    • @TheEndorus
      @TheEndorus 3 года назад +2

      @@Saber-lw7ig Nope, to benefit from more ATP stored in a muscle you need to add far more than one scoop of creatine. If you are using 5 grams per day you are max on benefiting from it after ~ 2 weeks or something. No even the slightest benefit from using it pre in comparison to post workout, but there are people which can have issues with digestive system after taking creatine, that's why it is recommended to use it not pre, but if you use it consistently and it is working out for you it's all good.

    • @flynngriffin3027
      @flynngriffin3027 3 года назад +4

      You’re BCAA is absolutely obsolete. EAA is what you need as you require all the aminos that your body can’t naturally produce in order to aid in protein synthesis. Not just the 3 in branch chain.

    • @SpecialOperator
      @SpecialOperator 6 дней назад

      @@mdbnoh8ers Yes but they are absorbed faster since they are straight amino acids.
      Your body has to break down the protein in the protein powder to get the aminos, and don't forget most proteins are heavy and hard to digest.
      After the muscle is worked, the faster you get the aminos in your body the faster and more efficient the recovery and muscle synthesis, so having EAA drink ready at the gym is the best.
      Yes it's extra if you already take protein powders but it's good

    I made sure my husband only ate healthy food. He worked out and wanted to bulk up. He got a great body. We went to the YMCA in Santa Barbara CA in 1970. They had an excellent gym and steam room. We went back to Hawaii and our daughter was born. The gym there was the place the professional wrestler's worked out. Pedro Meralis (not sure of the spelling) and the VonSteiger brothers from North Carolina worked out there.. Pedro was World Champ with a sadistic personality. We moved to Oregon because they had the best gym in the country back in 1972.
    In Hawaii the wrestler's said he should go into wrestling.
    In Portland Pedro was who was in charge of the guys that wanted to wrestle. At the end he made the guys run in the basement back and forth and slam their heads into the rough cement walls. Pedro would laugh uncontrollably as blood would get worse. My husband knew better and that was that👍💪
    We both were very healthy and had a great life‼️

    Protein is important to muscle building. But protein drinks are a potential problem. Protein must be broken down into amino acids by protease and HCl which is an acid to build muscle. But when you mix protein powder with a liquid which has a pH at or above 7, you are guaranteed not to fully digest it. Many food-based allergens/sensitivities are very small proteins that make it into the bloodstream undigested. So protein drinks can not only be a poor source of amino acids they can also lead to systemic issues like fluid retention and inflamation.

Honestly it's more of the overwhelming amount of information and things to learn that has always made it hard for me to dig into it. Watching your videos has been a blessing. I don't know if it's the sound knowledge, sarcastic comedic entertainment, or easy to digest information. But something about your videos just motivates the shit out of me. There are too many things to list but I'm hitting the gym and I'm pushing myself to failure on every single set till my whole body hurts and I can barely lift a glass to my mouth or squat down to shit without collapsing. It's painful, but the progress I'm seeing and feeling is unreal. I'm actually starting to love the feeling and I can feel the direct connection to each muscle group when I'm doing a set and I know it's working. It's simple and easy to follow basics... When I get comfortable with what I've learned I'll start to actually incorporate routines and target specific muscle groups. I am enjoying this journey and can't wait to learn more. Just wanted to say thanks... Once I think I can survive it, I'll have to give your workout routine a go. God bless my guy.

      No advantage to taking it before/after the gym, the only thing with creatine (and same for beta-alanine) is that you have to take it every day, even rest days. If you take preworkout every day, then it can be easy to take creatine at the same time so you don’t forget. I try not to take pre workout every day, though, so I try to just remember creatine in my morning routine (and I don’t bother w/ beta-alanine myself)

    studies indicates all protein powders have an AAU of around 17%, which means, if you consume 100 grams of protein from a protein powder, your body will only use 17 grams to build and repair tissue. Other studies indicate protein shakes pass through you digestive tract in about 1.5 hours. In that time, your body will only get 10 to 15 grams of protein in that time. Digestive enzymes have been shown to increase this by as much as 50%, but that required 5 grams of digestive enzymes.
    Similarly, all plant-based protein has an AAU of 17%.
    WHOLE eggs are the best food source of protein, with an AAU in the high 40% range.
