The Doors - Light My Fire (Live Version)
- Based on The Doors' Light My Fire (Live in Pittsburgh, 1970). I added a bass change at the end. I don't play a great solo here but at least I think it averages. Hope you like it all. I took this version for its 10 minutes longitude. Please excuse the mistakes! Thanks =)
P.S. Original video using the actual recording was banned due to copyright laws. -
Perfectly recreated. Ray is smiling on his cloud. :)
I hope he is.
what a 2 stroke this song is
I'm not sure if that means positive n_n' Anyhow, thanks for commenting! :)
This guy is great! He really captures Manzarek's style.
Thanks a ton!
Realy
I'm your Robby clone for dates in France
Never been to France. Maybe one day 😊
Gracielas bro!
Yeah! Light My Fire!!!!! Is one the best Songs of THE DOORS, Robbie Krieger Rules!!!
This video capted the fantastic sound of Ray Manzarek!
The Doors Forever!
Peace!
I’m glad it help you, man. Old is just the one who doesn’t want to learn anymore. Keep it up! and thanks for the support!
There’s no need for envy bro. Music is not a competition =) Thanks very much for the support. Good vibes!
I closed my eyes and just listened. Wonderful! Brilliant!
I'm very glad you liked it. Thanks a ton!
I'm curious ... how do you "split" your brain to play both keyboards. I always wondered how Manzarek did that.
I believe it's more a feeling than a technique
Great feeling, I would guess which side do you like more? I've always asked my self how to play both side at the same time with one brain only, this should be Talent, just like a God
It's the ultimate "gift" in playing keyboards. I've been playing for about 40 years. It's the "talent" portion. Not really needed to play most rock pieces. Listen to some ELP and you'll hear that observation put into song. Good comment.
I'm just a mere human, Roberta, nevertheless your enthusiam is very welcome =) Sometimes I like one side over the other but generally I like them both. Thanks a ton for the support!
Well the bass and keyboard are accenting each other in their own ways. It's about feeling how the rhythms of each are playing off each other.
I think so too about the doors’ basslines, man… and don’t worry I didn’t take it bad. It’s been a long time since I played like that so it took me some minutes to get used to it again. It was very constructive. I’m always glad to receive feedbacks about my performance =)
That was a real treat! From a bassist and hardwire Door's fan of over 50 years.
I’m very glad you liked it. Thanks a ton!
Yeah, you're right I play that bassline. Sometimes I don’t feel like playin the same three notes of the chord or four…as some people do. I don’t quite follow the book. I play the basslines as I like them and as I think they sound better, at least for me (I also kinda add it as a signature n_n’) Likewise I make variations in songs like Blue Sunday or Soul Kitchen where I use it to differ from When The Music’s Over (although it was made first)
oooooohhhhh, this was actually fantastic. I seldom listen 10 minutes of anyone playing on youtube, but boy, this was well worth it.
I'm very glad you liked it. Your support are quite welcome!
Perfect version with all the energy!!!!! Veryyyyy goooooddddd!🤯
I'm very glad you liked it. Thanks a ton!
I had been watching Ray's solo videos, and this video started playing automatically, I thought it was too good and when I saw that it wasn't touched by Ray I was amazed. You do tremendously well, man!
Your support is very welcome! :)
The bass is great! You nailed this!
Pure bliss..
Mind blowing bro..
I'm glad you liked it! Thanks!
I like it so much, Your personal version is so good, thank you!

Gracias miles man!
This is the second video I've watched from you. I really like The Doors and always been jealous of instrument players, especially keyboard and drums :) I just wanted to say I loved your videos and I'm sure I'm going to watch all other videos of you. I feel good just because I saw someone doing this. Nice work man !
You're very kind to say so bro. Thanks a ton for the support!
Good work, I really liked it.....Always one of my favourites I mentioned to my brother, a musician, that the solo was good but the bassist was good too..........then he explained it was Ray playing both parts!!!
Yeah, I was amazed the first time I knew about it too. Thanks for the support!
Saved my day! Groovy playing !
I'm glad you liked it. Thanks for the support!

