You gotta love Soupy, the man is struggling to wipe the grin off his face. In an era of overly structured football, he is a player that can get you off the edge of your seat with his directness. It was the year of the underdog in both hurling and football and good to see players who have soldiered for so long without much reward winning the big prize near the end of their careers.

I don't understand Galway's obsession with hand passing in the forward line. It seems passing for the sake of it when good forward play is incisive quick passing like the Armagh goal. They were at the same craic against Donegal.

Let's be honest with ourselves.
Both teams being as brutal as each other made it interesting but that's about it.
Armagh parking the bus even with the ball and Galway forgetting how to score.
The quality of football was dire and if it wasn't a final it's forgotten about the next day.
The scores in the game were amazing.
