop making me yell at my computer screen. I loved seeing all those toys especially the Castle grey skull set that looked like someone else got it. Also the black suit spider man is spider man not Venom. It might be the black suit spider man from Secret Wars. That was a great score but you should have checked out the percaline christmas trees that were in the one room. Some of those can be worth some good money. Thanks for sharing that was a great video that brought back some great childhood memories.

Awesome score! Anytime an estate sale has highly desirable items like vintage toys, video games, etc, you can bet there be a long line of people. I normally don’t plan to attend these unless I can get there early. I signed up for one last year but the vintage SW figures were overpriced but I scored on a VCR/VHS Recorder new in box for $30.
Yeah normally I pass on them but this one seemed good and the company running it is one of the ones that I like in the area. But yeah every time it’s video games or toys there’s always a line.
Wow nice pick, I would have emptied that GI-Joe table those vehicles sell quick quick for good money.
Normally I would have but some were marked up to eBay prices unfortunately.

Grey Ewok is Chief Chirpa, striped is Logray the Medicine man, and Snaggletooth has Yoda's belt on. Green Gammorean Guard, og c3po is all gold, that grey Imperial Officer doesnt have a cape.... not sure who that goes to....

I miss living in Charlotte that baseball and is like every two months in a different city those travels to hickory Charlotte and Raleigh. and you have Rebel Base comic and toys that is always buying collections.

I don’t consider myself a big fan of Star Wars, and I haven’t bothered watching the recent films, but I’m still surprised when people don’t immediately recognize all those toys. Weird how life can be, we all have something people would be shocked to find out we haven’t experienced.
Like I’ve never seen a Terminator film, that usually surprises people.
Also I totally had that penguin figure as a kid, wild.
Any items you don’t know may be able to be looked up with an image search in the google app. Open the app and click on the “camera” icon on the search bar. Take a photo and it will bring up visually similar items! I’ve had pretty good luck with it.
Blue and Yellow guy is Dr. Fate, The last figure can with a dirt bike.
That guy that already grabbed the Cobra Mamba must have been like a kick in the crotch.
Red jumpsuit snaggle tooth is wearing Yoda’s belt. Death Star Squad Commander Character is wearing someone else’s cape so that’s a separate accessory.
14:43 those figures look like Dukes of Hazzard...Sheriff Roscoe P Coltrane and Bo Duke (the cuter of the 2 cousins in my opinion). Hope that helps

My boys are in their 40s. I bought most of that stuff new. No we don't have it. There are tons of star wars figures buried in three yards in Spokane. Aaaaaaggh
Love your channel, but I have mixed feelings about this sale. There’s a frenzied energy to it that I’m trying to get away from. Obviously these vintage toys get good prices with fast sell-though, but the time spent in line coupled with the mad dash when the doors open just takes the fun out of it for me. It becomes another stressful job after a while. I’m really trying to find niches out there that don’t attract this kind of competition and FOMO. My stuff might not sell as fast, but I don’t want to live and die by always having to be the first one there. I’m not hating and I know that Ben’s thrifting game is on point, and he’s not just about estate sales, but I don’t envy this aspect of the hustle.
No kidding. I stay away from crazes. I know right now that sports cards and pokemon cards are hot but I'm not about to wait in line and then compete with people for the stuff. The other day I walked into Target, walked right by the horde waiting for the pokemon cards to restock, and did some retail arbitrage for Amazon. I walked out of that store with close to 500 in potential profit. I was in there maybe 45 minutes tops. And the horde was still there waiting for the cards when I headed to the registers.
Your 1984 marvel figures are from secret wars line the purple guy is baron zemo and "venom" is actually symbiote suit Spiderman(before venom just a black suit), so glad to help as you've helps my family immensely keep up the good work. DC Guy Is Dr. FATE With the yellow helmer

Who needs research when you got Google lens. I googled right off the screen and found Four Star Transistor Kickback bootleg Grasshopper for the knockoff Transformer. I recently used it on a box of junk and found a MOTU snake head for Viper Tower. It has helped a ton on figures for me.
Google lens is a good tool but defiantly does not replace research. It’s a good tool for assisting in research. But unfortunately It only gets items right a handful of the time. Overall knowing how to research and keyword properly via searches is the way to go IMO.
Man, I found some of those stretchy guys new in package at a thrift store a few years back. Can't remember for the life of me what their name is though. Cool pick ups though man.

Yeah I just don’t know a ton about them. I know to look for redlines and I know some individual cars to look for. But, otherwise I’m not super knowledgeable about them.
