- What are the issues with too many fruits on your fruit trees:
1) putting pressure on the branches that bend and remain bent
2) lots of fruit invite critters that will feed when not picked on time
3) broken branches due to loads of fruits
4) fruit remaining behind on the tree
You have some beautiful trees that are loaded with abundance. It is a very good problem to have. Maybe try juicing to drink fresh, freezing some of the juice, other preservation methods and selling some.
Obviously a good problem gone bad 😌
I prune my trees annually and do summer pruning also on the vigorous branches that could be a problem in the future. Cultivated fruit trees have been bred to over produce.
Just a suggestion but maybe you could prune more aggressively.
You obviously have great soil and it is probably impossible to keep up with the fruit tree management 😉
That citrus tree is great. Do you grow mangos too ?
Thank you Budd wik. No mangos because I ran out of space :)
The Guavas look great. You should thin the trees out before the fruits get too big. Make Guava jelly.
guava jelly sounds like a great idea. thanks
I have problem with growing citrus trees - they get attacked by leafminers very badly. Last winter I bought 2 orange trees in Home Depot and they are struggling now to survive. How do you fight leafminers? Do you buy small 1 y.o citrus trees? Thanks.
leaf miners are tough, but It doesn't kill the citrus trees. what region/area are you in?

Leafminers only target new tender growth. When you see new growth coming, spray it with Spinosad in the evening. Works for my trees. Only downside is you would need to do it for every new flush of growth .
What flour the Citrus ??
I don't know if you asked about the flavor or flour? The flavor/type is Gold Nugget Mandarine
