Hi mate, great demo. Do you think this is powerful enough on hard clay?

Thanks mate, where I live is hard clay and I filmed this in a wet winter, I would say go the big brother of this one as you would need to dig 20-30cm with this one and then fill the hole with water to soften up the ground during summer. Still miles easier than the crowbar and shovel 👍🏻

If you were able to test, Do you think the HP batteries are necessary for this or was there not much of a difference?

I have both, to be honest I didn’t notice a difference, the stock batteries have enough juice to run this machine no probs

Hi, I have to dig a hole to bury a my deceased labrador dog. My neighbour and his mate has only managed to dig the whole approx 30cm deep as the clay is hard. I was looking at buying this machine to dig some holes to loosen the clay and then shovel the clay out to have a hole deep enough etc to bury my dog. My question is do you think this machine will do the job before I purchase it. Thanks Lisa

Hey Lisa, sorry about your dog, if the clay is damp and tree root free it should be fine, if not the bigger 36v machine would be the go, my yard is all clay and it is fine just need to have the ground soaked, good luck

Thank you for the reply. I will buy 1 and give it a go. Even if it takes a bit of time. Thanks Lisa

Hi, just wanted to let you know I didn't buy the post hole digger, I decided to pay someone to dig the hole as I was not sure if it would get through the clay at my home and I needed it done asap. After watching him dig the hole (with a shovel) the ryobi post hole digger would have got the job done easily. If I need to dig a hole in the future I will buy one. Thanks Lisa
