Carlotta is often popping up as THE place to be! The latest new hotspot for dining is Carlotta on Marylebone high street. An Italian with an 1980's (I think) twist on american-italian interiors and food. A wild restaurant design and some wild smells to go along with it... Also Nat and I do a bit of pre shopping along the lovely Marylebone streets.

What's your favorite restaurant in London
Thanks, Hannah.
I switched from Expressvpn to Nord last month.
I was very impressed with Nord.
I will be staying with them.
Better than 20% gratuity expected in USA!
Don't normally watch these videos but I thoroughly enjoyed it , good job ladies
"No one has a perfectly straight nose, unless they bought it." Well said. LOL.
I could feel and understand your disappointment. Thanks for saving us £ 140
The prices in the Midlands are shockingly close to those in London. Also "no nose is perfect unless you have bought it" loved the joke 🤣
I laughed out loud when she said that!
Me and my bf said this when we visited London this August. Except we don’t have the enhanced minimum wage here to make up for the prices.
You and your sister have the most beautiful smiles. Proper English roses. Though there is no Sun in the video, your smiles certainly make up for it.
Sweet comment ❤ I agree!
Totally agree ❤❤❤these lady's
Two sweet and beautiful ladies
Ditto .. .. Well said .. ..
I love Hannah and her sister 💗 💓 💕
The RICKETT SISTERS are on the loose again in Londontowne--Double the FUN!!😊😊
😂😂😂
Yay Nat's back. We love the dynamic duo.
Thanks for the review on the restaurant. In the beginning I thought "I have to check this place out next time we go to the UK" but as time passed I noticed how loud it got, how busy the decor was and the dessert looked a little funky, and then you said it reeked of cheese?! Oh heck no, I'm all set . Thanks for saving me $140 😂
That would be $178.
Such a sweet connection between you two. Fab as always 👍
You two melted my heart today, listening to your priceless connection where you obviously just get each other. Like a ray of sunshine on your rainy day!
That restaurant was way too…I dunno, gaudy? I’d struggle to spend more than an hour in there. Great to see Nat again ☺️
Love to hear the sisterly bantering.
Hannah that may be a London thing about not asking to take food home from your restaurant meal. I am 59 & have always asked ‘ for a doggy bag ‘ which means food container to take rest of meal home. Never been refused yet. Btw love watching your channel , I always like & I am subscribed
I’ve never been refused a doggy bag either
My understanding is you have bought the food and therefore it is yours.
Londoner here, born and raised. Always been able to get doggy bags when eating out.
That last place was such a scam! Unbelievable! Charging you to use their app to pay and it is the only way to pay?! Predatory.
Because you’ve already consumed the goods, you’re settling a debt which under U.K. law you get to decide how to settle it. If you offer cash or card and they decline it, they can’t sue/prosecute you for nonpayment if you then walk out because you offered payment and they refused the offer. So they will usually give in and accept cash/card.
This involves causing a scene usually so I guess it’s easier for most to pay the 99p, but I personally would ask to pay a normal way and if they make a big deal I’ll ask for the service to be removed 🤷🏼♂️
@@AbsoluteAudits Speaking to this practice that restaurants won't allow you to take home whatever you've paid for that you cannot eat. I saw this happen in a previous episode where Hannah was denied her request to take home the scones they were unable to eat. It's a waste of food!
I'd have been tempted to stuff a little note inside the bottom of one of the scones that the restaurant couldn't bear to part with. "If you read this note, they're serving you our leftovers."
@@AbsoluteAudits I'm not sure this is correct. There is no law which says a business has to accept payment as the customer chooses to pay it, they have a right to accept payment in whatever form THEY wish. I do believe, for their own sake, it would be wise to let one know ahead of time what forms they accept, and also that there is an extra charge made by the app for paying that way.
I googled and it's actually a chain, not a single restaurant! No wonder it was understaffed. Someone calls in sick at other place, someone needs go over fast.
@@isabellind1292brilliant idea😉🌟
I live in Spain, and it's basically illegal for establishments to not offer you take home boxes! It cuts down waste, and means there's a snacking opportunity later on some time.
Also, in France, you must be given a takeaway container.
How civilized!!!
Must be a London thing because I’m in the uk but I’ve never been refused
What a weird law. But I must say I’ve never been anywhere in the uk where they don’t give a take home box for leftovers.
In Australia we call them doggy bags. But they are basically to go boxes.
