So much to love here !!! My dear friend and mentor, James Moody !!! Clark's all around brilliance, and the slick Star Eyes quote. Sweets' laid back but rock solid time feel, and Straighten Up and Fly right quote. And this is just to name a few in a slew of brilliance and deeply swingin' playing.........

This is the wonderful music and talent that is missing today. These phenomenal musicians were among the very best who ever existed.

Just say "The Lord". When people say "the good Lord", it means that they don't really believe.

Don’t forget Pete Minger. He can be heard on the On the Road album. “There will be never be another you” with Count Basie’s band. What a cadenza!

Excellent all round, but the standout for me is Ray Brown - very clearly recorded. His lines are superb, and the intonation is spot on. Bass playing doesn't get better than that.

Nice to see a video of this piano giant. Until I saw this, I had only his superb recordings for Blue Note, from 1958 through 1962.

the fact that Diz adjusted Clark's microphone says the level of respect he had for clark(and im sure vice versa) and that clark was the real deal. Clark's my favorite of all time.

I just love how clark terry starts his solo, taking over moody's idea and then bringing it back when drums and piano come back in (beginning of his 2nd chorus)
