I went to an estate sale last Saturday and bought a box of old vases at the time I really didn't look at them closely since they were all wrapped and taped very well once I got home I looked at them and found out they were all Rookwood pottery from 1920-1932 I paid 4.00 for the entire box
Love estate sales...our area has three to five every weekend ..prices on Saturday insanely cheap..way better than rummage sales 😊
I have dreams about finding a box full of Rookwood. Dreams do come true.
That Michigan jacket is University of Michigan not Michigan State! Easy mistake. Love your videos!
👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️good for you!!!
Im not from America in România we dont have garage sale But we have targul porcilor in english its pig sale😂
Several years ago I went to an estate sale. I paid $50 for a pair of brass lamps. I have enjoyed them all these years. After watching your videos I became curious so I googled “large brass lamp with dragon handles” Imagine my surprise when it said the value was $2800😀
Especially since it’s something you have gotten to enjoy too
You guys had me rolling! Cracked up when Matt said anyone going to Mount Everest isn’t going to worry about a little stain😂😂😂
I lost my sweet hubby ten years ago, but for our entire 30+ years together we garage sales, thrifted and went to auctions. Watching you two bring back lots of wonderful memories. You guys are so sweet and so funny you make my day!! Keep doing what you do!
The lamp with the blown shades was quite a find!
You and Matt are so fun! Thanks for bringing me along and teaching me so much. I find myself smiling and chuckling at your antics. 😂😂 You are my favorite e-bay store!
@thehomeschoolingpicker Kayla those fabric ornaments were a kit to sew yourself. My sister and I had a set of the Wizard of Oz when we were kids in the 70's. I still have the Tin Man, not sure what happened to the rest. Hopefully my sister has them. They were a lot of work sewing, stuffing, sewing on the beads & sequins. All hand sewn, no machine sewing
I found the wizard of Oz kit from the 70’s. At a thrift store for a couple dollars. Complete kit all sealed up with all the felt, sequins and everything. I can’t wait to make them.
Did you notice all of the seating she had in the back yard? And the play area for the grands? I’m so happy for her! My grands are a gift from God for letting my sons live through their teen years!
Grands are just that…Grand!!
Kala, if you have a spot you’re struggling with, try Folex (it’s carpet cleaner, but man does it work), Dawn power spray or Peroxide!!
Love that antique dresser with the mirror that the lamp was on.
I am thrilled that I found this channel!
I feel your videos show honest scenarios. I have watched another channel for a few years now and I feel their thrifting/picking scenarios have become staged. You show the big money maker scores along with the “typical” score, also your estimated values are more realistic.
Thanks!
I’m looking forward to binging past videos!
Hey guys have a blessed week! I thought the "cutting board" was a chalk board.
Don't start over, bloopers are fun Matt. Need to smile alot. Thanks guys.
I went back to watch some of your first videos, WOW… if reselling doesn’t work out for ya Kayla, you definitely have a gig in advertising! Your bit on the “ jet seal 109” was spot on!!! LOL Sooo funny… ! Your personality is genuine. You have a “ great eye” on what to pick up for resell and know your stuff… fantastic ! ( you know I’m just kidding about if reselling doesn’t pan out, right?) Thanks for being so true to yourself and others, love your videos.
I used to watch you years ag and you are so knowledgeable. But you and Matt are just so much more fun to watch. I love how you are in sync, and are so excited for each others finds. May you have years of hunting and happiness!
Designer Aigner pronounced “on-yay” it’s French❤ I loved them back in the day. Great finds🎉🎉🎉
Right!
I was going to say the same thing🤣
Great haul! Love watching you and Matt together 🎉❤
Glad she realized the value of the $1000.00 piece before selling.
Which one I missed it.
I am too. It’s sad to take advantage of people if they don’t know.
The leaves are beautiful in KY! You two are so funny together! Also, y’all found some good stuff!
Awesome finds today! Oh my that lamp was so BEAUTIFUL!!! Love it! You and Matt just crack me up! You two have so much fun!
