I had this album when I was 14. I played the grooves off this track here.
I just love it so much.

The VOICE! Lady Melba nails this one like she did with Lean On Me and the Long & Winding Road Used to play this one when I DJ’d IN my college days. Rediscovering you again-can’t sleep on you! Saaaaaaang my soul happy, Lady Melba!

She is truly unsung....the early 70's she had a sitcom with Clifton Davis and earned a Tony for zPEARLIE....BREATHLESS...

This s FAB U LOUS. I knew some of the background choir as I attended their church in NYC back in the 70s. I miss Benny Diggs and Wilbur Johnson

This is one of my favorites by Melba. I remember listening to this album as an 8 year old back in '77, and thinking that Melba was the greatest voice I had ever heard. I wonder why nobody has uploaded I AM HIS LADY or MY SOUL IS SATISFIED from her Peach Melba LP (Buddah 1975).

I was 10 years old. I would look myself in my room and play this over and over. I also loved THE OTHER SIDE OF THE RAINBOW. I wanted to hold long notes too...Wow...

arthur, Melba doesn't have "church roots". She has Broadway roots. She's born again and sings the hex out of gospel...or anything else with a melody. I'm working with her now on her new record. But she should do a gospel album.

Van McCoy produced this album, released in 1976. He also produced her previous album that included her big disco hit "This Is It" which made the top 10 in the UK spring 76- also included the amazing "Lean On Me"

Actually, this album had 2 producers: van McCoy and Charles Kipps.

Your correct man! The pair had a really successful partnership throughout the 70's until Van's passing from cancer aged 39 in summer 1979. Melba of course is a living legend who continues to record and tour well into her 70's
