Well yes, but that's due to China eating dogs and cats which 90% of the world owns as pets. barely any one owns Iguanas as pets and they can only be found on some parts of the world, and due to a lot of people not having them as pets people won't really care at all. there the equivalent of a deer in Florida so there's a ton there just running around so that's why people don't go crazy over that.

Yeah, they're super invasive here. I live in tampa, so it isn't as bad, but down further south it's crazy how many you'll see. Took a cruise down to key west once, and the first animal I saw was a wild iguana
they're an invasive species. They originated a escaped or abandoned pets, and the climate is habitable. But they're disruptive to the navitve birds and reptiles. That's why they're free to just capture and eat with without needing a permit or waiting for the season.