When we had an estate sale for my mothers home (she was a collector of everything) we had a professional antique assessor come in and value all the items. So all the really valuable things were properly priced.
So glad we did. She had tens of thousands of dollars of hidden gems.
Watching from Fl.Enjoying the scenery. No leaves changing here. The marble tray is for charcuterie, the marble helps keep the items cool.
Can’t beat me on “surprises” found in golf bags…….I was lucky enough to find a crack pipe plus drugs!! Don’t be jealous-Lol!!
Aiger was my grandmothers favorite. I never realized as a child how very stylish she was😊
I laughed so hard how you pronounced Etienne Aigner. Thank you for your video
This is my new favorite channel. Love your excitement and love seeing all the interesting finds. It's great when people take good care of their things and are able to pass them on.
We own a land surveying company, and I was excited about the Transit Level... don't find those at yard sales.. I was about to be jealous! Lol Great finds.... happy hunting from Tennessee!!
Nice that the Lexington Goodwills still have Vera Bradley purses for $5.29. Our local GW (also in KY) pulls them out and puts them on the higher-priced rack where everything zip-tied to the rack.
My local Goodwill that Vera Bradley bag would have been priced at least $15.99. Goodwill prices have become ridiculous.
It’s always a pleasure shopping with y’all 😊
I guess I'm not the only one who still says "pocketbook" 😊
I watch alot of thrifting videos and u guys have become my ultimate favorite. I watched you both and then you got even better after you joined the force of love. Love you guys 😍 greetings from iceland
I look forward to you and Matt with your tag sale ventures. My favorite content creators to watch while I am listing cloths on Postmark! Happy Hunting and Thanks for the content!
Her s
Me too! ( :
Hi Kayla and Matt another great video!! Wish we could see Matt sometime in the video. I know he is the camera guy but maybe video when y'all are in your truck just a thought! Love you guys. Take care and stay safe. Blessings your friend Joyce from California HUGS 🫂 🤗 ❤️
Great finds kids !!! I want to live on “Baconwood”. Lol
Those ornaments were handmade. They came in a kit from Bucilla. I made them in the early 80s. There were many more kits - I made them all. I had a whole tree of them. I still have a few - but I gave most of them away.
Thank you all I love watching you two
Love watching y’all two together go to garage sales. Also loved the trees with the different color foliage. I’m from south Texas with no change in seasons.
I noticed the back of that mirror had a piece of wood on the back. Always check the backs of pictures and mirrors for treasure people have hidden...
I love watching you all how you all get along with each other and carry on yall make my day
Love watching your videos and how you buy all kinds of items and not just look for certain things. You do a great variety. Make a great team
The tulip lamp is gorgeous. Luv how u and Matt can finish each other sentences, if a moment happens.😊
I agree!! I wish I could afford it in her store!!
I wish I could sell on eBay again. Been 5 years since I quit doing that platform. I live in Nebraska so there ain't much garage sales or estate sales until summer time comes.
I like how you show the price it sold on eBay as you shop what you buy.
I have always heart Etienne Aigner pronounced as: et-e-N' AHN'-yay. That's a newer logo on that red purse. I'm laughing because I thought the "divot fixer" was to dig mud out of your shoes. I obviously know nothing about golf. LOL Dustin Pedroia= Pe-DROY'-a You got some great stuff!!
Those felt Christmas ornaments are by Bucilla. My mother made those for me and my family. All hand sewn and very intricate.
I came to find this comment! I also think the Mickey and Minnie are from a 70’s Paragon kit.
😁The little fur mouse you picked up in the mystery bag is from the early '70's, maybe older. I have several of them that I was given by my Aunt when I visited England in 1976; I don't know what they are worth, I've never thought of selling them. One of mine has a yellow dress and a little basket with one corn kernel in it. Kayla's Eagle Tee for the win! You did well today. Stay well 🦘🦘🦘
The Dynamic Duo! You all always put a smile on my face. And that's hard to do!