What a waste of food. You should change this mindset of not having to go boxes. 🇦🇺
Enjoyed this episode. Visiting stores I won’t get into. Food and restaurants. Seeing the neighborhood. Perfect. Thanks for your work. You and your sister have good chemistry.
I absolutely love listening to you and Natalie converse with each other, lol!!! Exactly like sisters and its just perfect. Enjoyed your video so much as usual, please keep making them!!! London is so different from Alberta, Canada and such a nice departure. Have a wonderful week Hannah!!!
Hannah I always love it when you and Nat team up for a restaurant review! Your high standards of integrity are appreciated. A bit of cheese is nice in moderation. But seriously. A nutrient dense meal can be had for sixteen plus pounds. Is this our cashless future? A 99 cent charge to pay a bill with an qpp? The coffee shop at La Frommagerie looked like my cup of tea. Anyway this was a lot of fun seeing you two ladies together again. Take good care and I'll look for you again this Tuesday 6PM your time. And thank you very much to the two of you for an absolutely wonderful vlog!
Norway is one of a few cashless countries, now. I don't know if Americans will ever be up to using plastic to pay for a cup of coffee but then they're also one of the last three countries on the planet who haven't gone metric so they'll probably be the last hold-outs on both accounts, lol!
@@isabellind1292 I'm not sure what you mean? Most of us in America use cards or our phones to pay for things in cafes, restaurants, the grocery store, etc. ETA: I should note that our country is absolutely huge, so I can't speak for every place. I'm sure there are some cash-heavy towns/states here, but living on the East Coast and having traveled a fair bit, I can say that I rarely see people paying with cash these days.
@@haute03 Oh. I stand corrected. I really didn't think it'd become that prevalent in the States. (But I'm still leaning on the US being the last to switch over to metric, lol). Thank you.
agreed. A cashless future is a huge worry though. We need to hold onto cash 100%
Marylebone High Street is probably the best urban high street anywhere. Please continue to vlog it!!
My old hunting grounds from childhood, love walking the streets. I was born to shop !! 🇬🇧🇬🇧
The dynamic duo 🎉. I agree with Natalie on the noise and too much for the senses. I lol 😂 at “ No 1 has a straight nose unless they paid for it “. It’s gems 💎 like that , that make you so awesome Hannah ❤👍
a rainy vlog but certainly felt so warm watching every minute of it. Hannah twice a week is already a treat and with Nat in, definitely double the fun double the treat!
génoise is a cake from Gênes, an italian town from Italy. The cake is pronounced jénnwaz, from jenn (in french/ however the town in italian is Genoa, but the pastry is famous in France)
No takeaway was one of the biggest culture shocks between US and England. From our perspective, I feel like the restaurant was loud and busy, and I love a relaxing meal if I'm being waited on. Great review, and I love the mocktail options.
I’m in the uk and I’ve taken food home a few times.
Oh dear lovely Hannah and sister Natalie. Too British to complain, just not enough London to complain, sorry sweet girl. The shops are lovely to look at, but the prices are ridiculous. Thank you for taking us with you and giving up a day off to show us what is there. Didn't know that London shops don't open til 10 am the end of the week, they didn't in my day, back in the dark ages x
All stores are 10am in the week and 12 on Sunday!
@HannahRicketts Goodness. I had a couple of friends worked weekends in Oxford Street and had to be there early for 9 am opening Saturdays not sure about Sundays. Sorry playing the senior card here, it was nearly 60 yrs ago 😆. I would like to tell your parents that they raised two beautiful girls. You even thanked the staff on leaving Carlotta's even though you had bad service. You girls are so nice, and that is a compliment.
Thanks for sharing…99 pence to use an app to pay your bill, THAT’S OUTRAGEOUS!!!!! I would just have gotten pizza😂
If you’re bothered about 99p then that restaurant is not fair you, lol. Stick to ya local chippy love I’m sure can get something to eat for less than a fiver and your 99p will be safe. For those of us who aren’t as stingy, 99p is nothing. I give more than that to street beggars.
TGIF, Hannah! Fabulous to see you and your sister doing a little shopping and sharing lunch together again. The trip to Daunt Books was fun…always a good laugh with some children’s books. The loo in Carlotta was great…if a little odd, especially all the red light. The food looked amazing…the dessert was quite a showstopper. Have an amazing weekend and hopefully your weather warms up soon! See you Tuesday!
