Heck yeah great video. Here in Dallas with it reaching over 100 pretty much daily, I have to water many times a day. The trees start to sag if I do not
Before I bought a timer, I accidentally left my high flow drip irrigation running for 6+ hrs a couple of months ago, and I panicked. My figs trees actually loved it and more fruit formed. Don’t be afraid to water (obviously not that long though).
QC Tropicals channel agrees that in heat it's better to overwater as long as you have well draining soil. This is because youtr fruit tree will die within hours if very dry in extreme heat while it would take weeks to damage your tree by overwatering. It's my first year growing fig trees in the arid southwest Texas heat (95°F+), and I had to really up the watering frequency to prevent drooping and dry leaves.

@@Stangy04 I agree everyone wants to make growing figs a science,it’s actually not that hard. Thank you for your comments and support.
I think I'm going to do drip irrigation too.
@@FigMadeira No problem, and exactly! I tend to over-think everything, so watering use to be a concern for me.
@@bringit3164 you won’t regret it!
I agree 100% but I would fertilize more often.
I agree Petar thank you for watching