❤ Kayla love your hair. And you and matt make a good team❤
I’m 65 and Aiger was a big deal back in the 70’s
Yes they were. I’m 66 and my Mom had an Aigner purse 😊
I had lots of aiger, belts purses wallets etc
Yes it was, pronounced “Aunyay” French.
Yes you are right on the pronunciation, it was like buying Coach today
I had it all, still have a few pieces.
You two are so good together. Love watching your videos.
Awesome video as always...great great finds...that black express dress will be perfect for someone going to work Christmas party ...super cute...love that brown vera bradley purse also from goodwill...love yalls communication lol how you guys finish each others sentence or words super cute!!!!
Don't pass on the Pilgrim glass, especially the colored glass. The basket looked like the handmade ones they make in Charleston
I bought an incense box for a friend just like the one that you found about five years ago at Walmart for $7. The one that I bought didn't have the brass but other than that it's identical. The good thing about this particular incense burner is that it burns powder, cones or stick incense. There are holes in each end to put the sticks through to hold the stick incense and after lighting the incense you close the lid and the smoke comes out through the holes in the lid. It's a really cool and versatile incense burner.
I’m 5’2” as well so I understand how hard it is to find anything that fits. Very cute sweatpants. 😊 And fun finds. 😊
Just so you know the bells in the corner that you said were junkie are actually from the 50s and they go on the silver aluminum Christmas trees. They are the lower end of the market from that time but they are also vintage.
Yay for Monday! I saw it pop up &couldn’t wait to relax and watch my fave duo!!
I’m not a Vera Bradley fan but I do love that brown and circle quilted one! So different 🧡
Hi All. I live in Canada and love to check out local Goodwill Shops. I just wanted to suggest a cool cheap little helper in reading the fine print on unfamiliar items. Michaels craft stores sell inexpensive magnifying tools in the bead area called a Jewellers LOOP like the thingy jewellers use to look at fine gems like diamond rings. I can’t shop without mine. Tiny enough to fit any pocket or put on lanyard. Bet you’d find it so useful. Truly happy to have come across your platforms. Sending ❤️ From Ontario Canada. Happy picking/reselling. PS you and your man are an adorable couple.
Drink every time he says "Yeah" or "Ok." 😅
That's a dangerous game, buddy.
I don't normally comment but you commented about us telling you stuff .
I want to say you two are adorable!!! I love you both!! Together I mean.
❤❤❤❤❤
You really know the value of things - love hearing what you do get for stuff when you sell it. What is the name of your shop??
I burned incense in that same burner today and did NOT know about the storage area at the bottom! I've had it for years thank you!!!
That lamp is absolutely beautiful! That's the type of stuff I like to pick up for resale 😊 Dawn dish soap is my go to for everything!! Especially stains! Stop buying the expensive stain removers! I want to find a partner that enjoys reselling as much as I do! You two have such a great partnership! It's fun to watch!
You guys are the cutest! I love watching you two pick together.
What do you use to compare prices or find the items ? I love it and it looks easy to use .😊
The nice purse looks like it sure would work as a cross-body.
I love the background piano music.
Madee it to the end :) Some nice finds...
I have that mirror it is from Home Interiors. It was a company that did home parties in the 80’s
I love watching y’alls videos! Where in the world do you store all this stuff!!? I only sell clothes and I’m already out of space. 😢
I love that you and Matt are together, and we get to see you both in more videos. Kentucky and California are a distance apart. I hope he owns stock in the airlines.
He has now moved to Kentucky.. they bought a house together
@@debrakiser1976 WHAT?!! More info please. Just interested in the basics as a weekly viewer since August. Been watching old videos for more content after you mentioned Peaches to Beaches.
Kala you have the cutest figure and your hair looks extra pretty today! Too bad about the $1000 item! But you still found a lot of great treasures. (Kayla, buy silk long underwear, tops and long pants, keeps you warm, without bulk. I wore silk underwear in winter Germany, and I was warm. Just a thought. Found at a ski shop.)