It is the first day of winter here in Sydney . Very wet and 15C seems about the same as your start to summer🤔. Hmm AU$ 260 seems high for what you had. Maybe the cheesy smell was extra.😊🇦🇺
I love the Sibling banter! Keep having your sister on more videos!
Thank you for braving the rain for our sake. True London vibes :)
I love Hannah and Natalie vlogs!! 🤗🩷
The restaurant seemed overwhelming. But the food looked delicious. I love watching you and your sister shop and share a meal together. Another amazing vlog
Nice bit of escapism away from all the troubles in the world.
Does that mean you usually put your attention on the troubles of the world? Can’t you find a hobby or something interesting to do because surely focusing on the troubles of the world, that aren’t even yours, can’t be healthy and it is a bit weird.
That was a different kind of restaurant...a lot noisy for me. I loved the shopping though, lol always fun to see what you get into. Thank you both for taking us along with you! Yes, Hannah, a trip to the museum, it's been a very long time since I was there. Have a wonderful week you two!
You Rickett sisters should both be on catwalks at a fashion show!
In New South Wales, we call takeaway containers in restaurants, doggy bags lol. They are legal but restaurants can choose not to allow it. It’s on the customer to keep the food safe after leaving the restaurant.
Wonderful to see you and your sister hanging out together..Another great, fun video💖
You are so nice with your sister that is warming my heart.
Lars in Sweden
Do people in London not thinking they are getting ripped off paying £8.40 for a fresh loaf ?? I can understand the cost off the property for the shop but £8.40 for a loaf 🙈🙈🙈🙈
No, the higher wages even things out and you’re not getting ripped off if it’s worth it to you, and if it’s not, you won’t buy it. But the quality and taste of that bread is like no other, I’d pay a tenner for it, but I love bread ☺️ I pay just under a fiver for my regular loaf and that’s up north, which is way cheaper, so £8.40 is a good price.
I think the noise level in that restaurant is more than I could handle
Happy Friday Hannah
You certainly do have a knack for finding the craziest loos!
The cheese selection in La Fromagerie was so dreamy. And the disco ball on the ceiling, LOL!
Where the Crawdads Sing is beautifully written, but heart wrenchingly sad.
You both are adorable and basically it is hard to see vloggers being honest over something nowadays.Great job to you
Most places don't have to go boxes? Thats being wasteful with food.
It is true, Hannah. Americans are "sue happy" over here. I'm afraid to let children play in my yard for fear of getting sued if the child gets hurt. Its awful we can't have community comradery like we used to , back in the day. One UP note I do love the videos of you and your sister. Thank you so much. donna from north carolina
Ha ha, when I was a kid I would have loved that "Bum or Face" book! Brilliant idea. Here's an idea for a video: visit all the London locations where Four Weddings and a Funeral was filmed. The final scene in the rain was at 22 Highbury Terrace.
Love seeing your time spent with your lovely sister. That restaurant would have overwhelmed me too - too much visual noise.
Visual noise, auditory noise, olfactory noise.... too much!
A very unusual restaurant. The food looked good. The wedding photos of unknown people makes it look totally impersonal. It’s lovely that you take your sister out, she needs the time out from her busy life.
In situations like that, I would ask for the 13.5% to be removed and just leave £10 and being asked 99p to use the app is outrageous
Sisters shopping and lunching, lovely video x
Another fun and fabulous video from the girls. I don’t see my sister anymore so I love to see the connection between you two, you’re very lucky! I love the descriptions, they really paint a picture .. and I could almost feel the stuffiness when you mentioned it.. Keep the new ones coming, I feel like I’m there in London with you .. cheers from Down Under xxx
Same. I used to be close to my sister like this and natter away while we shopped. Alone in Melbourne now. Living a sisterly bond vicariously through these two 😊
That restaurant looks like just the one in which Tony Montana was wining and dining, while his unhappy girlfriend kept sneaking out to the loo to powder her nose. EDIT: I do wish they had forgotten the "bright" idea of treating a religious object as just a piece of toilet scenery. That's rude.
I agree with you.
The cheese (at the shop, not in the restaurant) is what I want! There is nothing like a day spent with a sister who likes to do the same things as you! You ladies are delightful!
I've never heard of using an "app" to pay. That is really weird! What happens if you don't have a smartphone?
I enjoyed the walk in the rain! 😊 I thought the restaurant was visually appealing - not sorry I didn’t have to smell stinky cheese for the duration.
