Great job explaining the differences in these 2 different tire inflators. The differences of power input from the 12v plug or the direct battery clamps and which on can be powered on with the engine running or not to prevent damage to electrical components. I have just killed a Slime inflator just like this on a small car tire (something like 195/60R14, not sure) for a person I was helping out...and to think of it, I had this inflator for my own possible use for my 10-ply truck tire (265/75R16). I'll go with a direct battery clamp style now. Thank you very much for this video.

My Slime tire inflator requires the engine to be running before use in the instructions. It only says to make sure it isn't plugged into the cigarette socket when you crank it. Plugging it in after it's cranked is fine. I have a later model though. That may be why. Mine is model #: 40030

You need to keep the engine running or you are going to drain the battery.

Never keep the engine running with slime air compressor. You'll blow a fuse

Instructions state to keep the engine off with the Slime inflator or damage could occur.