Felicitaciones!!

Rock ON, man. This is total bliss. I think you've got a Ray Manzarek gene somewhere in you because you certainly come out of the same vibe. Thank you for sharing (and motivating me to learn how to play the damn piano.)
I'm really glad you like it bro. Thanks a bunch for the support! =)
In fact, those are no synths. The red one is a Yamaha YC-30 Combo Organ and the lil’ one is a Rhodes Piano Bass. Thanks for commenting =)
I think it's a fine effort. Well done!!
great job man! you rocked it. you had your own flair and that's the best. I'd bet Ray would applaud you. not easy to play at all.
I'm very glad you like it, man! Thanks for the kind words!
I'm glad you enjoyed it.The organ is a Yamaha YC-30.

Hey there, I recently got a Yamaha YC 30 in white (!). Great instrument, and I like your playing on yours. I'll have to work on it a bit more - I am a drummer for ages -, and your video really encourages me to do so. Thanks for sharing.
The YC-30 is great combo organ, very versatile. I'm glad to know my video helped you in some way. Keep practicing! Thanks for the commenting. Good vibes!
Thanks very much! I'm glad you enjoyed it. =)
that was freaking awesome!
I'm glad you liked it. Thanks a ton!
BRAVO!!! MAN!!! ROCK IT BROTHAH!!! I have never been able to get that intro down. My fingers just want to trip over each other. I had a Vox Jaguar. Loved it. Some scum bag stole it. That's a very vice Yamaha you got there. Always wanted one of those piano bases too. Anyway I'll shut up now but you really know how to rock it! Thanks for your time and thanks for the music!
I'm very glad you liked it. Pretty sad about your Jaguar. You just keep on playing and you'll get it right. Don't rush it. Thanks a bunch for the support!
Encuentro increíble la improvisación de este tipo!!!!

Well "the drummer" were my fingers on BFD (virtual instrument) n_n' . About the bass line, I have already answered to that some comments below. Thanks for stopping by =)
what wisdom on that fingers
Master.
Gracias!
Saludoors!! y Felices fiestas!!
That's AWESOME! Ray would've been impressed
I sure hope so. Thanks a bunch for the support!
I’m not that young either, man. Didn’t mean to offend you. Sorry if I did. Well, I really don’t remember exactly when I started, all I remember is having classes as a child with a red book (I think I still have it) and again at 15, during summer, but I was already able to play some Queen songs. One year later I was playing Light My Fire (studio version). Man, I’ve never heard a Hammond live. They say they have this crystal sound not reproducible by any software. They definitely worth it.
Thanks!
Nice version!
Awesome!
Thanks!
awesome dude!
Thank you!
Great! Unique!
Thanks! :)
Thanks bro!

Sorry, my mistake. I didn’t understand very well the term ‘sbaglia’. Thought it was ‘distracts’. About the bassline, I’ve already answer to that some comment below. Thanks again for stopping by.

Brilliant :D
Uber Cool! nice groove man
Thanks bro!
Amazing playing here especially huge fan of this one since I live close to Pittsburgh and listened to the concert plenty of times. You should try the aquarius concerts I think it was 1969 and he had the vox for some reason.
Yeah, I should have used that backing track instead but I really liked that concert too. Thanks for the support!
Gracias man =)
Gracias, bro! =)
All those thumbs down must be very jealous people......this takes me back to the late 80s Doors revival along with the second summer of love The Madchester scene Inspiral carpets etc...
+uglycustard1 You're very kind to say so. Thanks a bunch for the support!

Daaaaaaaaaaaaaamn. I wish my friend can play like you. We're gonna be doing a doors song for the talent show in April(preferably this one, so I don't need to play too much on guitar and sing at the same time). I hope he can be as good as you
Your support is quite welcome, bro. Thanks!

Nice playing!
For a moment I thought that you were playing through a Vox Continental, until I realized that it was a Yamaha YC30. It does sounds great!