Always a pleasure to see you and your sister together ❤
Dear Hannah nice to see Nat again.and where the Crawdads Sing is a good film.XO 🌹
Another fun and entertaining Vlog featuring Hannah and her sister. Loved it.
Dear first world girls .. love you both. The place looked seriously kitsch!!! Always love seeing you two you are both beautiful and so enjoy your company ❤️👍
yayyy the girls are back in town...always special episode when Nat turns up...
Love when you meet up with your sister 😊It’s 31st May and cold and raining in Norfolk 🙄come on summer 😂I loved the look of the restaurant looked much bigger than the outside portrayed 😂👍
Love this Hannah. Truthful review. More please.
Eddy and Patsy out on the town again.
You and your sister are beautiful inside and out. You both are blessed with pureness, class, and kind heart personalities. I watch your videos every week and enjoy all of them. Wife and I been to London once but we both love London ❤️❤️
Another fun episode. Love when you and Nat get together. Laughed out loud at your review of the restaurant. Thanks for spending £137 (plus 99p) so we don’t have to!!
We don’t have to🧐 what do you mean? Was someone making you go before this video came out? I’d like to go, it looks lovely. I’ll probably go the next time I’m in London.
Hey HANNAH ANOTHER REALLY REALLY GREAT VLOG WITH YOU AND YOUR SISTER NATALIE.HOPE YOU BOTH HAD A REALLY GREAT TIME TOGETHER AND A REALLY GREAT LUNCH.THERE ARE SOME VERY EXSPENSIVE LOOKING SHOPS IN LONDON BUT ITS A GREAT WANDERY PLACE THE RESTAURANT LOOKED VERY UPMARKET .I REALLY ENJOY YOUR VLOGS HANNAH.AND HAVING YOUR SISTER ON WITH YOU TODAY MADE IT EXTRA SPECIAL.I REALLY REALLY CHILLED OUT WATCHING THE VLOG .AND REALLY REALLY ENJOYED WATCHING.YOUR VLOGS ARE SO INTERESTING AND TO SEE ALL THESE DIFFERENT PLACES IS SO GREAT.THANK YOU SO MUCH HANNAH AND NATALIE FOR TAKING US ALL ALONG WITH YOU AGAIN TODAY.FROM DAN.M
Two pretty ladies.I never get tired of watching your vlogs. One of the nicest, genuine creators on here.xx
How do you always find the most interesting restrooms, including your vlog of the one that used to be a loo that’s now a restaurant 😂. From a US perspective, no “doggie bags”, really?
Hannah - You've done it again. You've brought sanity to the insanity of viral videos hawking places and things. I live very close to NYC. Can't tell you how many long lines I've stood in to try food that has gone viral only to be utterly disappointed. And don’t get me started about cosmetics. Done with wasting money. And once something goes viral prices are out of control. keep up the great work. Love your sister too. And I love your sense of humor. ❤
No more of being a sucker for viral content.
Love the plates and gold cutlery there!
I so appreciate your honesty! Love your vlog
Your Sister is getting more relaxed on camera. I love London in the rain so your video today made me smile. Well your videos always make me smile. Have a beautiful weekend.
Really enjoy your walks around London and your restaurant reviews with your sister. So refreshing Hannah thank you.
One thing that i really liked about your vlogs is that you are always honest with your opinion towards those sky rocketing prices for clothing wear, fashion or even desserts. You are not acting and normalising the fact that a smart piece of dessert costing £4.20 and you also acknowldeging that it is a luxury treat to oneself sometimes when deserved. This is gold character for an RUclipsr because you are displaying a correct value to your viewers than pretending that spend £20 on pastries is something common and to be normalised? We somehow get a lot of RUclipsr/ influencers pretending themselves that spending fortune on fashion and treats is something ‘normal’ and portraying themself as somebody who is overly wealthy is abnormal. I have seen RUclipsr who struggled to pay their rent behind the scene but they insisted to live the high life standard.
You are not just honest with your opinion and made it a pleasure for us to watch your videos, but you have also displayed a woman with quality. That’s the real wealth in you. Love you so much! ❤ Keep it up Hannah !
