    I just got one...
The first run, I had to recharge the battery twice to finish ny lawn. The 2nd time I used 1/4 of a charge.👍👍👍

I have this same edger and it is one of the best Ryobi products I’ve purchased. Does a much better job than the 18V string edgers and well worth the price. Great video 👍🏻👍🏻

Great bit of kit man especially if you’re just maintaining well manicured edges, but the 36V will blow your mind.

I’ll bet, maybe a future purchase

US sells either 18V or 40V. I didnt see 36V in US Home Depot. Even 18V , 2.AH, 4AH or 6AH battery will make difference. I use 18V with 4AH battery with height 1, it makes seamless edging. You can adjust height 1-4. Height 1 makes deeper cut.

@@OctPSfever yeah, the Australian market has the 36v range, but you have the 40v range in the US. You also have more tools available to you in the 18v range than we have here (at least at the moment)

Thankyou for the video. I bought the same 18V RYOBI edger BUT I am 5’ tall and the machine is too long. So I moved the handle to the lower shaft but it can’t stay fixed and wobbles around. There is no way I can see to shorten the shaft. I’d appreciate your help

      Hi there
So I just checked mine out and the handle can be moved to the lower part of the shaft no problems (I must have a different model to you) you could always grab an old rubber bike tube, cut a length, place under the handle bracket and tighten, hopefully it can get you out of trouble, thanks for watching, good luck

I got one for fathers day this year. im having trouble finding a guide line to use. what do you use for a guide? you want the blade to be closer to the footpaths and not the grass, is that right?. i was thinking of drawing a line on the safety cover to show me where the blade is.

I agree it can be hard to judge where the blade is at first, I tilt it on its side a bit first to see where it will engage with and have it on its highest setting, once you have used it a few times you get a feel for it and will have perfect edges 👌

Hello, is there something to stop it from accidentally cutting into the concrete and breaking the blade? I want to buy it but scared I might do this by accident

No there isn’t, you get the hang of it pretty quick and replacement blades are like $15 practice on the higher setting until you get it 👍🏻