She's adorable ❤❤❤
Very hard to stay warm when your light skin polish with no blood in your veins. Yes I have blood but it's very cold. Thanks for the silk tip
If anyone has any other tips about how to stay warm in the cold Connecticut Winters
And wear a hat
I really love yalls cheerfulness, lifts my spirit! Thank you
Yvon Thrifty Rich would LOVE those jeans. She has the worlds biggest smiley collection!!!
When you you asked what went into the pretty wheel barrel I said “DUST” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
You two make great videos, laughing having a good time! Hardly seems like work.
Red Sox Fan here, Dying laughing at the Pedroia pronunciation. Looks like a fun day!
Woo lite pet stain remover is the best stain remover I have found. Blue seat bottle the a dog and a cat on front. Good stuff.
When is Matt moving to Kentucky? You guys are a great match and I love watching your relationship bloom. I hope great things are to come for you both. ❤
NoI ain't happening
Wait what did I miss. Is Matt separated from wife now? I Haven't seen the wife and kids in the vids lately
@@DeweyMilton, bet it does.
@@juniorog4080yes .and Matt and Kayla just bought a house together..and just moved into it
Love the both of your time, patience and energy giving us FANS/VIEWERS description of some items we know nothing about. LOL,
ALWAYS AWESOME HARD JOB that you both do. LOVE YOU.
You Guys Found A Lot Of Great Stuff I Love The Lamp And Baskett That you got 😊Great Video. 👍
So sad you didn't get that $1000 sextant to resell. Great find that was.
You two are so funny. I haven’t watched in awhile but found you today. Very entertaining.
Fun video! Kayla, my 29 yr old daughter is only 5’1” (barely over 100 lbs) & has the same problem finding pants…gets frustrated, cause she sometimes resorts to going to the kids section
Aww!!! I had one of those lil pocketbooks when I was a lil girl! Approx 45 yrs ago!
I’m always learning from you two!
I run across a lot of oddball / local advertising single stitch tees at our Goodwill. I will usually go ahead and grab them for 3 bucks on the off chance that someone might want them. If they don't sell, I throw them in my clothing booth and try to at least get my money back of a couple bucks more.
That was funny I kept trying to say “kernel” when you guys were figuring out what it was called. I actually just laughed at myself thinking you could hear me 😂
Bummer about the compass 🫤
Good stuff! And so much fun to watch you guys. ❤
I didn't get a close look at that basket, but it looks like it is made with pine needles. My aunt used to make baskets using pine needles.
That Callaway golf bag was an excellent grab for $25!! Gorgeous color. I have sold one for $120.
The felt and sequined ornaments look like Bucilla, and the “junky” vtg plastic pink bells are perfect for aluminum trees. And, a sought after color 🩷
Was anyone else wishing that they also picked up the royal blue Halloween sweater too? But, great find on those sweaters. What’s old is new again 😊
I saw some Keen shoes you missed at the last yard sale and some quilts. I love handmade quilts I wish I could find some here in East Tennessee ❤
You look so pretty! I love your hair… makes me want to finally do it and cut mine off! 🙂❤️from Oklahoma
I enjoy watching you two!
I'm 72 and been collecting old train stuff since I was 12. Always buy any old Lionel Train things you can get. I have Thousands of $$$$$ worth of antique Lionel Trains.
Ok i got my Monday fix. Now to wait for Thursday!! 😊😊
So first off good evening friends , another great video, question so we see Matt in Kentucky quiet a bit? Will we see Kayla come do a Cali visit?? Just curious would be great though , keep up the awesome videos love too watch
The red purse is pronounced on yay. It is Etienne Aigner. I carried those bags and wore Aigner shoes in the 80's & 90's. Quite expensive.
Matt is so cool! I like what he said when you were dancing! You asked was he ready? He said Yeah! I think I'm ready! 😂😂
Great to watch! Very, very cool. Keep on!
Those sweaters are amazing, I wish this wasn’t 10 months ago now 😅😅
Those snowman jingle pals sell for good money
You talk like I do , strugling to find the right words.. I had covid in 2020 been struggling ever since.
Thank you for the video!! I learn so much from you guys!
Matt's shirt DEFINITELY WINS!!!!