Really enjoy mooching along with you both. You have a great sister relationship and it’s lovely seeing you get along so well especially your banter and relaxed style - it feels like we’re right there with you. Looks a beautiful restaurant but smell is an important part of the sensory experience. Thanks for taking us along on your afternoon out! Looking forward to next month’s outing.
if you like Italian food, when my wife and I were in London last April (2023), we found Terra Rossa near St Paul. Take it from an Italian from across the pond, great food there! The interior of Terra Rossa is nothing like Carlotta - big surprise! Just a nice traditional Italian restaurant with a few large murals (and nothing like that ladies room!!!)
FYI the term 'across the pond' is used to describe the Atlantic between the USA and Great Britain 😂
@@ticketyboo2456 we live in Massachusetts btw... 😉
I think it's gotten to the point that showing others you have been somewhere, rather than enjoying the experience is what matters.
😂😂 no
Nope. 😂
Agreed ...
It got to that point a long time ago!
I have recently discovered your channel and have been binging your videos❤ As a certified Disney nut, I nearly died when you referenced Pizza Rizzo as a comparison 😂😂😂
Always a pleasure to see you and your sister enjoying and sharing with us the best of London. Too bad the lovely nieces were not with you😊
Wow,speechless re your payment for your food.A fun Friday vlog.😄🎉Hooray we have 🌞in Scotland all w end.😄
I love when Hannah says ‘yum indeed’. So iconic 😊
Thank you for sharing. I would not like to smell cheese for one and a half hours either😮
LMBO at the bum vs. face book - 'this isn't what people clicked for' - IT ABSOLUTELY IS what I clicked for!!! haahhahaa ❤ ❤
Not sure if it just me but there are loads of times I can hear Nat but not you Hannah? Especially when you are outside! 🤷♀
Just noticed in Carlotta it might be because your mic is inside your shirt and covered?
Was the smell not the cheese you guys brought ? 😂 sticky hotel but I’m sure you brought some bits in the fromagerie! Way to stimulating a restaurant by the looks! Way too much going on!! ❤️
Loved your shopping spree before lunch. The lunch place was sooooo noisy that I could hardly hear or understands what you two were talking about. Anyway, it was nice for you to share your sister with us today... have a lovely weekend.
Not gonna lie Hannah, the weather has been dull, grey & flipping freezing here in Northants today, this week, this month 😏
I really enjoy watching you going to all of the nice stores and restaurants around London this is always awesome to see
have a beautiful weekend Hannah.🇬🇧💞💞🇬🇧
Looks like y’all had a great time piddlin' around in the piddlin' rain ❤
Just love coming with you both, so honest and fun .thankyou 🤗
Hannah…….I MISS LONDON! You and your sister are adorable together! Have a lovely weekend in spite of the rain. Cheers, 💕🇺🇸
For me, it looked like a gaudy place on Hollywood Blvd. But the food looked good. Thanks beautiful ladies.
My husband was given a box of Pierre Marcolini macarons and a box of their chocolates as a gift from a parent of a child he teaches and I've never in my life had macarons like them. Would highly recommend people try them, if only just once in their life!
For £140 or so I’d want something better than a 6/10. Bums or faces , now that was funny😂
Hannah as soon as I saw where you were going for lunch I thought oh no hope the pungent cheese smell is not prevalent. I went in the Summer it was a hot day - my friends & I had too leave & really we are not ones to moan we normally make the best of a bad situation. As Nat said - it was bad & it was a cold day.
The ceiling decor in the coffee place is called caning.
Hannah uses the term "boujee" a lot, so, hailing from Sydney, Australia, I thought I would Google the meaning. Upon investigation, I was surprised to find out it meant: "a thin, flexible surgical instrument for exploring or dilating a passage of the body". Thinking this odd, I quickly did a spell check and corrected it from "bougie" to "boujee". Apparently, it`s a slang word meaning: "luxurious in lifestyle yet humble in character." 😅Hey. Don`t judge. I`m from Australia after all.
Great video beautiful sisters! 👍🏽 The restaurant gives me posh mafia vibes if thats a thing 🤷🏽♂️😁, could have been used in Goodfellas.
Didn't like that they had a religious statue in the bathroom.😮🙁
Thanks for the Luncheon! Such fun! (that ladies room made me feel sick!--RED--imagine if you have had too much of the vino! Agh!). so fun seeing Nat again - and that cheese shop was fantastic! Cheers to you both from the N. Georgia Mountains, USA!
Thanks for your honest comments on Carlotta’s I had a day in Marylebone last Thursday, better weather, sorry yours was so wet
